Love your videos!! I’m heading up to Ear Falls for the first time in 25+ years. Bringing my son along for his first Canadian fishing experience. We summer in N MN with exceptional fishing opportunities here, but we are really looking forward to our trip to Lac Seul. We winter in SW FL and the E bicycle is all the rage down there. Your kayak reminds me of that.
I moved away a few years ago. Watch out for the reefs on lac suel, I’ve seen too many boats come back with no bottom ends. I’m going back for the long weekend
@@hulkhogan1942 Thank you. Yes, I’ve heard about Lac Seul being rough on lower units. I bought a Lake Master chip for the Helix. I’m hoping it and guidance from the locals will help keep us out of trouble.
Still on the fence about those beauty's.. so, at that size and weight, you need a trailler if you have a car or a small suv. For 3700$, you can either get that kayak or a 12' ultralight aluminum boat with a 3hp motor. Alot more space in the boat. And no pedals.. those are so nice and cool. But for the same convenience as a small boat, I'm not sure i would go for them.. ✌️👌👊♥️🐟
I got a 8 ft inflateable boat w/ an ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 outboard. I love my setup but looking at this old town I still feel a little bad about my purchase. And the reason is very simple, a regular boat with an outboard has you facing backwards and requires you hands to control the engine. This kayak can be steered and controlled using feet only, and you're facing forwards. Had I know this was coming a year ago, I would've gotten this setup instead because it honestly looks nicer.
@Black-March yeah but it's 8' and inflatable.. a 12' aluminum boat is different.. for sure you can't fish it on the spot like the kayak, that's a fact.. but with the same electronic set-up and way more room.. you can even have a bud with you! ✌️👍
Old Town is the king of kayaks/canoes in my opinion....best hulls by far....still have my 1st kayak, the vapor 10 angler which I use more often than my bigger, heavier yak....HIGHLY, recommend Old Town
That's a really big kayak. I love my PDL120 and really only got mine after your review of it. Not sold on the e side of this kayak. Looks really good though.
Hey jay thanks for this video i was looking into a kayak/rig for next years ontario kayak bass trail and the timing couldn't be better. My question is what is the sonar mount with battery compartment that you are using? If you're ever in the parry sound area on my home lake i'm marking monsters in 80-100+ feet water and I have no idea what they are or how to catch them. Tight lines buddy love your videos watch them with the wife all the time
I hear more people loving on Old Town over Hobies. I'm going to have to think about it this summer, maybe next year I'll be ready to upgrade my Wilderness Systems ATAK 140!
These kayaks is something I’d live to have for small rivers around my house. But the price is little pricey and I’d rather buy a used 14’ aluminum boat with a 9.9 and trailer for same price. But that’s a sweet rig for solo fishing.
As a senior on a fixed income, any guidance on a very affordable/economical vessel. With today's food prices, any help to beat the insane costs is a bonus.
Jay I’m not a techie guy I talk to you a couple years ago about where a guy could buy a couple diesel reels they really look great! And would love to add to my arsenal !
Hard to justify this kayak with so much money invested in a fishing boat. While it would be nice to get into our northern pothole lakes with a kayak, will stick to lakes and rivers with the boat. When boats are more expensive than most peoples cars nowadays, hard to not be fishing in it all the time.
That’s the dream rig right there!! You should figure something out with old town to do a give away 😅🎉
Love every video you have made Jay! I'm still catching up on all the vids but wish me luck catching my first ever muskie this weekend!

Very nice! Hope that you are planning some tournament videos from the new rig.
Excellent video footage! Thank you!❤
I got the bonafide rvr 119. Got 2 Muskie and 6 smallmouth so far this year on my local river. Wish old town made a river kayak

Do you have a video on that Garmin setup? I fish from a small boat myself and that looks amazing.
Glad to see you like the setup!
"and were gonna drill some holes" That line kept me thinking we were going to switch to hard water mid-video.
After having both, would you choose this or a yak with a trolling motor. Spot lock would be so nice.
Try fishing in seine river wpg. Some huge walleye if u use a live minnow, and lots of pike

must be fun to always be catching big fish
Any idea on run time or distance covered on a full charge?
Kayak Derb! Nice boat!

Beauty of a machine.
That kayak looks awesome, Jay. Hello everyone!! Hi, Sam and H!!
Flat back on the crow river for cheap used off the craigs lol
I know you said bass was open in your area..but I also know bass only hit this time of year on top of nests..
What app are you using for speedometer?

did you use to live in gretna manitoba
Drill twice, measure once. Thats exactly how i built my kayak😂
Very stable kayak
Nice yak. What do they retail for?
5k
Very nice kayak, but the price is crazy!
I own a PDL 120 and love every second I spend on it, but this is the sexiest kayak I’ve ever seen. I quit watching horn if you know what I mean
Look it looks like a nice thing to fish from, but at what point are we going to stop calling it kayak?

Hi Jay! Awesome video! You should go to the boundary waters I think that would make for an epic vid!
❤️🎣
Love my own fishing kayak but I'd be lying if I said I didn't think this was a cool kayak.
Very good very nice
A gopro would've been a smaller less cumbersome camera setup...
Some people call them kayaks, some people call them pylons.

Crazy sexy control
The Nucanoe is better in every way. Sorry but if you know , you know
Would’ve been better off just releasing the ePDL by itself for $1000…
