@@mst3k54 I would say its more context. People always think they are so good or this and that but how many good people hit women or their wife or steal or whatever. Doing the right thing does not make you a good parent. However, this should probably be changed to something like having parents who provide you with the proper choices or good choices or choices in general, while supporting you and being loving, goes a long way.
Yes. There will always be the small groups that go the opposite but i take it, "good" parenting is exactly what i touch on above (and that is just a few examples).

This is really funny - maybe like 10 years ago, my brother sat next to Frankie on our flight to Chicago (or wherever), 8n coach, and I remember thinking "damn he must really be going through some rough shit to be sitting in coach." But, hey, looks like he was just being a financially smart/frugal person. Good to know.

What I like about Frankie is that he isn't so much driven to be "an actor" - he has other interests and hobbies that could arguably take over any acting gig on tv or film. He's the type of actor that you look at and think that he'd survive outside of the film/tv/entertainment industry. Many kid actors tend to stay acting till they die not really knowing any other pathway to make a living or to channel their creativity. I'm glad Frankie has found success in other avenues.
if you ever make a million bucks you can survive off the interest. most people don't think like this but if you go out partying or vacationing you're going to blow that fund fast, but if you made 3% per a year on it that would be 30k which is enough to live as well as continue to save even more money
I love how he describes his audition as him reading his lines in a way without caring because he's in a hurry which is probably exactly what got him the part.

I’m so happy to see Frankie didn’t have the typical child star story. He is someone who had the ability to guide his own destiny when he became an adult. He made some amazing choices, the man has a good head on his shoulders.

malcolm in the middle is a show that i found my self relating to when i was 12 years old . and when i was 26 years old . different stages of my re understanding of every character and what they are going thru . finding something deeper in every watch. a showcase of true brilliance in sitcom. Frankie is one HELL of an actor
I was working at Home Depot one summer in college and he came in to talk to a specialist in one of our departments. I only spoke him on the way out but you could tell he was just a nice, genuine guy. He owns Outrageous Olive Oils and its insanely good
Absolutely impressed with Frankie, obviously I don't know him personally but watching this, he seems to be a very down-to-earth and normal guy. I have not heard any run-ins with the law or legal trouble.
Great upbringing from great parents and that's a tremendous advantage. You see a lot of kid actors' lives get destroyed because of fame/drugs/money.

@@bruhlips4498 that's the thing, there was no 'memory loss', he explains in a different portion of the interview that journalists totally misrepresented what he'd said. He'd basically said he didn't remember in the same way that anyone at a busy job only remembers bits and pieces, they blew this up into amnesia.

Seems like a cool, humble guy. Im always happy when i see people who were in the spotlight as kids grow up to become humble and seemingly have no issues. Very happy to see he seems to be a cool guy with his head in the right place.
He had a tough time in his early adolescence, it's why he dropped out of the limelight when he did to focus on his health and private life.
Was an excellent decision, it gave him a stable foundation to move into his later life.

My band played a show with his band at a VERY small club in Albany, NY back in 2016 (I think). He was one of the most humble and down to earth people I've ever met. Super cool dude. Great to see he's still doing well.
Child actors and their parents should be required to attend a presentation led by Frankie. He is so balanced and separate from the stereotypical Hollywood tragedy.

I’ve seen all the episodes multiple times and I can say that it’s a show I’ll keep close to me for the rest of my life. Got me thru a lot of rough times.
Frankie Muniz seems like such a polite and chill guy. Godbless him and his family. This is not only an awesome episode, but it’s RARE. Frankie usually doesn’t do podcasts or interviews.

I rewatched the show later in life and was laughing at the episodes . It was the first time I saw a white family with bad ass sons and they were crazy but loved each other . The episode with the clowns and the way Lois was smiling watching her family beat ass cracks me up everytime
I like the scene where they are at a family gathering and some relative made Lois cry. And the boys, as one, start marching to reak havoc.

Malcom in the Middle, I remember being obsessed, and recording every episode on my sisters Olsen Twins VHS tapes which went over well with my parents. Glad to see Frankie had great support around him as he grew into his fame. Level headed dude.

By American standards they were definitely in poverty. But largely because of bad financial decisions. They have a much nicer house and live in a much better neighborhood than most Americans in poverty would live in. Other than the house, they lived a poverty lifestyle, perhaps because they were spending lots of money to pay for Francis's military camp.

Maybe they're not in poverty, but the kids live a poverty lifestyle because the parents are negligent. Hal spends 1000 dollars to rent a truck to run things over, but they won't shell out 200 dollars for an 88 key keyboard, or better yet, find someone giving away an upright piano for free. They had plenty enough room for an upright and it's not hard to find people giving those away for cheap or free.

I've also sold a couple self-storage properties as well, and can see that Frankie made some fantastic investment decisions with his money. He got some great advice back then!

When he talked about wanting to be a garbage man or a train conductor, it reminded me of the last episode of Malcolm in the Middle when his parents tell him that he's going to have to work twice as hard as everyone else and he's still not going to be respected by everyone. 😵
There's also an episode where he struggles to find his career and he has to do a test on profesión, but the test comes up as being able to do anything lol
Malcolm in the Middle was a HILARIOUS Tv show that doesn’t really get the Credit and Respect that it deserves because the humor was really aimed at people with Actual Brains to catch it. Definitely one of my favorite sitcoms of all time.

There was an AMA from an anonymous person claiming to be a cast member who was abused by the cast. It was never confirmed nor debunked. Also, the actor who played Dewey like, mysteriously is hard to track down so ppl think it might have been him.

His Mom sounds awesome. My dad was the opposite end of the spectrum, anything I told him I wanted to be he told me I would fail at and told me to get a manual labor job. I ended up making more money than him and my mother combined but at a soulless corporate job. I wish he gave me support for the creative stuff I wanted to do when I was a kid.
I’ve always like Frankie, but it’s clear the media kind of had a field day with him because he didn’t do much to defend himself. He comes across as incredibly smart and humble in this podcast.
Makes me so happy to see the kid all grown up with his head on right and able to manage the success so well.

Frankie is inspiration to always follow your passion; he did acting including big movies, then decided to do race car driving, then got involved in a band and toured relentlessly.. topped with solid investments and a frugal attitude. It’s great that his mom taught him to be frugal. Other parents would use their kids money to buy a huge house, forget to pay the tax on the house then go bankrupt. Waste the money pointlessly. Frankie bought some cars but most of his money seems to have gone into houses, strategic investments, apartments and business ventures

I am proud to admit that Frankie Muniz was my first celebrity crush in sixth grade..... And my middle school years I was OBSESSED with watching Malcolm In The Middle. I'm thankful that Frankie grew up to be well adjusted and as intelligent as his on screen persona. In elementary school, I remember watching Big Fat Liar, Agent Cody Banks, and My Dog Skip. He holds a lot of precious peices of my childhood and adolescent memories.
He was a creepy looking kid and he's creepier now.
