Have you seen someone impersonating me on TH-cam?? I confronted him and what happened next will shock you! Always be careful with who you're talking to online.
He actually did a good job narrating the ad. Certainly a person that could find something productive to do.
Could
I totally believe that there is little legit work in nigeria, even if he would be good enough for a lot of things
It is a shame, but what are the options? If working as a scammer or eating food from someones trash would be my options then i would probably scam too
I do feel bad for everyone that gets scammed, especially old people that just want to do their best because they believe it, but i am in a position where i can find work anywhere without having to resort to things like that, so it is easy to judge them as bad and only bad
@@indigo7898 you have no idea, computer courses are so insanely accessable in Nigeria, and there's so many tech companies that will hire. I'm not saying they'll end up working for apple, but maybe Microsoft. But it's the same as everywhere else make absolutely no mistake, if you WANT to work in Nigeria, You absolutely can.
This is another person who DOESNT want to work. There's nothing wrong with that. Just don't make excuses for scamming people who do. Scam the government and claim some benefits or get lost.
@@indigo7898 you are in a position where Yiu can't find work and the only seemingly available options are to scam people? Is that what you just said. Because get a goddamn grip.
I agree, he was very good !!
@@kavalogue are from Nigeria? if not then stop talking about matters you know nothing about.
That’s an ending I never expected. Glad to see he had some humanity in him and hope he’s able to find his way and make money while continuing to help others!
It’s not about not having humanity, it’s about being desperate and feeling like you don’t have any choices in life. Whilst being told that people in the west are rich and have extra money they will just give away.
Unless you have been in his situation, it’s best to reserve judgment on someone’s character.
It was a good ending after all though. I do agree with you on that he took the money till eight orphanage not only did he give the money to the orphanage but he stayed there for a whole day. That was just amazing about story turn good
i dont think its hard to fake that
I would not be surprised tho if he faked that too. Like he took pictures of other people doing the actual good deeds & used that if his ass were caught.
If this guy watched enough of Ben’s videos, he’d know that this mother thing might not work and if that failed, he knew he could just use the whole *I’m GoNnA hElP mY cOmMuNiTy By ClEaNiNg TrAsH* & it’s actually they can verify did happen, but that he had nothing with it, to trick Ben into thinking he did do something. 🤷♂️
My mom died this morning 😭😭😭😢😭😭😢😢😢😭😭😢😢😢😭😢😢😢😭😢😢😢😢
I'm a Nigerian. Tears my heart everytime one of my countrymen does this. But I can assure you, we're not all bad. It's just a few persons giving a country of 200million people a very bad name.
All Nigerians are not! My boss is Nigerian, here in the US, at a massive corporation. She runs the show and is one of the smartest people I know. Every country has bad people and good people. God bless you and your journey. I hope it's a good one!
Honestly it's thanks to pleasant green that I've been able to see that Nigerians are one of the kindest and smartest people on earth. It's a shame that scammers taint that picture.
I knew not all Nigerians were scammers, just like not all Americans are bad. We both have many good people in our countries.
Seems like more than a few.
It's too bad you have the "Nigerian prince" thing too.
He actually made a good advert and has a strong voice. Sure he was nervous but I hope this man goes into genuine work. Its sad that circumstances have led him to do this.

I've tried to "change" a scammer once, as I often intentionally play along. He keept to his story and started insulting me. Some of them are truly lost.
It's very nice to see that you probably managed to save one of them.
Millions of them are lost. 😞
When you come from a world where *_no one_* can be trusted, trust can take so much more than a few phone calls or video chats. Im sure many of them are truly evil; however I don't believe that all of the ones who refuse to change are bad. Just victims of severe circumstances 🤷🏼♀️
And honestly I think this scammer hasn’t changed either. He probably knew Ben was going to find out about the mom thing so he probably used the whole helping the needy as another lie to make Ben think that he (scammer) is doing a good deed when in reality, its BS. He probably used someone else’s pictures while someone else was doing a good deed and pawn the pictures off as his own.
If he lied to Ben the first time, nothing is stopping him from lying the 2nd or the 3rd time because it’s easier to lie.
@@123RADIOactive you dont know that for sure
@@123RADIOactive Obviously thats a possibility, but why have such a cynical viewpoint? Kinda depressing that way 💁🏼♀If homie is THAT good at lying, he deserves the $ honestly.
That was extremely wholesome. Almost feels like a scam about a scam. My minds blow. That’s simply amazing.
I was thinking the same thing. It was too wholesome. But i think we all got scammed. Not many people will work and give it all away when they are struggling themselves. Especially in a 3rd world country. Doesn't make sense.

Rule number one of scamming. Don't impersonate a scam baiter! 🤦🏽♀️
That has to be the stupidest person/group to scam, a guy who literally goes in depth about your scam,
You were very patient with him. I thank you for trying to make him see some other way to live his life.
I’m glad this young man helped some less fortunate children. Hopefully he has made a change for the better. I love videos like this where someone redeems themselves and tries to lead a better life.
lol i have a feeling he needs money for drugs
I have a feeling the guy was still likely lying and that he probably took pictures and videos of other people doing the work and he just pretended that was him.
Seriously, does Ben have actual PROOF that the pictures was HIS and that HE literally did do the work instead and what I just said wasn’t true? Because it seems like almost every scammer should know of his tactics, by lying to him and if he caught on to the first lie, they whine and cry about it and then pretend to do some nice community service to pull heart strings, then runs away with the cash and Ben wouldn’’t have known otherwise. 🤷🏻♂️ It literally feels like scammers would pull this stunt at this point

I will strive.
Ikr he makes us all better people!
I remember watching a video in which Pierogi helped a call center scammer named Karan once.
I mean engaging with these people is usually a waste of time. They've decided that since their life is difficult it's ok to steal from others.. you don't really undo those kinds of things over a few text messages.
@@lvlinty You are mostly right. But the very attempt says more about the person who tries than about the scammers themselves.
For some scammers, there may be an accumulative effect. For others, it could just be "the straw that broke the camel's back". A moment of clarity after enduring a session with Kitboga or someone like that.
@@pheresy1367 it's kinda like this. You're wading in a puddle of muck and for a quick second, you find yourself in clear crystal waters, but then you're back again in an endless puddle of muck. I'm not trying to portray these scammers as victims because I've seen them and I know some of them, but I'm also aware of their lot in life.
Anyway, they really messed up the public perception of Nigeria and this has made it even more difficult for us to travel, sell things, and even ironically, get jobs.
It is a powerful gift you have to be able to lovingly guide someone to self-correction. Ben, this story was truly inspiring. I am glad I took the time to watch this.
Unexpected ending to that on, Ben. To give is better than to receive - to experience that is a blessing in itself. Lovely to see what is essentially a happy ending.

Yes these people are found in many channels, Matts Off-Road Recovery for example, got their logos stolen and scammer use it... Most important. any link to a telegram should be questioned. *also read the description box of the channel* , if they really use telegram, that might be mentioned in the various links they provide.

@@dertythegrower as much as I despise scammers, Im starting ti understand why they do it.

A completely fake and unrelated channel that only shares the profile picture then comments under asking people to click links and join for prizes, the channel is unaffiliated, it has little to no subs, it has no content, and every single time there'd at least a handful of people who then reply to these scams literally commenting "scam"
That's at least 5 things that everyone who falls for these things seemingly chooses to ignore. I don't understand. I genuinely do not understand. It's so insanely obvious. It couldn't be more suspicious. Which leads me to believe one thing, this world is full of people who are so mentally inept they'll just give you their money if you ask. It makes no sense. None of it does.

Great job incorporated the scammer into the paid promotion within. That helps people watch the sponsor while keeping the video story going.
I find it amusing that he decided to scam a TH-cam channel impersonating someone fighting scammers!!! 😂🤣
He didnt recognize him from the picture so he probably didnt know, it also seems that he was "working" solo, given how he was totally on his own
Could be that he had multiple bots on different channels and just didnt look up any of them, the messages were pretty straightforward too with no context to the channel whatsover, just "got a scrernshot? How you wanna pay?"
99% of the people who do this dont even watch the videos. they just have a bot network that impersonates accounts with high subscriber bases and does everything automatically. so they only thing theyre actually doing is waiting on the other end of the phone for someone to fall for the scam and send them money. i personally find it really funny because for big big youtubers like markiplier, you can actually have up to a dozen different bot accounts active all trying to scam people first.

These scammers have very a bizarre morality that can change at the drop of a dime. Went from trying to scam someone, to doing a job, to scamming again, to going out of his way to physically help a community with the money he earned from trying to scam. wtf
Hello from Scotland 🏴 Love your channel so much, wish I could do more on the fight against these scammers 😓
Good work on the ad read, man. I have heard of hospitals in third-world countries that would hold patients who can't pay their bills. The hospitals will not openly talk about it and will even lie about it. I heard about one woman who was locked in her room for six months. While this was not the case with this guy it does happen.
It is pretty common in some countries indeed. They get their mattress taken away and rely on their family to provide food... and pay the bills at some point. I am working on some disease in DRC and "patient escaped" is an actual status in our system.
However, the whole story with his mom is utter bullshit. The surgery would cost much more than a few hours of oxygen which would never cost $715 in Nigeria. Just no. I am also extremely suspicious of his story in the orphanage, even with the videos.
@@merlin2600 So you're charging them?
@@gidd No, I'm trying to track them so that we can find more sick people and cure them so that we can end the disease. It's a pretty rare but deadly disease and I can assure you that there are lots of places in DRC that really really hard to reach. Sometimes, we have people with a positive screening test in their settlement, they are sent to the nearest hospitals, several days of walk or motorbike away. When they get there, they get a confirmation test and then have the appropriate treatment. We have no control over those hospitals, so sometimes they are charged and people will escape. It's bad because if they didn't get treatment, it's certain death and they could contaminate other people. So a hospital escape is a problem on many levels.
