That's what I was thinking. How do we know the first guy wasn't all the guys and just acting like multiple people. Sending a random picture of a house and person. He knows the names her knows what there pictures are so he knows to act defensive...... The whole chat with the "bigger scammer" seemed too open, almost setting up being sent the house photo by saying you're not in Nigeria. I think this was a special scam just for Ben

My mum literally got scammed on this yesterday. I never understood how people could actually fall for it until seeing it first hand. Keep doing what you're doing
Thing is Americans are prosperous because American society is law abiding in general. Many Americans would not survive in a 3rd world country where they have to look out for themselves. The internet brings in a bit of the third world into America. Hope Americans understand they are prosperous because of the society they were born into and not because they are inherently smarter than 3rd world people. And be thankful. Imagine the folks who can get scammed by a 3rd worlder without a proper education , how badly off such Americans would be if they had the bad luck to be born in the third world and had to actually fend for themselves. And be grateful to the elite in the US who have built a society ruled by law instead of just grabbing all the money like the elites in the 3rd world do.
I hope that Micheal stays safe because for all we know, his "friends" might've seen this video and found out about Micheal giving the info.
As heartwarming as all of this is, I'm worried for Michael's safety here. Because they're certain to go back and analyze the situation, and might realize that Michael was absent at the moment the whole thing blew open, but no one else was.

@E.T. Phone Home Penny Jarvis said " Someone might have snitched on me" and "you don't even know my house address" at the perfect times, like he knew Ben had a picture of him. Also, his "mom" he tributed to wasn't really his mom. Mr Ben contacted a woman that called her "Mom" assuming that she was micheal's sister. She said she didn't have a sister named Micheal, showing that the tribute he made was fake, and his "Mother" is alive. Micheal also had an app called DualSpace, which allows you to clone apps, so he was on the "micheal" and "tom" account on 1 device showing that "Micheal" and "Tom" were the same person.

Certain things do not add up to that what-if scenario. that Is showing photos - While anyone could get faces from let's say thispersondoesntexist. It would take great work to put the face into a candid photo that is suggested in the blurry images shown.
And most scammers would not stop with $100 - they'd run the con till you'd never send them a cent again $100 would be the appetizer. Scammers of this nature are never happy with $100.

The Scammer had gathered info on Ben and predicted everyrhing Ben would do in multiple situations.
Then worked out a scenario that would convince Ben he was legitimate and give a decent possibility of receiving a small amount of money.
The scammer is very successful and didn't need the money, but wanted to prove to the rest of the scammers he was numero Uno 🤑

@@futsuu and that $ is really earned, in the end, from his viewers. so in a sense, we (or at least people who do business via his sponers/ads) were the real scam victims lol. he needs to ensure he's really sticking it to scammers and not vice versa.

I can tell that Michael is a good person who was in a bad situation. Good for you for your honesty and I hope you succeed at becoming a doctor. You could have said that your daughter was kidnapped and told him "If you are looking for ransom I can tell you I don't have money, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you" and I bet that he would have just said "Are you prepared for Walmart" 🤣

Assuming that the "boss man" wasn't actually a fall back scam and that "boss" was just some random dude on Facebook where as the original scammer was the only scammer and he pretended to help rat on someone where in reality he just took photos from facebook like creating the fake accounts, and then took a picture of a random house a few blocks away from his day job. There is a real possibility that this "rat" actually just played the scambater doing a scam that he knew he could get at least some money out of because some money is better then no money. Things played out way too... shall we say smoothly to not be suspicious of a veteran scammer who has learned how to scam the scambaiters.

Michael is obviously all three guys. The only thing you got wrong is : Ben is not stupid, he also knows that he's talking to the same person. I think at this point he just doesn't care, he's not into busting scammers but more into helping people. And he's okay about helping someone out as far as he gets enough content to make a youtube video. That's not only clever but also kind hearted. This is what makes this channel special.

Thing is scammers tend to give up easily. Why waste your effort on someone who fights you at every step and probably is on to you, when you can get someone who does what you need with few, if any, questions? Plus, if they were willing to send you some more once, you might be able to double dip.

You know I watched this channel because I enjoy busting scammers and scam rings, and even when others do it. But it's also a good reminder of how desperate some are behind the scenes. Granted most are just dbags, but sometimes there's that chance it's some desperate schmuck gooned in to it out of desperation. That's our chance at scambaiters to make a difference, one of the ultimate goals of scambaiting. Life is so much better when your not stealing from others!

Being from Nigeria, I feel very bad about how the actions of some of these folks portray us negatively in the eye of the world. Funny thing is they don't make up to 1% of the population, yet we all are seen as scammers. It's just sad.

Possibly, but if they take this opportunity, they only have one shot of this. It's not like them to waste several hours and weeks even not knowing if they could get away with this or not. However, if they knew they could get away with $100, there's a big possibility, regardless of one or more persons involved.

You're right about those passwords....definitely get a secure password manager and never use the same password for other things online.
