@4eiver12amos The fact he won’t take off his costume if he’s so worried about sending the “wrong message” just shows how stubborn and useless he is. Steve is the king of “Do as I say, not as I do”. If it was his allies like Bucky I don’t doubt he’d drop everything.
Castrorena stated, "I mean, call space spade. We saw Cap's shield. You know what, a lot of people tend to forget that Cap of the nineties wasn't the same as our Steve Rogers. Steve Rogers in the 90s had a little bit of a bias against the mutants… But, yeah, what I will say is, the reason why I love the X-Men so much, and why I value them over a lot of the other Marvel teams that we have, because there's a lot of great ones at the end of the day, is they've got the danger room. Man, the X-Men trained for this stuff. They have a danger room, and everybody else just wings that stuff."
I just can’t understand what the hell he’s doing here if he’s supposed to be in a time vortex with the Skull. I doubt that the showrunners knew that all the 90 cartoons were connected and that Cap in Spider-Man was in a time vortex, of course, unless after the Secret Wars in Spider-Man the Stranger (or whatever the higher being was called) did not return him to Earth after Spider’s victory. It's not like this Cap went through this, they just ignored the fact.
At least he won’t urinate on Otters. (Reference on Nuzlocke’s parody on AvX where Cap decided to attack Cyclops on trying to resurrect mutants*. Good news is that Gambit is alive but bad news is he was beaten to pulp by Captain America’s shield.) * okay maybe doing that with space fire bird might be an issue but it’s intention that matters. Also, is there any Marvel equivalent of death watch (like a team made up of individuals from various groups other than uncanny avengers or Beast’s liaison with Avengers).
You're the only one in the whole comment section that gets it. Captain America just recently started getting revenge on all mutant affairs. He has definitely softened up.

No. This didn't happen (yet) in this universe. cap and Rogue know each other because they actually fought against each other. The mutants have a right to be angry after what happened. Rogue has a right to be angry. Cap has always had a "play by the rules" mentality. In D&D terms (that of coruse have become unfashionable) he's Lawful Good, and acts accordingly. the Xmen are NOT lawful good. never have been. and yeah, Cap has gotten burned on more than one occasion becasue he's playing by the rules when everyone else (like Gyrich) is NOT...including turning allies against him because of the old "we need to take you into custody just until we get this worked out" trope which usually goes down like a lead balloon. In a way, cap really is depicted as a moron sometimes. It's one of the sacrifices comics tend to make to maintain a certain status quo...sort of like how Peter parker can never, despite being brilliant enough to rub shoulders with the likes of reed Richards or Tony stark, be SUCCESSFULL for any real length of time, or stay in a solid relationship. Something will ALWAYS happen to make him the poor, put-upon underdog.
He's the living embodiment of the rules that state mutants are supposed to be safe and protected, yet here he is confused as to what the right course of action should be. Rogue should have told him to put on a clown suit and squeeze his nose after she threw his shield.
@Mister_Terrific806 he's not wrong, he can't (as Captain America) attack a military base in another country without causing an international incident.
@@Mister_Terrific806 The US as a nation and its heroes had ZERO authority to even go to Genosha, let alone help or save it. Genosha was an independent polity itself and chose isolationism. If you go isolationist, then whatever invasion happens, is handled by themselves. Genosha was a clown show because it tried to exist independently without anyone backing them. Rogue is only digging that hole deeper. Amazing how geniuses such as yourself can't grasp how international politics work. Not surprised that mutants get BTFO'd all the time.
@@Mister_Terrific806 But he's not confused about what the right course of action is. He's literally doing it, it's why he's at the compound. He can't just go barging into a foreign country guns blazing trying to snatch up somebody. All it'll do is possibly incite a war between the two countries with the mutants at the head of the blame.
Pretty self-righteous for a chick who once put a superheroine in a PERMANENT coma by stealing her powers, whilst working for a terrorist group. Also has it been made clear whether or not the Ms. Marvel of the X-Men cartoon universe was also an Avenger or friends with Steve Rogers like she was in the regular Marvel timeline? If so it would change the dynamic of this scene should Cap ever find out what Rogue did, for which she received no punishment.
I like how Rogue throws Cap's shield away after he refuses to help her find Gyrich. It's not just petty (though it is that, too) it's basically saying "you're not willing to step into the line of fire for what's right like the rest of us? Fine, then you certainly won't be needing this".
Even though what Cap actually said was "I can't go there without the all clear otherwise such international action could cause even more conflict, which would lead to more lives being lost." It's not a lack of being willing to step into the line of fire for what's right, it's taking caution to not cause war
@@jacobcenter7374 Genosia was already an international incident, and the US has proven they're not very willing to help get justice for the mutants. Doing it by the book at this point is just helping the perpetrators hide behind bureaucracy and both Cap and Rogue are aware of it. That's why Rogue is immediately hostile toward Cap again when he chickens out and that's why Cap sounds at least a tad remorseful when he says he has to wait for his bosses' approval. Something will ALWAYS happen to make him the poor, put-upon underdog.

I like how Rogue throws Cap's shield away after he refuses to help her find Gyrich. It's not just petty (though it is that, too) it's basically saying "you're not willing to step into the line of fire for what's right like the rest of us? Fine, then you certainly won't be needing this".
Even though what Cap actually said was "I can't go there without the all clear otherwise such international action could cause even more conflict, which would lead to more lives being lost."
