the most interesting part of this movie and something most people miss is the fact that Dr. Octavius knows about the cellular decay that Peter is going through and knows he will die if he stays in this dimension for too long. and yet she BLATANTLY lies to King Pin's face and says he will get his family back at about 30:05 (or she would if it wasn't cut off) it's so fun seeing how they don't like each other, supported by the way Doc Ock raises herself above King Pin when talking to him so she can look down on him. it's small details like that that give so much life to these characters, their world, and their story :)
I've seen this movie so many times and never thought about that! She was totally playing Fisk! That's so messed up! Thanks for pointing that out!
I noticed this time around Aunt Mae called her “Liv” (like her friends do) - guess they went to school together?
@@milkflavored Here's something to really mess with your mind: comics Aunt May has briefly married Doctor Octopus (well, Otto Octavious) at one point. What that could mean in terms of this universe... up for interpretation, but I had a chuckled and double take when I heard that in the theater.
If she knows about the cellular decay, it's very possible she knows away around it like the Spider Society's bracelet. She's smart enough to know her boss would not be kind once his newfound family starts glitching out of existence.
@@snvhillWell, Olivia Octavius said only her friends call her Liv, so I doubt it was anything romantic but Aunt May and Liv because then Aunt May wouldn’t still be calling her that since there’s beef.
Into the Spiderverse took 4 years to make while Across The Spiderverse Took 5 Years mainly because of a certain characters art style which took an insane amount of time to animate
He was so worth it tho considering how great the reception to him specifically was
@@jittercrittersucks I had his reveal spoiled by fans on social media ( waited to see with a special someone)
also the chase scene in across the spider verse took 4 years to animate mainly because of how much spider people there were
The most important Stan Lee cameo ever for a multiverse of reasons
🥹❤️🙏🏼
@@MeeshDeeReactsHow are you guys doing? When is the wedding you are going to love the Spider verse movies.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah knee slapper my friend, a knee slapper that was
Why when I hear his voice I think of Big Hero 6?...
@@OneAndOnlyZekePolarisHe also had a cameo in that movie (multiple if you count the portrait as a separate cameo)
Spiderman in the comics can't actually shoot webs naturally. Peter had to create the webshooters in the comics. The raimi trilogy was the first adaptation to do natural webs
Yeah it's a little annoying everyone thinks this cause of that movie lol. The only time he did that was when he mutated into that 4 armed spider. 😂😂😂😂
In my opinion the natural webs are so much better. I naturally hate heroes dependent on ammunition.
@@TheJerbolI'm the opposite, cuz webs shows how smart peter actually is to make that. He's not just a goofball but a smartass goofball. And Miguel is the one who's supposed to have it in reality
@@arnabbiswasalsodeep Yeah I appreciate that aspect of his character, but they almost never address this weakness in media so it seems pointless
@@TheJerbolSamee, like spiders don't create web shooters 😂 it's coo tho, idc much 😅
This trilogy is shaping up to be my favorite super hero trilogy every. It breaks new ground with its animation, has near perfect soundtrack, and just the most touching story. Glad you guys are checking it out. And it was epic to see in theaters. I think I went like 7 times to see it?
Spoiler !!!
@@3Kings_Industries what about my comment is a spoiler?
@@robling1937 when the film released, it wasn't know to lead into a trilogy. But, nah, you're good. Not really a spoiler so long after release.
its really hard to believe they havent seen it before. I remember when this movie came out i was in college, and everyone i knew, even people that had never seen comic movies or any comics in general watched this in theaters... it was all anyone was talking about for a couple months. They definitely seen this at least once before lmao
@@SuryaGupta-te7fq I never saw it in theaters.i literally thought, ugggh, they are doing Spiderman again, why do they always try and use Spider.an to sell Marvel.
But, I totally lament not seeing it in theaters. This film is by far the best Spider story
Doc Ock: My friends call me "Liv".
Aunt May: Oh great, it's Liv.
👀👀👀
calling her by "Liv" yet not being a friend. ouch 😁
(May Parker and Dr Otto Octavius almost got married in Amazing Spider Man #131 👀)
Hailee Steinfeld in all of the animated bangers.
She is the 🐐🐐🐐
@@MeeshDeeReacts Can yu guys watch one piece i feel like yull love it the live action atleast
@@MeeshDeeReacts In case you guys didn't know, by the way, sunflower (the song) first debuted on this movie iirc
Not just animated, its the best spiderman movie ever made, period.
Hands down.
Debatable
@@Anonymous-lu1ok not even....unless you are talking about the sequel
Period!!!
No across the spider verse is much better even though this is still great
Hailee Steinfeld was excellent in Hawkeye too. People hated on it but I really enjoyed it. Her and Florence Pugh were amazing together!
“How many spidermen are we going to see?” Just wait until you watch “across the spider-verse”😆
Dee is so good at recognising voice actors
I try!! 🤩🙏🏼
6:12 Maybe you guys are early.
Gwen was literally too early, she time traveled a few days, she arrived before the collide incident even happened!
So much heartbreak in just a few minutes
1. Aaron gets shot
2. Miles watches him die
3. Jeff finds his dead brother
4. Peter chooses to stay even though he know he will die and never reunited with MJ
5. Peter gives him one last chance to go along and the others wait outside having hope (u can see Gwen’s hope fall when he can’t do it)
6. Jeff comes to talk to his son
7. Jeff tells him he loves him, and says he doesn’t have to say it back and he thinks he isnt saying it because he doesn’t like saying it but really he physically couldn’t at the moment, and Miles most likely really wanted to say it back this time and probably just wanted to hug his dad.
It’s weird because I’m not an emotional person at all when it comes to real life, but movies can break me easily. Anyone of these things could’ve broke me alone.
I literally spent the past few nights watching Coco, Wish, and How to Train Your Dragon 1, 2, and 3. And cried on all 5 movies 😂
Definitely on par with HTTYD and I consider those to be some of the best movies ever made
Noir Spider-Man was voiced by Nicholas Cage because only he could play a character as strange and unhinged
Perfect timing I'm on my lunch break
Hope you enjoy! 😁🙏🏼
@@MeeshDeeReacts i did enjoy. You guys are great. Have a great day
If y’all thought this one was amazing (which it rightfully so is) wait until y’all watch the second one, It gets even better!😩🔥
Literally SO excited to jump into Across the Spiderverse 🤩🤩
So true, the sequel took the story in such a unique narrative direction!
@@3Kings_Industries YESSSSSSS‼️
Im always taken aback when someone says they love the song Sunflower but have never seen Spiderverse. I'm guessing it must've gotten radio play or something, because the song is an original for this movie and I only know it to be on the official original movie soundtrack.
It was played everywhere back then
Yeah it was a major radio hit for a good minute back in 2018. I looked it up and apparently it spent 33 weeks in the top 10 of the Hot 100 and was one of the most successful songs of the year
By the way, Hailee Steinfeld isn’t the only Arcane actress doing fire work elsewhere, the voice of Jinx is one of the leads in Fallout (new series on Amazon Prime), and she is awesome in that as well. 👍. Great show to react to also!
The beautiful Ella Purnell
So while doing some quick fact checking, I learned something about this movie that I wanted to share. In the beginning, when Miles was first learning the ropes, they animated him on twos (his fps was 12 instead of 24), which makes him look choppy against the background & Peter, which were framed on ones, but at the end of the movie, he was animated on ones.
I also read that each character was animated with differing frame rates, which if true goes to show how talented they were when making this movie. You can't just find a group of animators & tell them to do this, you craft this with time, dedication, & love for what you're working on. Amazing movie, hope to see y'all react to the new one.
P.S.: didn't realize the video was over an hour long until I paused around the 40 minute mark. You don't realize how much time has passed, when you're enjoying yourself. =^._.^=
Glad you enjoyed it. I was so sad after I watched it that I didn't get to see it in theaters. I made a point to see the next one "Across" in theaters which was incredible.
It deserves all of the praise and hype it gets and the sequel is just as good and I cannot wait for the what I assume is the last in a trilogy.
this and the next one are just amazing and deep. took me a min to grasp the animation but I love it now
in the whats up danger scene, in his leap of faith, it shows his drive is more than his fear of failing. When he jumps off the building and the glass breaks becuase of his hands sticking to it, shows his fear and not fulling relaxing. But his push from the legs that launch him off is stronger. He is scared, but he want to help the others more. This shows the growth and taking up the mantle of spider-man. He is willing to go out of his comfort for the safety of his friends.
Great Reaction as always...that lightning power Miles has is called Venomshock...so cool.
Loved the reaction! Very awesome that out of all the reactors, y'all made the connection that the spider that bit Miles was also glitching and likely from another universe.
Glad you enjoyed! 🤍😊
No surprise here, another fantastic reaction! The soundtrack and animation are next level, although being 6 years old! Great reaction ladies!
Thanks for always watching with us! 🥰🙏🏼
22:48 I haven't seen anybody else come to that conclusion with the spider naturally.
16:28 "They keep making animation like this..."
The new Teenage Mutant Turtles and Puss in Boots 2 are inspired/heavityse the same animation style if you wanna check up amazingly done movies.
Now I want to see a Roger Rabbit style movie with this kind of animation interacting with live action actors.
X-men 97 next reaction. This week is the final episode of season 1. This show has already been green lit for season 2.
Prepare for the rollercoaster ride.
I'm so looking forward to seeing your reaction to the next in the Spider-Verse series!
i absolutely NEED across the spider verse RN!! i was so sure there was no way it could top the original because it was so perfect, but imo it did, in all the best ways!!
In the comics Kingpin is 6'7 and weighs 475 pounds (95-97% muscle). He has no superpowers!
oh i’m so excited for how much y’all are going to love the sequel. i came out of the theater joking that i had no idea what happened because my eyes were so overwhelmed with ecstasy haha
This is one of the movies that really... kicked off a lot of the best animation trends in the last several years. Don't get me wrong, movies were doing very well at being very realistic, but this one kind of helped to give them permission to be hyper-stylized again. I LOVE Miles' arc... learning how to take that leap of faith. Given where I was in my life when this first came out, that leap of faith will never leave me. I'm really looking forward to you two seeing the sequel. I hope you get to it sooner rather than later!
I can't get over the fact that dying spiderman told kid spiderman to swing up there when kid spiderman has no webs.
Miles doing the exact trick that this universe did at the end will always be so cool like yeah even though hes gone he taught Miles alot
Something a lil nerdy but I thought was so cool when I noticed it was when they are in the forest swinging together I noticed miles swinging looked a little more choppy that old Pete’s and I thought it was because of experience. But miles actually moves in less frames than him.
Hell yeah! I was patiently waiting for this. So glad you guys are diving into this story.
Dee really called Peter Porker, lechon? Now i'm going to feel guilty at family parties. 😅
😂😂😂😂 glad you caught that!! 🐷😜
This and Arcane have the most incredible animation I’ve seen (in different ways).
Just so you know, the second movie has references to ALL of the Spider-Man-related movies, including the ones before the MCU, the MCU, and Sony Venom… It’s not critical, but if you’ve watched them you’ll catch more references which is fun.
Btw, totally ok that you missed it at the time, because you have time to catch up since unfortunately it takes a long time to animate this well… We still don’t know when the next one is, though hopefully next year! 🤞
Believe Stan Lee passed away a little over a month before this was released. Remember tearing up when he said his line.
We miss you too Stan.
Across the spiderverse is a must watch it’s so good
Nicolas Cage is the voice of the noir spiderman
The Spider-Man in Nueva York voiced by Oscar Issac, the actor who played Moon Knight in the mcu!
This was the best Spiderman movie for 5 years….until Across the Spiderverse came out. Now it’s POSSIBLY the best but PROBABLY the 2nd best (or tied for best)
I recommend you watch Puss in Boots 2, it has the same animation style as this film, not to mention the story is excellent.
tobey maguire’s spider-man is the only version of spider-man to have natural webs. every other version of spider-man uses a web shooter that they design themselves
Peni spider robot was by her father that was the last thing he gave her.
Something many people don't know is that THE ONLY SPIDERMAN that has natural webs is the one from the Tobey Maguire movies, that's the only spiderman version that doesn't use the gadgets aside from that version Spiderman always had the web shooters Peter builds himself because it's to prove how much of a genius Peter really is
Great fucking reaction ladies, can't wait to see your reactions for Across the Spider Verse!
Kingpin was created to be a Spiderman villain originally.
i was a marvel guy until last year, when i actually looked into dc and became absolutely obsessed with the characters. the batfam dynamics alone could keep me fed for months
This movie is what made Miles Morales Spiderman up there with the original Sam Raimi trilogy. Can't wait to see your "Across the Spider-verse". Miles family dynamic becomes so much more important too, you'll seriously fall in love with the family 🥰.
Dreamworks copies the animation style from this film in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (another must watch), but I only recommend seeing that after Shrek 1 and Shrek 2 if you have never seen those.
57:39 actually OG Spiderman (Peter) is the strongest and the Main branch of Spiderverse( there are more versions of Peter being spiderman but still is Peter, not other person) Miles have more skills like the invisibility and electricity but is weaker in terms of resistance to being hit and strength
Ooooohhhh cant wait for you to watch the sequel!!🔥
damn yall gotta do more movies i love your chill style
😁❤️🙏🏼 we appreciate you! More movies otw!
Great reaction! You 2 are gonna love Across the Spiderverse!
What is so cool about this and across the spiderverse all the characters and their universes match their comic book artwork like Gwen's comics look like water color and if u pay attention to her outline and the way her world is drawn u can see that it looks like it was painted with water color paints
I’m sure someone already answered it but Spider-Man Noir was voiced by Nicholas Cage
Friendly tip remember the bagel 🥯 scene it plays an important role in the 2nd movie
Gonna need that across the Spiderverse reaction expeditiously
Facts
52:15 Miles has bioelectricity and his electric attacks are usually called a Venom Strike. Oftentimes he can power up his punches and whatnot with it beyond the super strength Spider people typically have
I'm not sure about Miles' universe but I believe that Olivia is the daughter of an original Otto Octavius. Unlike her dad she perfected the tentacles and controls them completely but what makes her evil is the hatred towards Spiderman who in her eyes is responsible for the death of Otto. It could be no longer a cannon, since I've had my last comic more than 15 years ago, so anyone who can add on this matter is very welcome
great reaction ladies this film is 1 of the best spidey films and Dee says she's a big Xmen fan maybe yah can react to Xmen 97 animated series that just came out its kinda like this and its epic !
❤️❤️❤️
intothe spiderverse good across the spiderverse 1000times good it's a masterpiece❤️🔥
If you like Gwen with the ballet shoes wait until she gets the chucks
I love this movie, and it's definitely worth watching again several times, but you can't ever feel the way you felt when it all overwhelmed you the first time. But the next best thing is the giddiness of anticipating someone else's first time reaction. So thank you for that.
Thank you for watching with us! ☺️🫶🏼
Found your channel through the Arcane reactions. Been enjoying the content very much!
Been a big fan of this movie series as well.
Out of curiosity, have you gotten to watch the Netflix Daredevil series? Would be great content.
Thanks for watching along with us!! 🥰🙏🏼 we haven’t checked out Daredevil on Netflix yet but could be something we consider watching next!
@@MeeshDeeReacts I think you'd very much enjoy it. It's a lot grittier than most Marvel stuff. But the writing and acting are top of the food chain.
More power to you!
Bit of trivia: Aunt May was voiced by Lily Tomlin; actor and comedian for over 40 years, and a bit of a badass.
So messed up he nailed a scientist in a lab with a bagel! Doesn’t he know that’s how a super nemesis can be born?
So uncle Aaron/Prowler is in the MCU! He’s the guy Tom Holland ties to a truck lid and interrogates in Spider-Man homecoming. He’s played by Childish Gambino. Back when the first Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movie was announced to be in preproduction casting, there was a fan campaign to have Childish Gambino cast as Spider-Man. A bunch of “individuals” complained Spider-Man can’t be black, Stan Lee said he absolutely could. A few months later Miles Morales debuted in the comics!
I really love this movie and I think the Spider-man that dies early in this movie voiced by Chris Pine feels like the perfect Spider-man in such a short amount of time like his "i'm so tired" but keeps quipping and keeps getting back up. Regarding the Andrew Spider-man movies I feel like they really failed him because he's by far the best actor between Toby/Andrew/Tom and he REALLY loved Spider-man from a young age and I felt his Spider-man was so good but the script/directions were flawed :/
"is that batman" bruuuuuuuuuuuuh XD
40:20 Its awesome how the most serious, sobering line in the movie is delivered by its most absurd character.
You need to watch all spider man's movies Tobey, Andrew, Tom
As much as i LOVE this movie 10/10, the second spiderman movie is 100x better than the first :D
ONLY the Tobey Maguire films do natural webs. Pretty much every version of Spider-Man across Movies, TV and Games make Wrist Webshooters and the Web Fluid Cartridges as ammo.
Sunflower by Post Malone was actually written for the soundtrack to this movie
This was reterly my first time watching this movie,it was really nice watching it with you guys.
Thanks for watching with us!
Fun fact: Before the Toby McGuire movie, there was never a Spider-Man that had natural web. It was always produced by some kind of wrist-mounted device.
There was one attempt at organic-web in the comics that I know of, but that's the only other time any Spider-Man ever has been able to produce their own web with their body.
Chris Pine nails his guest voice role as Peter Parker in Miles’s universe
You guys gotta watch Across The Multiverse right away while everything is still fresh in your minds.
First time watching this channel already love u guys
❤️🙏🏼🤩
I just get the best vibe when watching Spiderman into the spider verse it just give me the best vibe😊😊
so when you said he got the venom in him, i was so surprised by your wording because his power is called venom powers
one of my favorite movies for sure, I adore so many things in this movie.
❤ I’m so excited that your reacting to this finally 🎉
❤️❤️❤️
The Spider is from World 42 and it’s Black, Red, and White. The same colors of Miles Spider-Man Suit.
great movie: diverse, yet awesome. awesome storytelling and acting.
Door wide open, uncle takes out window. Dramatic effect?
Are you guys checking out the new XMen 97? Such a throw back to the original in animation style. 🔥
We’ve been thinking about reacting to X-men 97 but still figuring it out!
@@MeeshDeeReacts X Men 97 is definitely worth checking out. I thought it was just gonna be nostalgia bait, but the writing for Season 1 has been a legit emotional rollercoaster!
@@MeeshDeeReacts You also don't need to watch the older ones as new people can watch the recent one and be good too
@@loco_logic How is this the first time I hear of this?? Was it bad marketing? I feel like I always find out about these things way earlier lmao
Everyone's gonna tell you this, so might as well: at the start of the movie, Miles' frame rate is low. But as the movie progresses, his frame rate becomes the same as the other Spider-People.
This movie is pure AAAAARRRTTTTT OF ANIMAAAATIOONNNNNN!!! And btw, Hailee Steinfeld in this movie and Hailee Steinfeld in Arcane, another PIECE OF ARTWORK??? Yasssss!!! Gotta say though that I am biased and that my favourite animated movie as well as one of my favourite movies of all time is Prince of Egypt (1998), by Dreamworks, traditionally hand drawn 2d animation mixed with a bit of CGI, astounding ost and songs and very interesting story and characters( it’s about Moses but even non religious people can enjoy it). Yeah, total masterpiece. But this one and Arcane are also stunning!!
Sooo fire!! Also I LOVE prince of Egypt lol and the soundtrack is also 🔥🔥🔥
-D
Hailee fuckin Steinfeld as Gwen, Vi, and Kate Bishop is absolutely on top of the game right now. She’s also dating Josh Allen
🔥🔥🔥
Remember, this came out before Arcane, and pavwd the road for future stylized cg animation.
Its insane how perfect for this role jake johnson is for a middle aged peter.
OMG YES this might be one of my favorite movies ever as Spiderman means a lot to me (literally the first time I ever went to the cinema with my actual bf) so I'm so glad you guys decided to check it out 😭😭😭
So cute!! Love that story 🥹🙏🏼❤️ thanks for watching along!
One of the animators in this movie is the animator who did a short in Tales of Ba Sing Se in Avatar The Last Airbender.
My dude Tombstone FINALLY made his big screen debut. He's tat grey skinned, black leather wearing thug seen in Aunt Mae's home.
Can't wait for you both to watch the sequel!! It hits all the same notes but in a better way imo
I always go back and forth, but this is my favorite animated movie of all time. Mostly because I didn't think it would be this good but I saw it opening night and left teary-eyed.
🥹🥹 it’s just so good!
I was just thinking about finding reactions to these movies and this pops up lol
