Amazing truck, people with common sense will be buying this Nissan Frontier. That 3.8 V6 will last a lifetime
In theory
I have a titan that has kept throwing codes after the warranty ran out. I do like socks. ergonomics, but the interior space sucks.
Maybe but it might get expensive since they switched to direct injection with the new generation.
Nobody with common sense will pay 60k for a midsized truck
Not really, it is a direct injection engine now so you will have valve issues from the carbon build up at around 50k miles if you do not have them cleaned every 10k miles.
My buddy has a Gronteir with over 300 000 miles, never had a problem with it.
Not a very good spec imo. Just get a pro-4x and do a 2in lift.
Yep I got a Bilstein 5100 kit from all dogs off-road and got there uca's and it can actually do some off roading not just a mall crawler. Rough country bracket lifts are the worst for legit off road use.
Agreed. I actually think a 2 in would give it a nice "stock" look.
I think it would look better with bigger tires
I like the tires and wheels, but the tires either need to be bigger or the truck needs to be lower. Doesn’t look very good.
Bigger tyres would make it look better
Yup just a bit lower would do.
Needs bigger wheel wells to fit 35's
A V6 is nice in a turbo 4 world…
Turbos are no good
Well said
281 pound ft of torque😂👴🏻
@@bojangles4704 I'll stick with my rado lol
Love what they did with the nissan frontier cool truck
I don't know that I'd choose the $56K Nissan over the $48K ZR2 or even the $58K Ranger Raptor but I appreciate the effort.
@@curtshelp6170 No Nissan is 56k. More like 46.
@@jeanclaude7018 Not with this equipment
@@curtshelp6170 Yeah, I was comparing stock to stock. That 6" lift is overkill. I've seen ones with 3" and they are just right.
Good luck getting a Raptor for 58k. Dealers are marking them up well over 60
@@Rafael-f4c6c If I were in the market I think I'd go with a ZR2 on 33's for $48K or even the trail boss on 32s for $41k.
I think Nismo should have come out with a modified Pro4X like that a lot sooner, would have helped boost sales IMO
6inch is too high for that ,4 would have been plenty,a little disproportional
I believe the 4 they have for the frontier cost even more than the 6 lift. The 4 lift is for actual off roading I believe.
I would buy a Nissan frontier before Toyota any day
6” lift is huge and maybe overkill? Does it preserve driveline geometry to prevent wear of u-joints etc?
@@YuenanCao 3 to 4 inch seems more practical.
Nissan uses icon for their dealer installed lift kits. The cost of that plus labor, badging, and the wheels/tires is the reason why it's so expensive. I personally would just buy my own lift and tires for less than half that.
Invasion USA with Chuck Norris where the b ad guys steal a lifted Nissan at the mall.
best looking compact truck
interior not so much
@@phuturephred but it’ll be better built than the new Tacoma from Mexico
@@phuturephred Interior is attractive and functional. Not a cartoon with movie screen like soft Taco.
Rocky Ridge lift? How about a Bilstien 6112/5160 lift kit. Functional and would look a lot better
Glad it has as a lift, stock pro 4x sits too low
These are great trucks. I own a P4X & a Mojave. The P4X gets 21.5MPG & rides like a caddy, far more power too. It's killer off road. Mojave gets 15.5MPG and takes time to move out of its way. But, I can go anywhere with the Moj without mods. Sadly, you have to spend big$ to get clearance on the P4X. I know Ben has to play nice with dealers, but this one sucks! they screwed me and I'll scream it from the mountains forever. I'm turning in my P4X lease in a week. Won't return to do business with them...
Pretty cool ride keep up the good work Mr. Ben…
I like it because it different. Whoever buys it would be one of the few to have it. Also im sure nissan has a discount on the frontier. So that truck would be closer to $50k.
What lift sre they using...or is it something they manufactured. I love my 3rd gen pro4x but i dont think it looks that good with that lift . From the quick glance i couldnt tell if they were factory upper control arms. A pro4x with 2inchs will run 33s some experience coil bucket contact with factory uca's
That’s a lot of truck for essentially the same price as a base model Trd off-road
I have a K2 Titan and it’s been amazing!
This gives the thrown together for appearances vibe not the practical off roading capability build vibe.
Too high for a mid size truck. 3 to 4" would be perfect. If I'm going to get a midsized truck, the Pro 4x would be it.
Best midsize out there
Titan pro4x 5.6 litre is what I purchased love it
For that price i would go with a 2024 Ranger Raptor. I own one and its a beast!
I want this truck. I hope it comes to Canada.
It appears that Nissan has finally built the truck I wanted from the start. I do wish the gearing was higher.
I think a 4” lift instead of this 6” lift would have been perfect with these wheels and tires.
Would look a lot better with a bit of an offset giving it a wider stance.
No leather. No surround view monitor. No auto-dimming mirror. No thanks. Better off buying a loaded truck and adding a lift. But it does look good!
Very nice truck! What are the specific size tires on these? Does it rub or did it need trimming?
As much as I like the Frontier's redesign, seeing it lifted makes it look worse. I've seen some really high lifts in my area (I swear one guy had a 12-inch lift on his old truck), and I can understand a little bit of lift, but on some vehicles it just doesn't look right and this is one such vehicle.
So I can get a Colorado zr2, with heated and cooled seats, better ride quality and much better off road for 4 grand less. Truck looks good and a v 6, but would you buy it instead?
A quick google search reveals the issues people are having with their Colorado/Canyon's.
12k for a lift, wheels and tires and some stitching on the stock seat covers. 🤣🤣 Um, no. For 59k you can get a ZR2 or AT4X, which are proven off-road trucks.
And way way better looking than this. Frontier to me is like a trying hard to be Tacoma. Just not doing it for me..
GM was good 20 years ago…downhill since
Will a 6 inch lift decrease its 18/23 MPG?
I like the new Frontier, but let's face it, the EPA gas mileage is dang near that of my Hemi Ram 1500. That package does look good, but I can't imagine what it would do to the Frontiers mpg.
Don’t buy a truck if you want fuel economy.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with old school. I work at a dealership as a technican and all the electronic crap on vehicles are breaking.
12k for a RC lift that gives 0 extra ground clearance and really bad articulation. Not to mention that you have to cut your subframe. I'm a Nissan guy but I'd buy a Colorado ZR2 or Canyon AT4 before spending that kind of money on a cheap lift
So, 15k more for a lift and tires. Hell no!! And now, probably 14 mpg city.
I love this truck. V6 baby. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I agree with others on here, 6 inch lift is too high, 2 inches is plenty
2 inches is plenty…All men rejoice!
@@BenHardyCars as long as we're satisfied 😂
this looks awesome
Why no telescoping steering wheel for that much money?
Power seats are anything but nice to have
Nissan really needs to fix their really poor turning radious which is important.
I'd be all in on a frontier if the six was a diesel. Better yet...i6 diesel...
6:15 that orange Dodge looks nice
With the Mexican made Tacomas and the engine problems with the new Tundras, Nissan has taken over the quality that Toyota used to have.
NICE but with a lift like that i am sure it will be its share of offroad use/abuse. I have a 2023 Frontier 2 WD for a rental while my 2023 1500 Classic Warlock is in the body shop, that 3.8 has PLENTY of power and probably more that my 3.6, if i wouldn't lose my shirt by trading mine i would but a 4WD SL or maybe a Titan??? Both nice trucks though i haven't driven a Titan yet. I been driving the Frontier for about 2 weeks so far, the heavy steering is obvious though.
The "BIG 3" have completely lost their way on building TRUCKS...
It's a nice truck
i like the frontier rocky ridge but it not having the 360 cameras thats a deal buster
6” lift for 33s?!? That’s stock on a JT and a ZR2 Colorado that has significantly less lift. This looks like its waiting to be flipped.
33s fit on the stock suspension, only need to take the mud flaps off 😂
I'm planning 2.5-3in lift and 33s
Looks cool but 56K is crazy. Especially for the still pretty outdated frontier. You could do so much more with that amount of money at ford or the GM twins. Not so much at Toyota though
@@losr98 What is outdated about Frontier? No turbo 4 or 50 inch screen? Who NEEDS that crap?
@@jeanclaude7018 nobody needs anything but a lot of people would like it. Me included. It's not like I made that up. Plenty of auto journalists have described it that way as well.
@@losr98 Really? You WANT a turbo 4?
@@jeanclaude7018 I mean I have one. Been great so far. Much better than the V6 I came from
id get it if it was at my dealer... unfortunately my dealer is boring.
Looks like Nissan finally stepped up there game. They did a way better job than Toyota did with the Tacoma. The new Tacoma sucks. Something always breaking on it. I’ll stick with my 2022 Toyota Tacoma.
33s are way too small for that size lift; truck is disproportionate. The Chevy Colorado ZR2 can fit 35s with zero modifications & has the most balanced stance in the segment; nothing else is even close.
This or for the same money a basic TRD OR.
Hmmm?
It's a lifted pro4x
Those too skinny wheels/tires don’t make justice to its overall look 👀
That truck is missing one thing a winch from the factory to bad the frontier has such a crappy turning radius
This over a Tacoma, front locker and supercharger this over anything
Wonder why I never see lifted Frontiers??
Because they aren’t as popular as they should be
@@Drg24800 I see a lot of Frontiers, just not lifted ones. I see a ton of lifted Toyotas.
Sweet truck but price is too high needs leather seats and a winch for sure
Looks beautiful but very expensive and it’s missing sunroof and heated seats. Not worth it, rather get the regular pro 4x that will come with it. Plus I have one Nissan frontier pro 4x myself and I still love it. Really wished I had cooled seats with it
@@lucianoosorio5942 less things, less to break
All this truck and no sunroof and heated seats? That makes no sense if someone is wanting the premier set up.
@@LK-bz9sk yeah. Rocky ridge takes the price way up. Would make more sense to do it on a more specd out pro4x
I would rather pay for a simple reliable V6 than a small 4 cylinder, turbo charged, dual electric motor train wreck
Looks like the wish version of the Ranger
2024 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X Rocky Ridge Crew Cab 4X4!
Bruh don't be those drivers that turn into oncoming traffic.
Needs wheel spacers so badly
Nice truck. I think it's time for a haircut 💇♂️
"rocky ridge"
*paints rear bumper
🤣
be awesome if it had 😢360 degree cameras .
Bro, almost $60,000 for a lifted frontier hell no
4" would have been smarter...
🤩 wow
Looks good in stock form. Very weird looking tall truck with this lift. Probably drives like crap.
If I were in the market for a midsize truck ❤❤❤❤ the Nissan would be my only choice 😊 sorry Toyota 👋🏾
Looks way better lifted, but there's just something about the Frontier I'll never get past... it looks "cheap". It's hard to explain, I can't even rationalize it in my own mind, but it looks like a cheap truck.
That doesn't really look that good from a side profile.
Still too expensive. Not worth the 56K they are asking.
$56k for a truck with a 2008 engine?
@@doxydoxdelamanca9902 2020 engine. 4.0 V6 was the prior engine
The engine I like, but the bump in price for a lift kit and wheels ....just higher center of G and probably makes turning radius a bit bigger
Gimmicky that lift is not functional especially running 18s. More mallcrawler than off-roader
Seems gimmicky! 6" lift to run 33" tires. The huge gap between the wheel wells and tires looks like crap, IMHO. The Toyota looked better lifted with 35's. Imagine what a Raptor would look like with the same setup. In 2023, Nissan only sold 58K Frontiers. Even the aftermarket is limited for these vehicles. With slumping vehicle sales. Nissan will be hard pressed to sell 35K to 40K units. That's why they killed the Titan, plus a bunch of other models. It's a fanboy club!
Tooo high. A little lower
A long warrant means that there is probably going to be plenty of problems down the road
Stance looks horrible
Meh. They turned a good off road truck into a mall crawler. No thanks
Well it's up to the driver not the manufacturer where it's driven.
Great truck but cramped interior.
Sheesh, last second "we gotta get out sh8T together" and failed bad, wtf is this terrible vehicle about, it'll fall over going over a curb.
bahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....$12,000 Rocky Ridge markup? That truck will be there way past 2028. You can pickup a Raptor Ranger for that much.
Looks stupid with a 6” lift.
Uhnn not really good looking, in my opinion
Take it out on the interstate and run it 75 mph and see what happens!Guarantee your steering wheel will be jumping in your hands and the passenger seat will be dancing back and forth. That's what my 2023 base model 4×4 frontier does with properly balanced 31 inch bfg ko2 all terrains on nissan/nismo 17 inch axis rims.Big mistake putting a rotten ridge kit on that truck. They retained the factory stamped steel upper control arms on that lift which is not too bright!Did rocky ridge do a headlight readjustment on the headlights?I doubt it.Btw,the gear shift knob will notch to the left so you can manually shift that auto trans. The truck itself stock with sane rims and tires is the best midsize on the market but to do this to it in my opinion is just stupid. That thing out the door will be over $60,000 🤠.The average village idiot will love it! 🤭
Too bad Boone can afford it. 56k????
Over priced…
Zr2 Colorado better
Nissan roped in a generation of buyers and now charging the same as Toyota. No thanks
