It’s about 35yrs since I knitted any large garments and I’ve recently been enjoying knitting socks. I also sew and having made several dresses, I thought I’d have a go a knitting a cardigan. I’ve bought the knit pro zing interchangeable set as I like the zing dpns. I hadn’t heard of Chiaogoo needles until I saw your circular needle review, which was very interesting. It’s the first time I’ve used circular needles so I’m looking forward to trying them. My yarn should be arriving today. I’ll let you know how I get on with the zing circulars. If I get hooked on knitting again I’ll try a pair of Chiaogoo to compare them.
Chiaogoo Red Lace fixed circulars are my favorite. I have several in the sizes I use the most (2.25 mm US 1 primarily). I can’t remember the last time I used a needle bigger than 4.00 mm/US 6.
I have both the 4" and 5" interchangeable sets, plus the 5" bamboo interchangeable needles, which I rarely use. I use the 4" tips mainly for hat knitting, with a 20cm cable so I don't need to use magic loop until I get to the crown. I love my Chiagoo needles. I have HiyaHiya and KnitPro too - the tips are fine, but I don't like the cables as much. I did try Addi interchangeable needles a few years ago - liked the cables, hated the tips, or more the way they joined together. They had some sort of twist and lock action and I found it hard to attach the cable in the first place, then they kept springing apart when I was knitting as I was managing to untwist them.
@@AnnikenAllis The twist & lock action is probably the knitting equivalent of Marmite ;) I think the most encouraging thing is that there are now several reliable brands of circular knitting needles. It may take a bit of trial and error, but I think there is something out there for everyone.

the addi I cant do lace with them the fine yarn just get hitch up on the join Addi ok for thick yarn but a big Nono for fine yarn Chiaogoo is fantastic for all yarns ,chaiogoo is far superior.
I bought a silver cable which can turn free 360 degrees in the round. It is from Chiaogoo, where you connect the needle the yarn gets stuck all the time. I am so disappointed about this silver cable. Did you test that cable too?

It's interesting what you said about Addi interchangeable. I've not tried them but have heard knitters say they like the twist & lock action.

Very interesting! I didn't know that. Thank you.
@@AnnikenAllis You're very welcome. The best knitting needles.

Thats interesting. I've never tried the Addi interchangeable needles but a friend loves them. I must get a set to try out.
