I know that people are more then their looks, most of my life I ignored looks completely, but as I learned more about the world, design, beauty, etc, how something looks is an art form and can be appreciated no matter what it is So yeah I think its good to study what people think looks good, but also create your own definition of beauty If someone has a diffrent preference to you, its not an attack on you, they just have different tastes. For all those with a body type that is asymmetrical (perhaps due to trauma, injuries or natural causes as not everyone is exactly symmetrical), here's a tip: If your shoulders are not in line (meaning one is sloping a bit), you can fill the inner side of your sports jacket or suit jacket of the sloping shoulder with a filling for lady's brassieres (ladies can add a foam to adjust their brassiere to any small differences). Just a thin foam can make a difference to your shoulder and the sloping shoulder will look exactly as the strong shoulder.You'll look symmetrical (again). For inverted triangle bodytype you must avoid half sleeves t shirts. It gives you the T shape to your upper body ,so it increases the volume of upper side which you really dont want. You can simply buy full sleeve t shirts. But they should not be baggy. Thats my tip✌🏻
As someone with the inverted triangle body type due to working out, I can say me and suits have a love hate relationship lol. I remember going to prom and having to get tailored and all that and looking in the mirror and realizing I look stupid 💀. What I would recommend is going with some slacks and polos, knitted polos/shirts and even Henleys, if you’re looking to start dressing better and to dress to go out and all that. Suits are too padded for us dudes who workout because it does make us look odd!

Because you really go in on this and have a crazy amazing in-depth understanding of the whole concept. I've never been a fan of dressing up until I came across your content. And you've done changed 15 years worth of my perspective of style in just a few videos. I can't tell you how much of a motivation this is. Truly, thank you.
For rectangle the style might not be for everyone but a waist coat with a blazer tie and white shirt looks good if you change the waistcoat colour but keep trousers and Shirt the same you will b looking fabulous!
When I'm choosing clothing I always look for a...medium fit, not too tight, not too loose, this i find gives me a proportionate look. be it- jackets, coats trousers, sweaters or T Shirts
So some takeaways I've noticed from this video and other videos that can work for any gender or body type is a matter of "balancing" different parts/areas of the body by wearing clothes that either add or take away "weight" or attention from those areas. Same thing with colors and patterns. Dark and cool colors tend to havw a slimming effect because they "receed" and "shrink" visually whereas bright and warm colors tend to "spring forth" and "expand". These effects can vary when it comes to contrast and other color theory related stuff but I digress. TLDR: You can use color, pattern, fabric type, and mass to achieve different "illusions" or styles. It's mostly about finding ways to make the eye move or look around the outfit in different ways but at the end of the day, one if the biggest factors that matters is truly how you FEEL in the outfit.
I just stumbled on this channel and of course I subbed. Being a 45 year old grandpa, I’m an oval. I don’t like wearing ties and suits. I’m a band t shirt and jeans or shorts guy. But now that I’m older I’d like to try and look better. The problem is I’m 45! Lol. I’m only 5ft 7in and 215 lbs. I was up to 250lbs a couple years ago. I’ve plateaued on my weight and haven’t lost or gained anything for half a year. I wish I could get a one on one with this dude. He’s damn cool.

Tight enough but not too tight that their fat looks bulging and their clothes look like they're about to rip. I'm a girl on the medium-chubby side. I do that myself for even covering up both my belly and breasts. I look wayy fatter when I am wearing the larger clothes. But trust me, I look much closer to normal when I wear the tight but not too tight clothes.
I have broad shoulders and small waist(also i workout a lot), but im short, especially on the lower side, my legs are short. I look so ugly in a suit. I have friends who are my height, who are shorter in the upper body but have longer lower limbs, and they look so good in a suit. Also ive noticed that narrow shoulders always looks good in a suit.
I would say that I definitely used to be more on the lanky square side, but since I've been working out for almost 2 years now, and I have especially put a lot of effort in in 2016. Now I've moved more towards the trapezoid. Very happy about it :)
Watched a couple of times and what I got for the trapezoid body type was basically buy it off the rack and get it tailored. Maybe I overthought but I was hoping for a little more.

Omg ill never wear any other type of belt than a micro adjustable one. Its 10x more comfortable, works way better. Every time you put it on you cinch it into place...perfect.
Hundreds of thousands of times every year people are assaulted, the first rule is "DON'T DIE". Having said that I wear a "gun-belt": heavy duty, supports my IWB holster correctly.... I never play dress-up/costume-party with my gun belt and maybe drop my gun AND most importantly I always carry my gun. You show you are responsible, caring person willing and ABLE to protect those around you. I wear sleeveless tee shirts as drawing my gun is best without silly sleeves BINDING me at the worst possible moment as I draw and aim. I wear un-tucked shirts to allow better concealment and access to my gun although I do not have really long shirts down past my butt. since my relatives insist on removing shoes on entry as in Asia, I wear Velcro-closure shoes. Your ideas on caring for and dry cleaning clothes are great. My vision is okay without my glasses, however if not one should wear contacts or a nerd-strap; remember the first rule of life: "Don't Die".. Shoes are important BUT ALWAYS chose comfortable shoes you can maneuver in, no one looks good if their feet hurt. Watch: mine is a Casio Pathfinder with a compass-not stylish BUT I always have it.

This is such an important topic. I see too many men who look terrible becasue of the pants they've chosen or maybe the shirt their wearing. A simple good decision on the clothes you buy can make a huge difference in you and also your confidence.

Tight enough but not too tight that their fat looks bulging and their clothes look like they're about to rip. I'm a girl on the medium-chubby side. I do that myself for even covering up both my belly and breasts. I look wayy fatter when I am wearing the larger clothes. But trust me, I look much closer to normal when I wear the tight but not too tight clothes.

I have broad shoulders and small waist(also i workout a lot), but im short, especially on the lower side, my legs are short. I look so ugly in a suit. I have friends who are my height, who are shorter in the upper body but have longer lower limbs, and they look so good in a suit. Also ive noticed that narrow shoulders always looks good in a suit.

I would say that I definitely used to be more on the lanky square side, but since I've been working out for almost 2 years now, and I have especially put a lot of effort in in 2016. Now I've moved more towards the trapezoid. Very happy about it :)

Jesper, I used to be a perfect circle couple of years ago, but due to some stretching exercise I'm more oval shaped these days.
This video helped me loads. I look great on the beach in my monochrome suit and suede shoes.
Watched a couple of times and what I got for the trapezoid body type was basically buy it off the rack and get it tailored. Maybe I overthought but I was hoping for a little more.

It actually makes me struggle to find clothes that fit me, where I end up looking like a rectangle where I usually find a shirt that fits my shoulders and doesn't even reach my hips.

Omg ill never wear any other type of belt than a micro adjustable one. Its 10x more comfortable, works way better. Every time you put it on you cinch it into place...perfect.

Hundreds of thousands of times every year people are assaulted, the first rule is "DON'T DIE". Having said that I wear a "gun-belt": heavy duty, supports my IWB holster correctly.... I never play dress-up/costume-party with my gun belt and maybe drop my gun AND most importantly I always carry my gun. You show you are responsible, caring person willing and ABLE to protect those around you. I wear sleeveless tee shirts as drawing my gun is best without silly sleeves BINDING me at the worst possible moment as I draw and aim. I wear un-tucked shirts to allow better concealment and access to my gun although I do not have really long shirts down past my butt. since my relatives insist on removing shoes on entry as in Asia, I wear Velcro-closure shoes. Your ideas on caring for and dry cleaning clothes are great. My vision is okay without my glasses, however if not one should wear contacts or a nerd-strap; remember the first rule of life: "Don't Die".. Shoes are important BUT ALWAYS chose comfortable shoes you can maneuver in, no one looks good if their feet hurt. Watch: mine is a Casio Pathfinder with a compass-not stylish BUT I always have it.
