We bought the cheapest Wagner brand paint sprayer on Amazon. We had tried the cheapest one we could find on amazon before... and it caught fire after the second use! Somewhat saddened (although not surprised as it sucked) we decided to up our game by trying out the cheapest "name brand" paint sprayer from Wagner that we could find.
Wagner has been in the paint sprayer business for a long time. Do they make a quality product...? yes.... is their cheapest one on amazon worth it? Stick with us and find out!

I stain my whole backyard fence I put together myself with it. Works best between gear 2-3 for staining.
Good advice. I haven’t tried to for stain. But it worked great with paint.
Did you mix it with thinner ,

I've got a similar fence staining project (120ft linear/6 ft height) - will be using Ready Seal and I've pretty much decided on the Wagner 2500 or 3500 (they're same except that the 2500 doesn't come with the extra nozzle for fine/detail finish); what kind of stain did you use? Ready Seal is oil-based but not as thick as usual oil-based products, but I'm also weighing using the SW water-based wood stain.

Pittsburgh ultra advanced semi-transparent stain and sealant 716 cedar natural tone.
Can ya narrow down which one you used? Wagner makes a bunch of models. I’m looking at a “Wagner control spray 250.”
For a few more dollars, get the 595, also known as the 3500 if you get it at Home Depot; the exact same machine. More features and a second spray attachment for smaller jobs. About $185

I would think that it would "gum up" the system. I would not recommend

Can I use this to spray paint metal cabinets, fence a small wall in garage, furniture etc..?? I can add any type of paint and mixers?

NOPE. This one works as advertised. We have been happy with this product.

No problem! We really like this one. It works great. We tried a cheap off brand one, and this one was way better. Definitely worth the few extra dollars.
What do I need to buy to clean it?
Depends on what your using for paint. If regular latex paint then just water.
