Have you found out how to play movies? I can watch videos and movies clips off you tube but cannot play movies it gives me some booshit about not being formatted. I don't get very much free time to just dig through it. And the other thing I'm not digging at the moment is mine displays the same screen as the head unit on the rear screen. I have a 20" and it displays on like 80% of the screen with all the controls and settings displayed as well there has to be a way to change these issues. Thanks mane🤙

I believe that came default on it. Like a stick image, I do remember seeing the Cruz image and redirecting it back to the Escalade. But at end of day,it was preloaded on the radio out of the box

I am a bit confused about something. I got the unit and when I look at the main harness there is only wiring for the front speakers. yet I have a Bose 8 speaker system in my 2007 escalade . how is this supposed to power all 9 speakers with only front speakers on the harness? Now I've seen plenty of people in stall these units online. some people say only the front audio works. Could it be because a harness is missing? I say this because based upon wiring schematics the rear speakers are on a separate harness feed. I have not installed mine yet but this harness looks to be inadequate unless there is like some Bose crossover trick I'm unaware of. please advise
My original purchase was with Phoenix some 4 years ago. At the time the delay on shipping and constant reasons why it was late was enough to push me over the edge. I cancelled the order on the 29th day and ordered it directly from Ali. It arrived with zero issues, immediate tracking and constant (good or bad, depending on how you look at it ) communication when it arrived, follow up after you installed,etc. Phoenix may have improved things over the years but be aware...they all come from China and Phoenix rebrands them with a slight OS tweak.

Rear speakers not working! Has anyone run into this? I connected all the harnesses that came with it. I have both front left and right speakers along with the center dash speaker, but nothing is coming from the rear door speakers or rear pillar speakers. I think there is a harness missing as they only provided 3 block harnesses when there are 4 factory blocks to connect to. I have a 2014 Escalade ESV Luxury. I will be using a LCI2 to connect the front speakers so that I can sub outputs. Any help here would be awesome! Also do the 4 RCA output connectors output any audio? I was hoping to run those to the door speakers
Hey if you have audio at all you definitely have a issue somewhere along the path after your factory amp. These radios (going the direct plug in route & as I did initially in this very video with LCi2) will only pump 2 channel audio to factory amp and then the factory amp will push audio to the remaining speaker. Im unsure if my D- pillars worked in this case but I think they did. When I bypassed the factory amp,going full 4 RCA for all audio (severing the audio connection with the factory amp) the D- pillars dont work as obviously they're not hooked into anything anymore. Hope that helps.
Where did you purchase the radio? Cause the first time I've seen this particular radio or head unit it was being sold out of China, and that was a NO go for me....

You can buy these units on Amazon, for about 700 bucks I think. The install takes like 10 minutes. I’d recommend doing it yourself, it’s not that hard and can save you some money. There are videos on how to install on TH-cam.
No that will not be needed,but a module is needed to retain use of factory rear entertainment. I believe the p# is gmrv2 . If aftermarket entertainment is installed in the rear like my 22" monitor,this module is not needed since the monitor can plug directly into the radio.
I just purchased a tesla unit after watching your video. Unit came in today only problem I have is my rear speakers are not playing. Using factory base system. Also my original TV monitors only one is coming on and it only seems to mirror screen and not display full screen
@@2muchspl I rebooted the system and they are on now. but if you go into the fader into the eq settings you select front speakers mute it mutes the rear door speakers and the once at the rear pillars. also is there away to get my tv monitor for the 3rd row seat to come on? Finding out it depends on what app you are viewing your movies on if they will be displayed in full screen.
@@joshuahall3276 The way Escalades work, the fading and volume amping (up & down) is all done via the amp not the radio with a datawire and incorporates only 2 channel input. Any radio that is added, loses fade ability in these trucks if Bose amplifier is left in the loop because the OEM radio is needed to control the fader. The only way around it is to A) wire each door speaker to new radio* or B)use the 4 rca outs and wire and external 4 channel amp. *Not easily possible with our android radio, since manufacturer knew the Escalade could only use 2 inputs & wanted to keep things plug and play. So there is only 4 wires for high level speaker output coming out of the harness vs 8 that you would expect. I chose B route because I wanted full aftermarket amplification and gained fader back (tho I never use it).
Hey... I'm back! I'm still having the parasitic draw from the radio, so I just disconnect my battery when I know it's going to be sitting for more than 2 days. But, i don't know if you've looked lately, they are now making the 13.6 inch radios, which take the place of the temperature unit at the bottom. I think I'm gonna order that one, and replace my current tablet radio!
You might have something else staying on, search for parasitic draw test and grab your multimeter. My rear camera module decided it no longer liked the heated seat circuit on passenger front seat. Thansk for the info on the 13.6!!!!

Lmfao I had this same issue, the time is located in 2 parts..one is in the quick menu, other is buried under settings/more settings/date and time/ i have automatic date/time zone and 24 hr format disabled. But did select the proper Central Daylight Time for my area. Hope this helps
I had my radio for about 6 months it just started turning off And if I disconnect the power and reconnected it comes on but only for a short time as soon as I start to play the radio it turns off do you have any advice for me with this situation thanks in advance
No not at all, its still installed. The only issue I have is I will lose the 'menu' button in upper right hand corner. A factory reset is the only way to fix that. My issue only happens 1x every 5 months or so. Confirm your radio suspicions by unplugging it for a day. What fuses are blowing?

Phoenix model incorrectly listed that it did & coupled with the absurd wait and no communication from them is why I recommend people avoid them. This was my 1st purchase on Alibaba & seller I used communication was top notch from day 1. Its possible Phoenix has gotten their act together but I'll pass. Use your American Express if you do decide to go with Phoenix...Amex gets right to the point with complaints.
There’s a way to grab a clean, preamp signal from the wires that goes into the rear of the factory head unit. I’d have to take mine out to give the colors. Is the Tesla screen able to dim w/ the stick by the headlight knob or it’s in the control settings on the radio?

Hi Chris!! I don't have a video of the install but I do have a pic of all the harnesses and what they go to. I will dig for that photo and link it in this comment for you. Off memory I believe there are 3 to 4 connections on the Tesla radio. Im more concerned why the radio is staying on. Did your stock radio have any issues with Retained Power? Retain power is the mode when you cut car off in parking lot but radio stays on until door is opened.

DVD option sucks, I bought it too. This is made to be all USB thumb drive. Its actually so much easier. Even the cheap old school 2.0 USB work. I have a (2) 512gb thumb drives in mine now. More space than I'll ever need
@@albertsirrell8998 yep, fully functional and untouched. I have a 2009, so I have the audible beeps, reverse cam , mirror tilt (if enabled) and the 'distance light' on the rear D pilar near hatch. Some later models do not have the distance light FYI
No, the only module that may be needed is a GMRVD2 (or 1 depending on year). The GMRVD2 is for integration of the Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) monitors.
Hows the radio to date, and is the radio a major step up from stock, sound quality, color, etc and how would you power the spectrum analyzer to the oem radio.
At 16 months in this radio is still going strong. I have encountered 2 hard freezes and 3x where the top touch panel had become unresponsive. The hard freeze required fuse under hood to pulled. The touch panel issue fixes itself after a restart from over night or a fuse pull.

Im back on stock as you can see in the video. Phoenix put a link on their FB I found from a lil sleuthing I'll link at bottom but try at your own risk (it'll either work or wont). If I have time I will reinstall Car Launcher this weekend to see how did I see those images of all the cars. FADER With full factory amp setup: Due to the fact, the only way to input sound to the factory amp is 2ch, fader will never work. Fader with aftermarket amp (s): will work like normal, though there is no subwoofer output. I use my xover to provide subout to my subamp Rear speakers,Im assuming you mean d-pillar,near hatch. I can't recall if they worked or not with full factory setup,but believe they did. They are unhooked in my aftermarket amp setup.
I was trying to install the 22 inch screen like yours I had factory screen im running in to trouble with wier harnes type to make this work how did you run this to the front deck
For factory Nav, that still installed. You will need a GMRVD harness. This will allow you to get video out (yellow jack) from the factory nav For aftermarket radio, skip the GMRVD as most aftermarket radios come with yellow video output jack already. Use a simple RCA to connect it. If aftermarket radio has HDMI out, use HMDI cable instead. Im not sure if stock electrical that went to original flipdown can handle load of this larger screen, I did zero amperage test (but can if you want me too).
@@2muchspl i basicly orderd the same exact deck and moniter you have but I'm having issues with gmrvd hooking up to the harned behind deck but it seamed to connect at the tv did you ever find a pin out of the wierharnes where the tv plugs in

My GMRVD harness ,which I had on my factory navigation with aftermarket rear screen is now sitting on a shelf in my garage with the OEM factory navigation. The 22" is hooked directly to video out 1 coming from my Android radio via yellow RCA

1) Yes, however there is only front/rear RCA output. Im using a CXR7 3 way crossover which gives a separated sub output controllable by a bass knob and has a built-in line driver. 2)th-cam.com/video/I58YnhIJYas/w-d-xo.html remember only certain models have video out, message seller in the link and specifically tell them that. 3) yes, i have USB DVD player. It leaves Alot to be desired and and very cumbersome to use. I ended up using Handbrake program on my PC to dump movies to my 256gb thumbdrive. The radio really is built around be disc-less. There are 2 USB ports and any combination of DVD/thumbdrive or thumbdrive/thumbdrive works. These were great questions!!!!

Yes, its included with the radio. I can add a link from Imgur on what it looks like later (or search my name on there). Its like a 10 pin wire harness with 2 video outs and a video/audio in.
This change is for full aftermarket external amp(s) and rewire for all speakers in the truck. Your next step will be either: The 2 high (grey,grey blk,white, white/blk) level speaker outputs will have to cut from feeding the bose amp. Assuming you dont want to deal with unhooking the center,sub,D-pillars at the speaker themselves Or Unhooking the output of the factory Bose amp (or maybe just the power harness) thats located under the arm rest. I did a combination of the 2, I cut the output high level from feeding the Bose, rewired the left output of the Bose to the center channel (this is where door/reverse chimes,blinker click comes from. Some people can live without this:I personally cant). So basically the Bose amp is only sending chimes to now my center channel & the factory sub/D pillars do nothing because there is no audio feeding the factory amp. The bass comes from my subs in the rear,check pinned post at top.
@@2muchspl I realized in the Old Escalade profile the volume was being controled by the steering wheel, but it wasnt showing up on the Head Unit. On the head unit it just stays the same but you can hear the volume increasing. Not sure why they dont talk to each other. When I used the cruise profile, it showed on the screen, but the audio was distorded because the music was being told to turn up by the wheel, but down by the Head Unit. So I just went back to the Escalade Old profile and I just deal with the volume not showing correctly. Maybe I can fix it in the future.

I cant properly test this but you will need i believe a GMRVD (2007-11) or GMRVD2 (2012+) harness. This harness does a few things: 1) allows OEM Nav to send vid to aftermarket flipdown 2)allows aftermarket radio to send video to to OEM flipdown. I originally had this harness installed before I went Android with Option 1. It plugs in on a grey (IIRC) plug that was plugged into OEM Nav and turns it into a RCA. The RCA then connects to video out of Android.
@@FrankieBlaQ Its honestly not,ebay & Amazon. On the back of the OEM radio its 4 separate harnesses that go into it that give it power,sounds,rear cam,etc. 1 of those 4 harnesses is video out/in. This GMVRD harness plugs into that and gives you a traditional yellow/red/white jack. The GMVRD harness only fits 1 of the 4 OEM harnesses behind the radio that you will unhook to do a radio swap. The Android radio will be plugged into 2 of the 3 remaining harnesses (power and rear cam). The Android radio harness plugs directly into the Cadillac harness unlike if you were to swap in a Alpine,JVC, Kenwood,etc. Google that harness and watch this th-cam.com/video/uMjwhOeoD4U/w-d-xo.html to visualize what I typed.

Nice set up. You mentioned that you have subs n a aftermarket amp in the back, and that you ran a L.O.C down the driver side of the console and connected it to your factory sub. Did you have any problem with the automatic noise cancelation system? I ran a L.O.C up under the cup holder and tied into the 4 speaker wires but as soon as i close my door I get a hum out of my aftermarket sub in the back that goes up and down with the idle of the engine. If I open the door the hum will go away. I appreciate it if you could tell me how you connected your L.O.C. thank you.
When I had the loc (LC2i) in my system, with factory headunit and with Android radio in video I experienced zero interference. I also tapped into those 4 wires under cupholder to feed the LOC a signal. It functioned perfectly fine and the only reason it was removed was because A) I went full aftermarket for highs, which eliminated the stock amp that was high level for the factor sub that we tapped into and B)The Bose system rolls off at around 47hz I believe, so if your using those wires as a source the bass never really smacked down low on certain tracks (play Master P Golds In The Mouth or Nicole Wray Make It Hot). Care to list which LOC you bought, FYI didn't use any of them weird auto turn on features from AudioControl. In both stock and Android I had a true 12v switched wire turning the LOC and amp on.
@@2muchspl thanks for the quick response. The L.O.C I used is is a Audiopipe APNR-RM It also has a 12v constant and a remote wire. My system will hit hard just when I turn down the volume or mute the music it will have that loud hum that goes up n down with the idle of the engine. Yet if I open any door it will go away. I wired it before the wires go into the amp to the solid green (+) n light blue with black stripe (-) n blue with white stripe (+)n light green with black stripe (-) if i turn the outputs up torwards back to highs (almost all the way) it will go away a lil but i can only turn the bass remote 3 notches n the hum will start again.
@@fernandoramos7679 Its possible the LOC you're using is bad or has a ground loop buzz. The wires under the cupholder in this thread is what I used ( bit.ly/3eV0t1L ). These wires are coming from the factory amp to the factory sub in high level. Think you tapped the correct wires???

I think I need to go your route n tap da wires from amp to sub. By the way i have the premium bose amp system. I guess there is two different types Bose uses in Cadillacs that i know of. I have 2010 cts also all factory audio system n it sounds way better than my factory system in my Escalade. Was your factory Bose system the premium amp or the more powerful amp (Luxury i think Bose calls it)?
I see no reason why it wont, only hurdle is getting video to it and thats handled with a GMRVD1 or 2 depending on your year. TBH, its much easier to ditch small factory flip down and grab 15" with HDMI inputs for pennies on Amazon/eBay. Just isn't worth the hassle
There is a small overlap on the passenger side. U can shift the radio to where its on driver side or passenger side. I chose passenger side so that its hidden from passengers. You honestly have to LOOK for it to see it.

When I got to the Cruz L and hit ok it made my screen turn black like if my radio was off and I can't see anything on the screen

I say this because based upon wiring schematics the rear speakers are on a separate harness feed. I have not installed mine yet but this harness looks to be inadequate unless there is like some Bose crossover trick I'm unaware of. please advise

My original purchase was with Phoenix some 4 years ago. At the time the delay on shipping and constant reasons why it was late was enough to push me over the edge. I cancelled the order on the 29th day and ordered it directly from Ali. It arrived with zero issues, immediate tracking and constant (good or bad, depending on how you look at it ) communication when it arrived, follow up after you installed,etc. Phoenix may have improved things over the years but be aware...they all come from China and Phoenix rebrands them with a slight OS tweak.

Rear speakers not working! Has anyone run into this? I connected all the harnesses that came with it. I have both front left and right speakers along with the center dash speaker, but nothing is coming from the rear door speakers or rear pillar speakers. I think there is a harness missing as they only provided 3 block harnesses when there are 4 factory blocks to connect to. I have a 2014 Escalade ESV Luxury. I will be using a LCI2 to connect the front speakers so that I can sub outputs. Any help here would be awesome!
Also do the 4 RCA output connectors output any audio? I was hoping to run those to the door speakers
Hey if you have audio at all you definitely have a issue somewhere along the path after your factory amp. These radios (going the direct plug in route & as I did initially in this very video with LCi2) will only pump 2 channel audio to factory amp and then the factory amp will push audio to the remaining speaker. Im unsure if my D- pillars worked in this case but I think they did. When I bypassed the factory amp,going full 4 RCA for all audio (severing the audio connection with the factory amp) the D- pillars dont work as obviously they're not hooked into anything anymore. Hope that helps.

You can buy these units on Amazon, for about 700 bucks I think. The install takes like 10 minutes. I’d recommend doing it yourself, it’s not that hard and can save you some money. There are videos on how to install on TH-cam.

Yes, you can (usually) make phone a hotspot and radio will find it. Some carriers have plans where they bundle in 10GB of hotspot per month.

No that will not be needed,but a module is needed to retain use of factory rear entertainment. I believe the p# is gmrv2 . If aftermarket entertainment is installed in the rear like my 22" monitor,this module is not needed since the monitor can plug directly into the radio.

@@2muchspl I rebooted the system and they are on now. but if you go into the fader into the eq settings you select front speakers mute it mutes the rear door speakers and the once at the rear pillars. also is there away to get my tv monitor for the 3rd row seat to come on? Finding out it depends on what app you are viewing your movies on if they will be displayed in full screen.
@@joshuahall3276 The way Escalades work, the fading and volume amping (up & down) is all done via the amp not the radio with a datawire and incorporates only 2 channel input. Any radio that is added, loses fade ability in these trucks if Bose amplifier is left in the loop because the OEM radio is needed to control the fader. The only way around it is to A) wire each door speaker to new radio* or B)use the 4 rca outs and wire and external 4 channel amp.
*Not easily possible with our android radio, since manufacturer knew the Escalade could only use 2 inputs & wanted to keep things plug and play. So there is only 4 wires for high level speaker output coming out of the harness vs 8 that you would expect. I chose B route because I wanted full aftermarket amplification and gained fader back (tho I never use it).

Hey... I'm back! I'm still having the parasitic draw from the radio, so I just disconnect my battery when I know it's going to be sitting for more than 2 days. But, i don't know if you've looked lately, they are now making the 13.6 inch radios, which take the place of the temperature unit at the bottom. I think I'm gonna order that one, and replace my current tablet radio!
You might have something else staying on, search for parasitic draw test and grab your multimeter. My rear camera module decided it no longer liked the heated seat circuit on passenger front seat. Thansk for the info on the 13.6!!!!

Lmfao I had this same issue, the time is located in 2 parts..one is in the quick menu, other is buried under settings/more settings/date and time/ i have automatic date/time zone and 24 hr format disabled. But did select the proper Central Daylight Time for my area. Hope this helps

No not at all, its still installed. The only issue I have is I will lose the 'menu' button in upper right hand corner. A factory reset is the only way to fix that. My issue only happens 1x every 5 months or so.

Link in description, at the time of this video there was no model other than this one that provided video out. Phoenix model incorrectly listed that it did & coupled with the absurd wait and no communication from them is why I recommend people avoid them. This was my 1st purchase on Alibaba & seller I used communication was top notch from day 1. Its possible Phoenix has gotten their act together but I'll pass. Use your American Express if you do decide to go with Phoenix...Amex gets right to the point with complaints.

Mine doesnt as well, I opted to make the driverside flush and let passenger side stay raised. That way only driver sees the slight imperfection.
There’s a way to grab a clean, preamp signal from the wires that goes into the rear of the factory head unit. I’d have to take mine out to give the colors. Is the Tesla screen able to dim w/ the stick by the headlight knob or it’s in the control settings on the radio?

Hi Chris!! I don't have a video of the install but I do have a pic of all the harnesses and what they go to. I will dig for that photo and link it in this comment for you. Off memory I believe there are 3 to 4 connections on the Tesla radio. Im more concerned why the radio is staying on. Did your stock radio have any issues with Retained Power? Retain power is the mode when you cut car off in parking lot but radio stays on until door is opened.

DVD option sucks, I bought it too. This is made to be all USB thumb drive. Its actually so much easier. Even the cheap old school 2.0 USB work. I have a (2) 512gb thumb drives in mine now. More space than I'll ever need

@@albertsirrell8998 yep, fully functional and untouched. I have a 2009, so I have the audible beeps, reverse cam , mirror tilt (if enabled) and the 'distance light' on the rear D pilar near hatch. Some later models do not have the distance light FYI

No, the only module that may be needed is a GMRVD2 (or 1 depending on year). The GMRVD2 is for integration of the Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) monitors.

Hows the radio to date, and is the radio a major step up from stock, sound quality, color, etc and how would you power the spectrum analyzer to the oem radio.
At 16 months in this radio is still going strong. I have encountered 2 hard freezes and 3x where the top touch panel had become unresponsive. The hard freeze required fuse under hood to pulled. The touch panel issue fixes itself after a restart from over night or a fuse pull.
Does the parking lines work with the hack up cam?
Yep, fix solid grid and the steering wheel enabled moving style (when steering turns,the lines on camera turn to where its aimed in real time)

Easiest way is thru the settings and in wifi. 1st go online and save a 768x1024 picture of an EXT to your 10.4., I like to put stuff in download folder. Then go to boot logo under settings and select that image from Download folder.

Im back on stock as you can see in the video. Phoenix put a link on their FB I found from a lil sleuthing I'll link at bottom but try at your own risk (it'll either work or wont). If I have time I will reinstall Car Launcher this weekend to see how did I see those images of all the cars. Just a heads-up, Car Launcher gets access to all sorts of things that for other cars, so be careful prodding around.

FADER With full factory amp setup: Due to the fact, the only way to input sound to the factory amp is 2ch, fader will never work.
Fader with aftermarket amp (s): will work like normal, though there is no subwoofer output. I use my xover to provide subout to my subamp
Rear speakers,Im assuming you mean d-pillar,near hatch. I can't recall if they worked or not with full factory setup,but believe they did. They are unhooked in my aftermarket amp setup.
I was trying to install the 22 inch screen like yours I had factory screen im running in to trouble with wier harnes type to make this work how did you run this to the front deck
For factory Nav, that still installed. You will need a GMRVD harness. This will allow you to get video out (yellow jack) from the factory nav
For aftermarket radio, skip the GMRVD as most aftermarket radios come with yellow video output jack already. Use a simple RCA to connect it. If aftermarket radio has HDMI out, use HMDI cable instead.
Im not sure if stock electrical that went to original flipdown can handle load of this larger screen, I did zero amperage test (but can if you want me too).

@@codypowell2976 if full aftermarket, GMRVD is not needed. My GMRVD harness ,which I had on my factory navigation with aftermarket rear screen is now sitting on a shelf in my garage with the OEM factory navigation.

1) Yes, however there is only front/rear RCA output. Im using a CXR7 3 way crossover which gives a separated sub output controllable by a bass knob and has a built-in line driver.

Alot to be desired and and very cumbersome to use. I ended up using Handbrake program on my PC to dump movies to my 256gb thumbdrive. The radio really is built around be disc-less. There are 2 USB ports and any combination of DVD/thumbdrive or thumbdrive/thumbdrive works.

I changed the profile to the Cruise for button controls, and it does work, but its seems to mess the audio up. Have you had this issue?
This change is for full aftermarket external amp(s) and rewire for all speakers in the truck.
Your next step will be either:
The 2 high (grey,grey blk,white, white/blk) level speaker outputs will have to cut from feeding the bose amp. Assuming you dont want to deal with unhooking the center,sub,D-pillars at the speaker themselves
Or
Unhooking the output of the factory Bose amp (or maybe just the power harness) thats located under the arm rest.
I did a combination of the 2, I cut the output high level from feeding the Bose, rewired the left output of the Bose to the center channel (this is where door/reverse chimes,blinker click comes from. Some people can live without this:I personally cant). So basically the Bose amp is only sending chimes to now my center channel & the factory sub/D pillars do nothing because there is no audio feeding the factory amp. The bass comes from my subs in the rear,check pinned post at top.

@@2muchspl I realized in the Old Escalade profile the volume was being controled by the steering wheel, but it wasnt showing up on the Head Unit. On the head unit it just stays the same but you can hear the volume increasing. Not sure why they dont talk to each other. When I used the cruise profile, it showed on the screen, but the audio was distorded because the music was being told to turn up by the wheel, but down by the Head Unit. So I just went back to the Escalade Old profile and I just deal with the volume not showing correctly. Maybe I can fix it in the future.

I cant properly test this but you will need i believe a GMRVD (2007-11) or GMRVD2 (2012+) harness. This harness does a few things: 1) allows OEM Nav to send vid to aftermarket flipdown 2)allows aftermarket radio to send video to to OEM flipdown. I originally had this harness installed before I went Android with Option 1. It plugs in on a grey (IIRC) plug that was plugged into OEM Nav and turns it into a RCA. The RCA then connects to video out of Android.

@@FrankieBlaQ Its honestly not,ebay & Amazon. On the back of the OEM radio its 4 separate harnesses that go into it that give it power,sounds,rear cam,etc. 1 of those 4 harnesses is video out/in. This GMVRD harness plugs into that and gives you a traditional yellow/red/white jack. The GMVRD harness only fits 1 of the 4 OEM harnesses behind the radio that you will unhook to do a radio swap. The Android radio will be plugged into 2 of the 3 remaining harnesses (power and rear cam). The Android radio harness plugs directly into the Cadillac harness unlike if you were to swap in a Alpine,JVC, Kenwood,etc. Google that harness and watch this th-cam.com/video/uMjwhOeoD4U/w-d-xo.html to visualize what I typed.

Nice set up. You mentioned that you have subs n a aftermarket amp in the back, and that you ran a L.O.C down the driver side of the console and connected it to your factory sub. Did you have any problem with the automatic noise cancelation system? I ran a L.O.C up under the cup holder and tied into the 4 speaker wires but as soon as i close my door I get a hum out of my aftermarket sub in the back that goes up and down with the idle of the engine. If I open the door the hum will go away. I appreciate it if you could tell me how you connected your L.O.C. thank you.
When I had the loc (LC2i) in my system, with factory headunit and with Android radio in video I experienced zero interference. I also tapped into those 4 wires under cupholder to feed the LOC a signal. It functioned perfectly fine and the only reason it was removed was because A) I went full aftermarket for highs, which eliminated the stock amp that was high level for the factor sub that we tapped into and B)The Bose system rolls off at around 47hz I believe, so if your using those wires as a source the bass never really smacked down low on certain tracks (play Master P Golds In The Mouth or Nicole Wray Make It Hot). Care to list which LOC you bought, FYI didn't use any of them weird auto turn on features from AudioControl. In both stock and Android I had a true 12v switched wire turning the LOC and amp on.
@@2muchspl thanks for the quick response. The L.O.C I used is is a Audiopipe APNR-RM It also has a 12v constant and a remote wire. My system will hit hard just when I turn down the volume or mute the music it will have that loud hum that goes up n down with the idle of the engine. Yet if I open any door it will go away. I wired it before the wires go into the amp to the solid green (+) n light blue with black stripe (-) n blue with white stripe (+)n light green with black stripe (-) if i turn the outputs up torwards back to highs (almost all the way) it will go away a lil but i can only turn the bass remote 3 notches n the hum will start again.
@@fernandoramos7679 Its possible the LOC you're using is bad or has a ground loop buzz. The wires under the cupholder in this thread is what I used ( bit.ly/3eV0t1L ). These wires are coming from the factory amp to the factory sub in high level. Think you tapped the correct wires???

I see no reason why it wont, only hurdle is getting video to it and thats handled with a GMRVD1 or 2 depending on your year. TBH, its much easier to ditch small factory flip down and grab 15" with HDMI inputs for pennies on Amazon/eBay. Just isn't worth the hassle
Did you have a problem with the unit fitting in the head unit space?
There is a small overlap on the passenger side. U can shift the radio to where its on driver side or passenger side. I chose passenger side so that its hidden from passengers. You honestly have to LOOK for it to see it.
