I tried to learn guitar 3 times in my life but ended up quitting. During quarantine I discovered your lessons and I’ve been following them all along. I don’t think I’ll quit this time. Thank you for your patience and your dedication.

What made you quit in the past and what can you do to prevent it from happening again?
(you don't have to answer me I just want you to think about it) Good Luck! :)

@@LarsJ1977 Speaking as someone who has quit in the past (just started again a few days ago after 8 years), I quit because I was trying to run before I could walk. Instead of just learning the basics I was trying to get ahead with theory at the same time, thinking it would improve my playing almost immediately.
I'd get dissatisfied that I wasn't improving at a rate I would like and just assumed my brain was not musical.

Justin's lessons are brilliant. I've been playing for several years and learn something new every time I watch one of his videos.

@@LarsJ1977 Thanks for asking :) I thought about it today. Actually I wasn't self-disciplined enough to do all the practices and I've always wanted a systematic lesson to guide me. Justin's lessons are thoughtfully put together which makes me feel that I can get there if I follow his lessons. Plus in his videos he sympathizes the struggles that beginners have all along and makes me feel like I'm not the only one who struggles all the time.

Thank you very much for all the stuffs you have been sharing with us!
This is what I'm struggling when I learnt the song "Good Riddance" by Green Day without learning the basic grooving & strumming pattern first. Found this video without expecting and I can't explain how happy I am to get this clear. I have been leaving the song for a long while and I think it's time to return and take the challenge :).
I wish you all the best!

This is really helping me with the song California Dreaming. There is a push in it and I have been really struggling with it. For me, the hardest part of the song is the push and I needed more detail on the back of one of your previous videos on it. This is showing me the way! It's practically the same pattern, but more importantly.. the push is in the same place! Thanks Justin!

Thank you Justin. I would like that you would make videos teaching us how to play and sing. I know you have some videos there but maybe making videos creating songs, choosing keys, your lyrics with composition, different songs, maybe starting with the melody or a little riff, putting in practice all that you'd taught us. And make more videos singing, seeing what's the best that we could sing if we don't take singing lessons.Hehe A final result of all the lessons you've been giving us. Ty

I've just bought an electric Guitar. I've never had any experience with a guitar. Do I really need to buy an amp. Or do I buy it after a few months of training?

It's not very important as long as you can hear your guitar well. More important is that your guitar plays well (i.e. is set up well) and that you can tune the instrument
