@@1asian1phone That is some read you gave us to start off this thread. So far people who have bought the Frontier. I haven't heard anybody complaining.
I'm happy to see the Frontier move up from the back of the crowd. Speaking of not having excessive tech, you completely skipped over the S 4x4. Those are a few thousand cheaper than the SV, but have less tech issues than the SV and the Pro4x. Same engine and transmission, all the stuff that really matters plus more ground clearance than the SV.
@SamkoWorkShop could be but look at older Toyotas and they off the ground .I don't care really what truck it is I just like more clearance so when I run over an opossum or rabbit I won't kill it
Would the Nismo lift kit really make a difference? Is it really worth it to get it? Looking at a 24 SV and wondering if I should get that nismo lift kit.
Nissan did it right with their VQ motors. They are bullet proof. My Titan has 350,000 miles and runs perfect but mpgs are bad. Will be considering a Frontier as I had a 2010 and it was also a very good little truck. Towed my 20 ft bass boat with ease
Lol, count me in, too! Just traded in my trusty old '14 Jeep JK for a '23 Midnight Edition Frontier. After 10 years in the Jeep, the Frontier feels like a sedan. Man, what a sweet ride!
One of the things that sold me on the Frontier last year was the ability to get an SV with the premium package (which has now become the SL). It's awesome to have leather, premium audio, sunroof, etc. without spending tons of money.
I have a 2023 Frontier Pro 4X, and had a 2018 Pro 4X before it. Love it. It isn't necessarily the best at anything, but excellent in everything. Does it all very well.
Hydraulic steering, naturally aspirated v6, nice amount of tech but not overkill. Its a new truck with an "old school" build. No other mid size truck even sparks interest for me.
I still feel I got away with robbery every time I drive my '22 Frontier SV. Bought it used with 25k miles for $28k. Extremely clean. I don't know what packages it has, but it's pretty loaded for me. Sensors all around, heated seats and wheel, side steps, 120v outlet inside and in bed, locking tailgate, tie down tracks with cleats, ect. And it has a nice hard foldable bed cover (don't know if it's oem). Compare what's on this truck with a V6 vs something like a used Maverick for $30k. You could get another brand Midsize for about 28k, but it's going to be barebones. Oh and ride quality is great. Super quiet and smooth. No rattles either. Plenty of power.
I love my 2023 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X in tactical green. Get lots of compliments from folks when at Walmart. Had a guy come up to me earlier in the year and ask me about it and said his wife loves my truck.
Nissan trucks have deserved attention this whole time. Had an 07 Pathfinder, 12 Frontier, and now an 18 Titan P4X. All have been excellent, not a single issue with any of them. I don't like what they've done with CVTs in their cars, vut their trucks have been solid this whole time. The cars would be too if not for the CVT. And guess what, made in USA, just south of Nashville, TN. Not Mexico...cough Toyota.
this man knows what he is talking about! I'm happy with my boring 2017 V6 Tacoma SR5 4x4. nothing fancy and only 37K out the door. Today Ill take the Nissan
I looked at them all and bought a GMC Canyon AT4. For my money the GMC/Chevy is a great value for money. I wanted something modern, off road capable with luxury amenities.
I commented on this before on a prior video of yours, but adding to the comment. I purchased a 2024 Nissan Pro4X in the color of Cardinal Red this past January. I absoulutely love this truck. I was a die hard Ford man but due to problems on my 2018 F-150, it turned me away from another ford. I was torn between the 2024 Nissan Frontier and the Toyota Tacoma. In comparison to the Tacoma, the Frontier's side steps look stronger, the exhaust tip's placement is better, and you get a real/ full size spare tire. I wasn't sure if i would like the handling of the hydraulic steering, but it is fantastic. The Frontier's rear seat flips up and locks mechanicaly in place, no stupid strap and snap like the Taco. I also like keeping my engine clean, good luck with that under the Taco hood mess, take a look at both engines and you will understand. If your not drag racing your buddy, this truck has plenty of power. The look, feel and ride is fantastic, Nissan nailed it!
Wow! A 3.8 v6. A sweet motor indeed. The US gov't will step in soon and crash this party. Uncle Sam will coax Nissan into making a 3 cylinder 1.1litre turbo to replace the smooth 3.8 litre. Look at the Ford F150. A turbo charged 2.7 V6 - standard. That's like injecting adrenaline into a 140 Pound man and putting him up to a Heavyweight boxing match.
Not pooping on Nissan, but I spoke with a commercial fleet manager and he stated the problem with the current gen Frontier was that engine/drivetrain parts are sole sourced... so costs are high and availability van be low. Hopefully that changes as people buy more. 🤷🏽
I actually think I like the new body style of the Frontier better than that the new Tacomas. A couple years ago it was the other way around. Tacomas looked WAY better than Frontiers.
If only they would have made their titan warrior concept vehicle from back in 2017ish. I have been wishing nissan would pull thw trigger. This current titan is getting closer. Nice job Nissan. Been a fan since my 1990 Nissan 2wd.
I have 20k miles now on my 23 prox ide say engine is broken in now, it’s a solid reliable platform for sure, only complaint I ever had is back up camera isn’t the best quality but it’s also not horrendous
I strongly agree in terms of style, design, torque, speed, reliability and fuel efficiency. Its all in one no fake turbo and hp up grades just fair and affordability full with amazing technology for a 4x4 wheel drive.
Frontier and Colorado are the only midsize trucks I'd consider. They offer value that Toyota and Ford have just disregarded. People are speaking with their wallets and I love it.
Id never thought i see th3 day i would legit pass up a Tacoma for frontier but nissan has passed toyoto in trucks now officially. Frontier is legit the best looking mid size on top of that
Oddly enough the 2023 Frontier was my very first car I’ve ever leased only bc I got an amazing deal. Now that my lease is ending and I’m shopping around again, I’m realizing nothing will compare. Amazing truck.
Got my ‘22 King Cab SV 2WD with technology package in ‘21. Full size bed, nicely appointed interior, huge bang/$. A real truck for truck people who don’t off-road. I’ll probably die with it.
Next to no one in my area and we have dealer within 9 miles. I've never seen over 3 on the lot at a time and it's very rare to see one on the roll in town.
I went from 2021 TRD Off Road Premium to 2024 Frontier Pro4X Premium. Reasons you said, best bang for the buck easy, nice truck inside and out, capable truck, reliable truck, good power, lots of features….and if you’re leasing it has good lease payments due to a good price AND a good residual.
Great truck! Nitpicking some things for me is the shallow bed, no pro 4x in a longer bed, no telescoping steering wheel, and no electric back window. Heard in 2025 that they are making the Pro 4x in a long bed.
I have a 2017 four cylinder frontier with a manual trans that I bought new. I haven’t had to do anything to it but put gas in it and change the oil. I’m still driving on the original brake pads.
Idk why we need so much tech that brings more problems. That’s why I’m getting one in Jan/Feb. I’m in heating and air conditioning and our industry taking a step back all the compressors and motor going to inverter technology. We use to replace motors for 700-900 now we replacing inverter motors for 2-2.5k and they are going out more often.
I like my month old 2024 Pro-4X with just over 3000 miles. So far, the auto tailgate lock is intermittent and had an intermittent back seat seatbelt warning issue. The biggest surprise was this weekend on a long road trip, I had what seemed like a small pebble smack the windshield and it made a very small dot about a 32nd" wide. in an hour it was about 3 32nds inch long as we reached the hotel. Next morning it was about 3/4" long. Stayed that way all day until our destination where I planned to get it fixed the next morning. Next morning, it was about three feet long across the windshield and had about three different radials going out from the center. The moral of the story is, I still like my new truck but at a thousand dollars a windshield, I may learn to drive it cracked.
I own a 23 Armada platinum, when nobody wanted one. My Nissan is really nice, and the 5.6 is amazing. I paid $59,000 for it new. The Frontier is amazing.
I agree 100%. I don’t want turbo. I don’t want tech. I don’t want high prices. I want a naturally aspirated V8 with limited features in a full size truck that is reliable at a cheap price.
I don't think this is a far comparison because the 2024 Tacoma in March 2024 just started hitting lots; you will need to look at Q1 and Q2 combined to get an accurate metric.
I picked up a 2022 SV last month. Great vehicle. I'm 6'4", and I'm completely comfortable in this rig. It does anything I need very well. 2 Hardbodies and this one. it makes all the competition look sorta lame, to be honest.
Well said in this video a practical truck i have a 2015 Nissan Pro 4 X with 345 000 km on it not one breck down yet not one check engine light drives like the day it was new unreal. This truck is used all over the World for its reliability and dependability.
Oh it's changed. I mean, their trucks are not junk and never really have been. There's always certain years where there's more problems than others. But for the most part, the frontier is worth its weight in gold.
You already know I've brought up my pro4x. i got up a little over a month ago. You nailed it. Every reason you brought upos why i went this route. Now i will say if toyota stayed true to their heritage, I'd been willing to buy a tacoma at a higher price than the frontier. However, that isn't the case. Here i am with a pro4x and i happened to have saved money
@MsAce0424 yep many people feeling the same way. Wanted toyota but toyota went the wrong direction so people went to nissan for the best option right now.
I bought one just 2 months ago and love it. The only mechanical issue I've noticed is a bit of slip in the transmission when its downshifting to a stop at a light, and I got an adapter to get fully wireless Android Auto, and that cuts out sometimes. Outside of that, this thing is cherry. As much as I love the Tacoma, I just can't justify the $65k + price tag for the latest model TRD-Pro equivalent in what's essentially a turbo 4 mid-size pickup.
Glad you are loving it. I really like the new ranger too. I think the last one was a rock start though. Proven l, tough and lots of after market support.

@@1asian1phone That is some read you gave us to start off this thread.
So far people who have bought the Frontier. I haven't heard anybody complaining.
got my 2016 pro4 for 24k, one of the best purchases ive made in my life to date
Awesome truck
I'm happy to see the Frontier move up from the back of the crowd. Speaking of not having excessive tech, you completely skipped over the S 4x4. Those are a few thousand cheaper than the SV, but have less tech issues than the SV and the Pro4x. Same engine and transmission, all the stuff that really matters plus more ground clearance than the SV.
Very good points
I have noticed aton of tricks now days close to ground and that was my one issue with frontier wished they'd be higher off ground like most Toyotas .
@@michaelyork7844 I don't think toyota ground clearance is as high as they say it is.
Just looked at one in person. Nice looking , great interior
Great truck
Nissan did it right with their VQ motors. They are bullet proof. My Titan has 350,000 miles and runs perfect but mpgs are bad. Will be considering a Frontier as I had a 2010 and it was also a very good little truck. Towed my 20 ft bass boat with ease
@@Cornuts1000 love hearing this
I bought my 2022 Nissan Frontier SV in late 2021. I LOVE it and have not had any problems with it at all.
Excellent truck
Lol, count me in, too! Just traded in my trusty old '14 Jeep JK for a '23 Midnight Edition Frontier. After 10 years in the Jeep, the Frontier feels like a sedan. Man, what a sweet ride!
@briandavies1397 congratulations on such an amazing truck
I bought a new 2023 Frontier last year. No complaints. It has a lot of power for a mid-size pickup.
Congratulations on a great truck
Best midsize truck on the market.
TACOMA OWNER HERE AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE👋👋🫡🫡🇺🇲🇺🇲 my next mid size will be a FRONTIER
Hearing that alot lately. Main reason I made this video
That's almost nothing I love more than to hear a tacoma owner swapping to a frontier. Spread the word brother, these trucks are dope!
Don't forget they now offer the SL trim again. All the nice stuff for folks who don't do hard core offroading and want a really nice truck.
Very good point
One of the things that sold me on the Frontier last year was the ability to get an SV with the premium package (which has now become the SL). It's awesome to have leather, premium audio, sunroof, etc. without spending tons of money.
I love my frontier. It is not a computer on wheels.
I have a 2023 Frontier Pro 4X, and had a 2018 Pro 4X before it. Love it. It isn't necessarily the best at anything, but excellent in everything. Does it all very well.
Perfect.
Hydraulic steering, naturally aspirated v6, nice amount of tech but not overkill. Its a new truck with an "old school" build.
No other mid size truck even sparks interest for me.
It sure is a great truck
And yours is a truck that will last decades
I love my 2023 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X in tactical green. Get lots of compliments from folks when at Walmart. Had a guy come up to me earlier in the year and ask me about it and said his wife loves my truck.
Such a great truck
Had a 2022 Pro4X …. Just upgraded to the 2024 to hold onto long term…….it’s the real deal. Check it out, you’ll be happy you did.
You are correct I bought one last week for those exact reasons
@farouk6564 congratulations on a great truck
Bought my 2023 frontier pro4x brand new and absolutely love everything about it, thanks for the gem Nissan plz keep them naturally aspirated
I believe it stays naturally aspirated until 2029 then we don't know what happens
Yep nissan has always made a great truck
this man knows what he is talking about! I'm happy with my boring 2017 V6 Tacoma SR5 4x4. nothing fancy and only 37K out the door. Today Ill take the Nissan
Love the 3rd gen tacos. They run forever.
I looked at them all and bought a GMC Canyon AT4. For my money the GMC/Chevy is a great value for money. I wanted something modern, off road capable with luxury amenities.
Love the gm midsize trucks
Agree 100% on all points
Really wish they made the Pro4X with access cab for the American market. I believe they get that in Canada.
Wow!
Hopefully the chevron deference ruling will slow the epa down on this crap
@@Jason-Samko
If you read the ruling it will make regulations worse
@@lordrayden3045 time will tell. But I'm hopeful it doesnt

Oddly enough the 2023 Frontier was my very first car I’ve ever leased only bc I got an amazing deal. Now that my lease is ending and I’m shopping around again, I’m realizing nothing will compare. Amazing truck.
Sure is an excellent truck
There's no surprise, this is what a truck should be
Got my ‘22 King Cab SV 2WD with technology package in ‘21. Full size bed, nicely appointed interior, huge bang/$. A real truck for truck people who don’t off-road. I’ll probably die with it.
Excellent teuck

The shallow bed was a deal killer for me.
Great points
If the 4x in 2025 will be offered in a long bed, then I am waiting. Thanks for the info.

Yep everything is becoming disposable
@@SWAMPTTHING yep windshield prices today are stupid. Just stupid.
I own a 23 Armada platinum, when nobody wanted one. My Nissan is really nice, and the 5.6 is amazing. I paid $59,000 for it new. The Frontier is amazing.

I don't think this is a far comparison because the 2024 Tacoma in March 2024 just started hitting lots; you will need to look at Q1 and Q2 combined to get an accurate metric.

Because they have fantastic value for the price. If you're not pulling a gigantic trailer or RV all the time, you should get a frontier.
Love the frontier
