10:15 wow! I’ve never seen Alienware in a video (let alone in the wild)! That seems like a great price too. 15:26 cute!! 20:15 those Pom Pom flowers are amazing! 21:30 cutest things in the video! What neat spaces with some rarely seen stuff. Thank you for sharing!!
Allenware! I knew it had a name but was so far back in my experience I couldn't recall. I really should've bought it. These were such fun malls and shops with so much to see that was unusual!
@@TheAntiqueNomadI’d like to own a small, orange piece someday. Can you get it on your way back? I think there’s definitely $ in it for you. Hope Spokane went great! See you soon!! 😍
Seems that Nebraska is a great place to find vintage /antiques in the wild . The gentleman with the pop up store , must spend hours looking for things . He’s got great taste .
My husband and I travel from Denver for the Junk Jaunt. We love going. We've met some of the friendliest people, and found great things to bring home. Try to make it next year. You won't be disappointed.
Such fun, shopping with you. So many beautiful things. I loved the bikes at the end, the one on the far left is the same as my bike in my early teens but it was purple. So cool, a lot of gorgeous lamps and vases.
My Dad read me the Thornton Burgess books. His grandmother read them to him. We got them from the library , his were gone. I have a collection now I picked up as an adult at various rummage sales, etc. His favorite story growing up was Johnny Chuck's Great Fight where he turns the tables on his bully, Reddy Fox.
George, First of all, I love your informative videos and array of antique items you choose to discuss. Thank you for sharing your detailed and vast knowledge. I always learn something new from your videos. I hope you purchased the $25 Hull planter. The pattern is called Crabapple and the price guide Hull pottery books I've seen, does not show a value for the crabapple pattern. The vases are very hard to find in that pattern, never seen a hanging planter in the Crabapple design. If I didn't live in South GA and have work tomorrow, I'd be in the car heading to Nebraska to grab that planter. I hope you bought it!
George, I always enjoy watching & listening to you do walk thru's, an shopping. Because you not only name things, but you give details, history, an fun facts along with everything your looking at ! Your one of the people I tell others about, a Must Watch on my Best of the Best people to see ( an Listen too ! ) !! :~)
What a wonderful name advertising "Junk Jaunt" lol I love it. That blue set of china was beautiful and I love all the Wedge Wood too. Have a great day and safe travels
Good evening, George. There was a clear pitcher, just off the screen, close to the Lennox vase that caught my eye...me and my beverage sets 😂 Loved the mineral case! For me, I prefer them in their natural state. The mantlepiece ewer really caught my attention. That was a pretty one. The Merrick's display case was fantastic! I really like anything to do with antique sewing items. I'd like to have that "Quick Meal Change" tray, with the chicks on it. It's small enough I could find a place to put it 😁 Loved the Mission wall clock! I had a floor Mission clock, but had to sell it when I moved here. The local clock repair shop has one he would sell, if I could only find a place to hang it. That stained glass arch was spectacular! There was a banquet lamp against the wall there that caught my eye, too. There was an assassin's dagger there I liked. Lalique glass is spectacular. Those pieces were beautiful the way the light played in them. Aaarg! That barrister's bookcase! Geez, there was so much in all of those places that caught my eye! It would've taken me all day to go through all of those shops. Thanks for taking us along!
I'm not surprised you saw a lot you liked, this town really has good antiques and vintage! I prefer the minerals in their natural state (although I like cracked geodes so you can see). The Merrick's case was very special, I'm not a sewing person at all and yet I find things related to sewing rather intriguing (perhaps because I can't do it). The floor Mission clocks are a favorite of mine, they gave them out in Seattle back in the 1910s to whoever sold the most papers on their route each year. The great stuff in that one shop...Lalique, Wedgwood, the stained glass arch...I wish I'd had more room and more time!
A friend and I went to the Junk Jaunt in Nebraska 2 years ago. We stayed in Grand Island two nights and went to all the antique stores. It's a pretty cool town.
The painting of the mountains is indeed the German alps. It is by Herrmann Schmitzbonn (1903 - 1960). He did paint the Bavarian alps around Garmisch-Partenkirchen so it might be the Zugspitze.
Great video. The crystal mushrooms are from temu and are very cheap. Most of the crystals in that case looked they where from temu. There ok but not great ones.
Hi! I just watched this video. Sad you were here at Junk Jaunt & I didn't meet you. I live by Junk Jaunt. If you ever come back, reach out & I will show you the best places to get amazing deals a long the Jaunt. I stopped at the church and looked at the same silverware set. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
You would be surprised, but yes, things do sell. They had enough interesting stuff that's hard to find in that antique mall that they seemed to be busy
You know, with that floor lamp, it might’ve just been the bulb that wasn’t working. Some thrifters carry bulbs that they know are working with them so they can test out lamps.
I find leaving your trash behind is extremely Rude. I feel very strongly about things like that ( especially Gum ), you might get tired of it, but I don't want it on my shoes or anywhere else either. I find it funny ( yet frustrating ) when people I know badmouth about litterbugs, but yet I find them doing the same. I used to be quiet about it back in the 70s an just silently pick it up, then I started getting mad about it. Now I guess I'm just getting old & mouthy. Oop's there I go again ! :~)
I hope the Owner of Church Windows considers Donating them Back to Church. You could get a tax deduction, and Add to the History of Church. Please, consider making donation.
Presuming they have money and interest in restoring the place, yes. Lots of buildings end up on the historic register with no one to restore or repair, though
If you look at the bottom of ceramic dishware Figurines etc and the bottom has no wear or is clean and white it is not an antique it is a knock off re production.
Thank you, George. It was a treat to browse the pop- up, high end shop. I know the owner has a wealth of knowledge.
Thank you George I enjoy your videos a lot, and I love learning from you😊
So glad you enjoy them!
OMG, that Yellow Hall Pitcher looks great!🤩
Sounds like you stumbled upon lots of fun hunting places. Looking forward to seeing the journey.
Absolutely love your narration and sharing knowledge, Wally
Thank you! I like doing it

I grew up with the railroad calendars on the wall. My dad was on the mailing list.(LOL)
Cool!

I disagree that the cloisonné covered jar is Japanese , it screams China!
Hum, how do u know? I could never tell the difference .
I generally have seen colored interiors in Japanese pieces, is it the field that makes you think Chinese?
The right thing to do would be to give the windows back.
Yes it would. He could even get a tax deduction, I believe.
