Florida drains very quickly, and the strong sun and heat do the rest. I had water come up to a few feet from my door. After the rain stopped and sun came out, the water was completely gone (except for potholes in the road) in an hour; some areas were completely dry.

God sent this rain to water my vegetable garden, and I'm grateful. My plants are growing like crazy. Grow a garden, harvest your own rain water, and get out of the system as much as you can. I live in north Sarasota, and we have not had any flooding. I live in an urban area and try to provide for me and my husband as much as I can by growing our own food and prepping for hurricane season. I have lived here for over 30 years, and I don't rely on the government to rescure me from the storms of life.

God sent this rain to water my vegetable garden, and I'm grateful. My plants are growing like crazy. Grow a garden, harvest your own rain water, and get out of the system as much as you can. I live in north Sarasota, and we have not had any flooding. I live in an urban area and try to provide for me and my husband as much as I can by growing our own food and prepping for hurricane season. I have lived here for over 30 years, and I don't rely on the government to rescure me from the storms of life.
Everyone in the state with insurance is now paying for this.
