    I always dig the clean badgeless look. Whenever I take off emblems or lettering I use a heat gun though. Softening up the adhesive really helps to have more of it come off on the initial removal.

      This doesn't work for all cars. When you remove the emblem your left with indentations of the badge in the body. You would have to bondo fill it in otherwise it looks dumb. You would then have to paint it. It's alot of work for a stupid little emblem. Be proud of what you drive or buy something better. Lol

      @@mattferrigno9750 Wtf no? Also most german cars can be option with no badge and it usually never a matter of cost. On all cars ESPECIALLY with highest option a always de-badge. Unfortunately so many people are jealous. It also looks way cleaner, those who knows will know i guess.
      On shitboxes i keep the badge. I'm proud to have the lowest option :D

    • @sabersz
      @sabersz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mattferrigno9750 that's on the manufacturer for recessing the lettering into the body panel, which is an utter pain in the ass and completely unnecessary.
      For example, the rear badging for my Fiesta is just stuck on, it can be taken off with a heat gun.
      The front badge however is held onto the grille. You CAN remove the Ford badge, but then you're left with the indentation where its meant to be. Solution? Debadged grilles exist, plus they're metal and not plastic.

    Beautiful vehicle. FYI, Goof Off is fine on automotive paint. Using a strong adhesive remover is actually easier and faster because you're not working so hard to remove the adhesive, so you're leaving behind fewer scratches and micromarring. FWIW, I use a bit of heat (although a bright sunny day is usually sufficient) and a plastic putty knife, along with the adhesive remover.

    Just take the rear reflectors and the side markers off and spray paint them white to match 🤣😂 that’s what I did with my civic. It was a 9th Gen civic si coupe so it had 2 giant reflectors like 6 inches under the tail lights, since I was going with a black and green color scheme like monster, I took those reflectors off and spray painted them like green, also I tinted the tail lights with the Vivvid Vinyl Hexagon holographic and the shit looked amazing. I was gonna tint my head lights but I decided against it and eventually took my headlights off and opened them to delete the orange plastic inside the headlight. Shit looked absolutely amazing. I love vinyl wrapping and doing cool custom things like that. If there was more of a business need for it, I would go after doing the custom little stuff, but there’s no way a business can survive on the custom SMALL things, so I always look for the little things to do all the time, I even go do it for my friends and they pay me to get the little things off, take them home and paint them or vinyl wrap them, then I go back when the parts are ready and install them back into the car.
    We all know doing the little pieces is annoying and a lot of people hate it, but I enjoy it. So if anyone wants, y’all can send me the little things or if you live in Florida, you can pay me and I’ll come do the little things for you lol. That goes for anyone 😂🤣

    I use a hair dryer on emblems and text on the car. I used it on my Porsche Turbo emblem and it worked great. It softens the glue so you can just peel it off. Hit it with Goo Gone and your done.

    Cadillac offers a package called Oynx Package, which does more black trims and also removes the color off the emblem

    I promise you the easiest way to get that adhesive off that is used on the letters, is to use rubbing alcohol.

    Why not just black out the badge also? Also what trim did you get, thinking of getting one?

      What badge? We went with the sport trim. Had to get something other than the base to add super cruise

    I do take issue with covering the marker lights with tint. Those are safety items and could get you pulled over by the po po.

    Looks nice, but I would have seen if I could get a small piece of white vinyl for the amber Reflectors (you didnt mention if you did look or not), if not then did the black, at least in this case.
