I’ve been vacationing on LBI for 75 years. Those days LBI was mainly known for serious fishing. A lot of people had not even heard of Long Beach Island! It’s a great place for families! 🥰
I come here every summer for a week or two weeks. I love it here and it’s my true home. I love looking at the stars at night while listening to the ocean sitting on top of the bench on the dunes. Me and my family also has a tradition of taking pictures at the top of Barnaget lighthouse at the end of our trip. Love lbi and it will always be my home. Also bagel eddies is my favorite bagel place on the island it’s sooooo good
I don’t think I’ve been to bagel eddies! I’ll have to try it this summer. We walk every morning to the bagel shop down the street from our house! LBI is all about those family traditions! I love it. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Haile! That was such an important thing to me while I was working on this video. I really wanted to make sure I captured the essence of the island, so I'm so glad that came through to you!
Oh really!? Perhaps that’s during the off season? Either way- people get the gist! It’s all about that slow pace of life and taking it easy :) Thanks so much for watching!
Is it good idea to go there for a few days from Montreal?I search a place near New York city. 3-4 days for a beach and 1 day in New York city (take a city bus trip-tour around)
There aren’t any chain hotels on the island and I think a lot of rentals require a weeks stay. There are a few hotels though so definitely look into it! I’d also see if where you stay will provide beach chairs, etc. This isn’t a very commercialized beach so I’m not sure how that would affect your trip. It all depends on what you’re looking to get out of your vacation. I wouldn’t say LBI is a must stop for out of town visitors trying to sightsee but it is a great place to come to get away from everything and relax. Hope that helps!

What an awesome video! You perfectly captured all the best spots on LBI and the essence of why we love it here so much!

What a great place to spend a vacation! Watching your video makes me want to head straight to the beach and order a sizzler at the Sand Box Cafe.
💛 LBI and all the places you mentioned! Really is a hidden gem!
Hey, what part of LBI is that specific beach at? Great video, thanks!
Never thought I’d hear a valley girl talking about a New Jersey beach
Thanks for the tips
bngltinkerbell of course! Hope you can put them to use next summer!
Very nice video, but max speed is 45MPH through Harvey Cedars. Bay Village is a awesome place to shop and Ship Bottom Brewery is the best local beer.

@@bucketlistblueprint8164 The whole island is 45mph from October 15th till around April 1st.
I miss the Sandbox!
