    just got this from Amazon. The set is well made, the keyboard is really nice. It's actually quite heavy, but feels like it's built to last. I'm getting used to the mouse and so far it works good..very ergonomic, it had very good reviews so I ended up buying it.

    I think this will be a good update from my 1989 IBM model M keyboard (with a modern usb adapter of course) I have been using since 1992.😂 Maybe it won’t sound like an entire noisy old office complex at my house when I start burning the keys up. After 30 years, some keys are not responding very well anymore.
    Thanks for the great review.

    I have been a Mac user since 1998 Grape iMac DV. Just bought the M4 Pro Mac mini, which is going to replace my 2017 27" 5K iMac 4.2Ghz Intel Core i7-7700K. I am going to change out the Keyboard and Mouse to Logitech MX Keys S for Mac and MX Master 3S for Mac. Excited to feel the difference! I also have an M1 MacBook Air.

    Why is there still no option to have the mouse switch with the keyboard when the device change button is pressed on the keyboard? Flipping the mouse over each time is unnecessarily cumbersome.

    • @adamtalkstech
      @adamtalkstech  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This would be genius and probably could be done through the Options + App!!!

      I think if you are using logitech flow, u can move in between without changing it on the mouse

    • @smplfy
      @smplfy 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@rickyrich1089 True, but that change is new to the software since my initial comment 10 months ago and that functionality is software-locked. The mouse and keyboard should be paired to each other and be able to switch devices on button press whether the software is installed or not. It's gotten a little better, but Flow is still fickle and continues to forget and/or can't find your other device(s) on the network. It's still not a clean experience.

    Not true that you can’t customize the buttons on the iPad. You can by going into Settings - accessibility-assistive touch (on) - devices and then choosing the MX Master 3 S mouse and there you can customize all the buttons

    I thnk you have just highlighted a problem that isn't articulated anywhere else - When you want to change Computers (which I do a LOT - Desktop, Work, MacBook), you have to press two buttons (keyboard and then mouse) whereas I currently have a KVM switch which is one button. Has anyone found a fix to that? Really annoying to have to flip over the mouse, press the button and do the keyboard every time, when I was hoping that just the keyboard button would switch both peripherals.

    I wanted to like this keyboard a lot. Unfortunately, I experienced annoying lags. Every 10 minutes or so it got stuck and then repeated the last pressed key mullllltiiiiipleeee tiiiimeees. It got especially annoying when the repeated key turned out to be backspace because it deleted lots of text. I tried everything imaginable - Bolt and Bluetooth connection, disabling my router's 2.4GHz, disabling all Bluetooth devices nearby. Did not help. Even my old Logitech MK260 wireless did not have such issues. Really sad, considering the price of MX Keys.

    I have Mac Mini M4 along with a work PC - anyone have an update if this Logictec MX Keys S Combo can toggle between the two without having to press buttons on the keyboard and the mouse? Any preference as to which device should get the USB receiver - MacMini M4 or the PC? UPDATE - I see a recent question addressing the need to still press buttons on keyboard & mouse .

    I can't seem to check for firmware upgrades on both the MX Keys S and the MX Master 3S. Is it working for you?
    It claims no supported device or supported receiver is found. Both are connected by Bolt dongle on one computer and via bluetooth to another. None of them are able to perform a firmware upgrade check in the Logi Options+ app. When I go to the supported devices list, both don't seem to be in the list, which is odd...

    Question - I often have to work from home so want a setup where I can switch between work laptop and home Desktop
    With the Easy Switch keys this should be fine. The question is do I have to switch both the Keyboard and mouse, or can you pair both together, so you only have to switch the keyboard and the mouse switches automatically?
    Hope that makes sense.

    • @adamtalkstech

    This was an excellent review! Did you try the MX Keys for Mac? Which one do you prefer? I just bought the MX Keys for Mac and using it for a day now between MacBook Pro and Dell Precision. So far so good, but switching the mouse is a pain. I just ordered the MX Master 3S mouse to use between both devices. I also heard, haven’t verified yet that when you are using both MX Keys with MX Master 3S mouse, you can switch between devices seamlessly without toggling a mouse switch or pressing the button on the keyboard. Are you experiencing the same?

    • @adamtalkstech
      @adamtalkstech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to switch both the mouse and keyboard separately :(. I never got the keys for Mac but my favorite one of these keyboards has been the Mx keys mini.

    • @treid1369
      @treid1369 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adamtalkstech I appreciate the response. I ordered the MX Keys S. I noticed that it has a different usb receiver, logibolt and so does the MX Master 3S mouse. The MX Keys for Mac comes with the Logitech unifying usb receiver. Unfortunately you cannot connect the mouse via the unifying usb receiver and I do not like to entertain the idea of using two different usb receivers that both can accommodate multiple devices, but in my case I would require both. That really is what made me push the buy button for the MX Keys S, so both my mouse and keyboard can be connected to my Dell Precision on a single usb receiver. Unfortunately I could not get the Bluetooth on the Dell to find the MX Keys for Mac. Who knows what will happen with the new MX Master 3S mouse regarding the Bluetooth connection. Two years ago I tried connecting an Anker mouse via Bluetooth and it was problematic until it stopped working within a month time period. I had to revert to an older usb receiver model that I have been using for years.

    Still recommend this combo set?
    All these keyboards and mice are really a personal choice what each other likes and dont.. but.. its hard to choose in this keyboard and mice jungle.
    I have been looking at the logitech ergo series as well.. but.. i figure this combo might be good enough for me.. it seems that many on youtube likes it. Havent seen anyone that doesnt like it.
    Kinda pricey but i think you get quite much for the money.
    Im on like 13+ year keyboard and mice combo now.. a microsoft wireless keyboard 5000 or something it is :) really filthy hah. time to replace.

      Absolutely love it. Personally I switched down to the Mx keys mini though because I don’t need number pad.
      The ergo stuff is cool. I’m testing it and have some reviews of those coming soon.
      Mx master 3s is still my absolute favorite to use.

      @@adamtalkstech I bought this combo.. it feels a little different from what im used to. I guess its a learning curve and adaptation. I do some misstyping now and then. Instead of left shift i press caps lock :)
      The hand rest feels also a little strange :) not used to use one.
      The mouse a little bit strange too. It feel strange to rest the whole hand and fingers on the buttons. Feels strange to scroll with index finger or long finger.. i feel that i miss hand rest support. Im lifting my hand up a little bit and that is what im used to also.. i do like the buttons. and the scrolling feels great.
      Thumb buttons for back and forward feels little strange too. I dont know what the intention is.. if its to lift thumb slightly backwards or press further back on the thumb.. hard to describe i hope you understand what i mean?
      I have successfully connected the mouse on setting 2 to my macbook pro.. via bluetooth. But how can i connect the keyboard also?
      On setting 1 is my pc with the bolt usb connected
      My colleague bought the MX Mechanical Tactile he liked that more. I dont know about that for me.. i think this MX Keys S feels better.
