One of my favorite things about this show is you get to see the guest true emotion and character by the end when they’re more worried about the flames in their mouths rather than giving perfect answers…. It was comforting to see his character remain the same which shows it’s genuine.

"Forgiveness is a human stength... if you can't say you're sorry you will never be in a long term relationship" so true. Bryan knows his acting and his life experiences. Great episode.
This concept took me far too long in life to learn but I am grateful I was able to. Forgiveness lifts such a weight off of our shoulders and makes life a much more pleasant experience.
As someone who's going through a hard time, there were a few segments that hit hard to hear. But hearing them is going to help me improve in life, and I'm very glad that Bryan Cranston of all people is telling it to me. Thank you so much for everything you have ever done to this world, Bryan. You absolutely deserve all of the love from everyone.
It’s impressive how insightful he is with everything that he does and says, i think very few actors really put their all into their work and live around acting. Bryan is a true gem.
I watched Brian Cranston on Malcom in the Middle growing up and then on Breaking Bad in my early 20s.Ive never watched an interview with him before now. I'm surprised how eloquent and wise he is in real life. Very practical and down to earth and even inspiring.
This might sound weird but bryan looks and acts so much like my father who passed away almost 2 years ago and bryan brings me so much comfort i can’t describe it.
You can really just feel his passion and love for acting when he talks about it. The point he made about characters who cry easily vs characters who try to hold it back and it gets through was something I'd never specifically noticed. But, as soon as he said it, I thought back to the most recent times I cried during a film or tv show and they all shared this in the performance. Also just seems like a really pleasant guy.
Another actor (sorry I can't remember who) also said this. That people naturally don't want to cry, they try their hardest not to, that's what distinguishes good acting in those moments.
One of my legit favorite actors ever! Actors like him, Robin & Jim, actors that could seamlessly go from comedy to drama are the most talented in my opinion!
this interview made it make sense. Why in every single thing he is in he is good. He cares so much about what he does and understands so much about the film making process. Truly an amazing creator
The way he talked about Vin got me choked up. Really made the hurt of Vin's passing sting again. Someone I never knew in the flesh, but I can say I share Bryan's memory of Vin.
You obviously haven't been paying attention to the WOKE, irrational, racist drivel he's been spouting lately. This is the type of weak man that brings about BAD TIMES.
Malcolm in the Middle was a big show in our house growing up. Looking back, Bryan Cranston did such an awesome job with Hal. He's definitely an actor that has always put out a great character
He's one of the few people of what I call the "true actors" generations that we are slowly not seeing anymore in the big screens. You can see how much he loves acting, how seriously he takes and how much educated he is about acting. I'm glad that shows like this give him the opportunity to show how smart and down to earth he truly is, instead of watching him make a funny joke or two or play games at Fallon.
"acting is not a fling, it's a relationship" that's so inspiring. And his last line about forgiveness is so true for that as well. If you can't forgive yourself for your past mistakes, you'll never grow.
I never listened to Vin Scully as a child or growing up, but hearing Bryan talk about him really put in perspective why he was loved so much. I put myself in Bryan's shoe as a kid and could only imagine the peace he'd get for those 3 hours. Truly beautiful.
I met Vin Scully once. Part of my job. He was very nice and knew I was a die hard Giants fan. He made a point of telling me he was too. I couldn't believe it but, he told me growing up as a kid in New York the Giants were his team. It was after this 'incident' that I learned a lot about him. Still the only "Dodger' I like.
Game 5 1984. I watch this game at least 2 times a year wishing my dad's cancer had let him live just a few months longer so we could watch our home town Tigers win a series together. I was born just 3 weeks after they last won in 1968. He died 6 July 1984.
There's no such thing as "class". It's an abstraction invented by wealthy "elites" in an attempt to validate and expand their deluded feelings of superiority.
Watching Bryan Cranston is always a joy. He plays such a range of characters, but is always this genuine, uplifting guy that will always make you smile. Stan The Cran
The 18:41 mark where Bryan is talking about his Video Dating job back in the day and how he got the best out of people by getting them to relax and just be who they are from across the table was so very beautiful. You can tell he's a solid dude and why he's such a great actor.
I'll never understand this kind of thinking. You don't know him. He's a great performer and seems like a decent person sure, but you only know who he presents himself to be. You know his public persona. Personally, I separate my admiration for someone's talents from my feelings about them on a personal level. In other words, while he's my favorite actor I have no personal feelings towards him, positive or negative. I can admire his achievements and capacities without forming some sort of bond. Do you really think you know him well enough to "confirm that he's one of most genuine and sweetest guys"?
This was a great episode. The ability of Sean and this show to allow these people the freedom to open up the way they do is refreshing. I love listening to Brian Cranston in this episode. It was mesmerizing.
Towards the end, I've never seen Sean Look so intimidated by someone's minimal reaction to the heat, especially while he struggling himself. He looked into Bryan's eyes and realized he was the danger.

I worked closely with Cranston on the set of Your Honor. He’s as cool and humble and fun as you’d hope he is. And also scarily professional in both his acting and producing. Great guy.
I had the pleasure of being on set with Mr. Cranston for a movie several years back. He was a true professional. Courteous to everyone, clearly brilliant as an actor and willing to let all "characters" in the room try, whether in, or out of character. I met him at the coffee bar on set and it felt like I was standing next to an extra. He has no pretension.

@@rickybaillie4222 I have never seen Bryan Cranston do his work badly, but he is not truly great at becoming someone else. One of my favorite things about this show is you get to see the guest true emotion and character by the end when they’re more worried about the flames in their mouths rather than giving perfect answers…. It was comforting to see his character remain the same which shows it’s genuine.

Bryan talking about his time working at the matchmaking business is one of the most wholesome things I've ever heard, such an amazing person and an equally amazing host
Listening to him talk about the dating service really shows that he cares about EVERYTHING he does. What an inspiration.
Favorite part, genius
Absolutely. Such a role model, I love how wise he is.
Bryan supports CRT and he hates being white.
the fact that you mention malcom in the middle and breaking bad in the same sentence so nonchalantly just goes to show how amazing of an actor he is.
I watched Brian Cranston on Malcom in the Middle growing up and then on Breaking Bad in my early 20s.Ive never watched an interview with him before now. I'm surprised how eloquent and wise he is in real life. Very practical and down to earth and even inspiring.
This might sound weird but bryan looks and acts so much like my father who passed away almost 2 years ago and bryan brings me so much comfort i can’t describe it.
it doesnt sound weird at all, i totally get it
Ok that is so incredibly sweet I’m about to cry for ya 🥹🥹
My dad hasn't passed, but he is 80. I feel the same way about him and Tom Hanks. I know it's going to be hard to watch Tom after he's gone.
@@rebeccamaracle2878 wish yo dad da best🤞
he does give that fatherly figure so much. Even I felt like I was his son watching this
You can really just feel his passion and love for acting when he talks about it. The point he made about characters who cry easily vs characters who try to hold it back and it gets through was something I'd never specifically noticed. But, as soon as he said it, I thought back to the most recent times I cried during a film or tv show and they all shared this in the performance. Also just seems like a really pleasant guy.
"I can..."
Like when all the football players are crying in Brian's Song.....you really feel it because they never cry!

He's such an amazing balance of philosophical and completely down to earth. Freaking brilliant.
Huge respect to Bryan for taking up the hot like a champ. He was so calmed throughout. What a legend!
This episode really just pulled me in. Bryan Cranston's ability to completely immerse you in his monologue is impressive.
When he asked a rhetorical question i actually nodded in acknowledgment
The way he talked about Vin got me choked up. Really made the hurt of Vin's passing sting again. Someone I never knew in the flesh, but I can say I share Bryan's memory of Vin.
Shed a tear as he was telling his baseball memory, then he explained if the actor doesn't cry the audience will. A master in his craft!
Sean struggled more on Da Bomb, while Bryan was totally fine and answering the questions perfectly, absolute LEGEND!!
Cranston was channeling his inner Heisenberg.
he is the danger, and he is the one who knocks 🤣🤣🤣
and he was humble about it too. Even when Sean complimented him.

Malcolm in the Middle was a big show in our house growing up. Looking back, Bryan Cranston did such an awesome job with Hal. He's definitely an actor that has always put out a great character
This feels more like a wholesome father and son moment.

He’ll always be kid Charlemagne
Bryan Cranston is such a well spoken class act. You can tell that acting is truly his passion, he lights up and talks about it so eloquently.
Yup it’s a true art form that he’s carrying the history forward and paving a way for the future
A true thespian

If you can'r find amazing younger actors then you're not looking very hard at all
Him and Jeremy Strong are the couple of actors I've seen with complete and utter dedication to the craft
"acting is not a fling, it's a relationship" that's so inspiring. And his last line about forgiveness is so true for that as well. If you can't forgive yourself for your past mistakes, you'll never grow.

I think this was one of the best episodes of Hot Ones I have ever watched. Brian Cranston is such an amazing talent.

Inspiration for Hot Ones
I had the pleasure of meeting Bryan once and I can confirm that he's one of most genuine and sweetest guys out there. He's also a good hugger.
