Having scammers send checks to real law enforcement officials is genious
Especially when they are FBI level law enforcement 😂
@@YearsOVDecay1 if only you knew how bad it really is. The amount of scams that get shut down on a daily basis is insane.
Change that
So why do I get 3 calls every single day.
I had a scammer send a check to my local police station with the name Immah Skammer
I love how offended they get when they think you're trying to do to them what they were originally trying to do to you. How much of a scumbag can you be?
They always have some flimsy justification to fool themselves into thinking they aren't being horrible bastards. "The people I'm scamming have too much money anyway, what they would waste will keep me fed for weeks", or "the only people who fall for this are greedy and trying to swindle me. Just imagine if this was a real offer, I would be fleeced!"
They also often don't have and can't find a real job, doing these scams can actually take a lot of time and work, there aren't all that many people willing to do this crap all day if they have alternatives.
The worst are the ones who run scam offices, where they actually get a whole bunch of people to work for them trying to rip people off and of course take a good chunk of the profit
Gaslighting is a beautiful thing. "How dare you? How could you even think that about me?"
I swear Grabify should sponsor this man.

@m c Yes, but if this agent is specifically tasked with investigating this sort of crime, and the evidence literally falls into his lap like this, he might be able to do something about it.
Update: the guy at the FBI sent Walmart giftcards. Getting his car wrapped on Thursday..
As an actual wrap specialist who has traveled for jobs, I was actually surprised how close the price was to an actual wrap in my area. Including custom design and installation.

I remember several years back dealing with one of these scammers (or similar). My father proceeded to talk to the guy and when my dad cashed the check he just kept the money and spent it all thinking he was scamming the scammer lol. Needless to say my dad owed a large amount of money after that.

You do realize these scams are out of the US government's reach? Most likely because these take place in India.

You can actually tell when the scammer is writing personally and when he's copy&pasting stuff.
Windows Notepad is stupid and will copy line wraps, even if it's an automatic wrap due to limited screen space. If sentences are awkwardly cut (see 1:19), that's why.
Now, that's pretty funny AND useful

There's a 75 year old man with a prepaid phone that lives across the street from me. He eats 60 minutes a week easily talking to telemarketers that kill his phone time. I try to explain over and over what's going on, but sometimes I feel like he just likes to talk to them out of boredom.
I just hope he doesn't get a con call that ends with them getting his bank info.
I work at a financial institution. I cannot tell you how many times my customers come in with checks from these scammers an not even realize it.
You mean the victims
How much does the bank charge for a returned check fee...?
@@brentfarvors192 We’re not a bank. It costs the amount of the check plus $25 in a return fee. So if you bring in one of these checks for $1,000 and it returns, it would be $1,025, which we would never be able to collect on. Terrible for the victims, and the institution. Which is why we’re trained to spot these scams a mile away.
@@KHTimeProtecter why does it take so long for a cheque to clear in the US? Where I live, it takes half a day. If I deposit a cheque before 12pm, my bank will phone me if there's a problem with the cheque before 5pm. Yes, they make a phone call for every cheque, because usually, most cheques clear with no problem. I don't get charged. Issuer gets dinged $25 if it bounce for insufficient funds. Its a smaller country, but cheque images are sent electronically, so distance does not cause delays.
@@danielch6662 If your country is small enough that it only has a few banks, then that’s probably why the checks clear so quickly. We have a large number of different banks and credit unions, but LOTS of customers and money coming and going between these institutions. And that’s not taking account of some banks coming from different states with different banking jurisdictions. We also have to keep in mind how much the check actually is, i.e. if the check is $200 then it should clear quickly if there aren’t any problems. A check over $1,000 may take longer (On the rare occasion, I handle checks well into the mid-to-high five digit range, and even six-digit). Because of this, coupled with not-so-fast programs and internet, it takes a while to process and clear the checks.
There’s a phase about banks being “too big to fail”, but that also means that they’re slow as molasses.
That. Was. AWESOME!!!!! I love playing with scammers, but this is on another level. You sir are the master and I bow to your superior skills.

Totally, you never hear it even from a customer service representative or in casual conversation. I don't understand why scammers bother sometimes because the wording they use is always a little off so that someone can pick up on it quickly.
@@fatimabouzzazi6338 they use that word that way in India?
@@idontevenknow9758 scammers usually do intentionally leave a red flag such as unusual language like “kindly “ thus people with decent intelligence with pick that up and identify they’re scammers and the scammer move on to the next target, because there is no point wasting time on a smart person, smart people don’t fall to those scam, it’s like a filtration system that filter out smart people and leave people are less intelligent that are easier to scam
Click a link on this video after what I saw? I'm not clicking on anything you send me! 😂😂😂
Great video! Hope the 3-letter agency got the state-side helper.
Sending it to an FBI agent was the funniest thing ive ever seen lmao
I bet $100 that Pleasent Green is going to put the Ben Dover joke on his gravestone
Here lies Ben Dover, may he rest in Mike Rotch
@@thelurkeroftubes lol right
@@thelurkeroftubes I think he would rather rest in Mike Hunt.
Gotta love the "trust this process" message.
I’m glad I saw this video. I had seen these texts a few times before and considered it but laziness was on my side and I never bothered clicking the links.
I went to a hair loss specialist and asked them for something to keep my hair in. They gave me a shoebox.
A jam jar would be better. Then you can look at it on a shelf when you are completely bald.
Brilliant
Exactly! Hair loss is genetic & thus cannot be cured with chemicals or good wishes.
@@TASMAN-1 Hairloss is caused by DHT (di hydrogen testosterone) which can be lowered with the use of Finasteride (source: I’m doing it currently)
I really pissed these guys off. I sent like 50 random names to them all to the same address and for the phone number I gave them the one for John so John was probably wondering why he was talking to him self.
tbh sounds like you waisted your on time because i doubt they are that dumb.
@@greenlight4223 no they really are.
I love his background music 🎶
I love his videos

Its weird to hear that a scam originates from the city that I live not too far away from. Great vid!
Great video!
I almost fell for this one except I noticed the weird differences in addresses and followed a similar process if figuring it out. The bank teller also offered the advice that it was probably a scam when I asked.
Getting is location was the best of all............... Seriously i really do enjoy your video...... All the way from Nigeria though but don't mind me.... i love your channel. i really do... please keep it up... smiles
Now we know you are a scammer 🙄..😭😭😭😂😂😂
Maybe it the prince we keep hearing about.
I got my $2,800 check in the mail yesterday lol. With basically the same instructions!!! Was supposed to keep $500 for myself and the rest was to pay for the “Horizon Organics” wrap on my car. I can honestly see how some people would actually fall for it, especially with the way things are in the world rn!!!
