Kingfisher was one of the classiest airline in India, their service was really good and never disappointed their guests. If by chance you had faced any problem on board you could even contact their chairman, his email id was always shown during the introductory video which was played during takeoff. Sad to see it go :( EDIT- Just adding one more point to my comment that Mallya's incompetent nature was not solely responsible for the closure of the airline but the high operational costs and banks were also one of the major factors for the airline to go down . The sudden increase in the operational costs from 2009 onwards and no subsidies were also provided by the government. Now coming to the banks side when they were knowing about Mallya's declining economic condition still the banks were ready to provide loans to Vijay Mallya, even VM himself told about this (this was said during the last press meet of kingfisher airlines and Vijay Mallya was present too).So for this money laundering thing, he shouldn't be solely responsible (correct me If I go wrong)
Talking about Vistara being camera friendly or not, I guess it depends on the crew. 1) The crew on board my flight from DEL to BLR on board their 787-9 was really chill and didn't mind me taking videos or photos. 2) The crew on board TRV-DEL flight on another day were really rude and didn't allow taking pics even of the outside (during flight time). 3) The crew on board DEL-IXC (Flight on the same day as the previous one) were chill again and didn't mind much when people took photos.

My experiences with Vistara domestic flights have been rather pleasant. The best part is about priority luggage check in, priority is maintained which is important esp when you are taking a late night flight on way back home. No other Indian airline offers Entertainment services on domestic sector.
I found flying into Mumbai much easier than Delhi, three times I visited since the turn of the year and Mumbai is a walk in the park compared to the capital. So, as much as Josh dislikes PR stunts and maintains his blunt honesty in reviews, the end result could just end up the same in that airlines would just show preferential treatment to him to avoid being slammed hard. It isn't hard to imagine the Vistara crew onboard this flight behaving completely different if they knew Josh wasn't onboard. The fact that they already knew he was onboard and checking up on the flight with him (in economy class which is totally not something that would occur to the regular passenger) however, does diminish the reliability of the review... This is my 2 cents.
Mr Josh thanks for bringing me down to India, I can't wait to enjoy your indian flight experience, my love and regards to you and all the lovely people of India
Josh, not gonna lie, I was low-key happy to see Vistara not doing well service-wise. That’s because I am planning my own airline in the future (in all seriousness actually. It has been in the works since I was 11 and I’m 17 now). The country deserves an ACTUAL world class airline, not one which is trash in service with a good marketing team. Of course the market may change drastically in the coming decades when my company comes into existence and the competition from an airline, far superior in terms of hard product and more importantly, the soft product can challenge the likes of Vistara and Air India, whilst providing Indians and our guests from abroad with a better choice in the market. Considering the state of the Indian aviation sector, it could be an absolutely suicidal decision or a big success. I just need to have a few meetings with the Ambanis in Mumbai, IAG in Madrid and of course, Mr. Al Bakr in Doha to buy some A330neos, A350s, A321s and A220s and we’ll see how it goes 😂
I truly wish you the best, sir. But, I have no idea how you will be able to pull off such a feat, unless your company is supported by the government or some huge conglomerate, such as Cathay Pacific. For currently and especially in western cultures, where travelers are only interested in inexpensive flights and care less about service, I do not envision your airline receiving much financial support from passenger volume. But then, I am far from being a businessman. Nevertheless, "I call it like I see it." Notwithstanding my doubts, I do wish you the best. There is not much that I enjoy more than seeing someone succeed.
Josh , thanks for the great Video , for your future vids can you please give an overall rating out of 10 for that particular flight/trip , just to summarise your experience ( oh and btw Spicejet is getting 2 777's as a compensation from Boeing for the losses caused by the grounding of the MAX , so maybe they might start long haul services soon )
No. The 777s will likely be transferred to their cargo arm for cargo operations. Spice jet doesn’t have the capacity to run long haul flights to the us with low cost airline facilities.
you are the only airline critic i subscribe to. Why? Because you are much more objective and eloquent. You don’t have ridiculous headings like “Don’t Fly United” or “Avoid American” or “;Horrible Delta Flight”. Plus they are all reporting from either business or first. I very much like the fact that you fly coach a lot
I do understand the face shields a little bit. I'm certain you know India was one of the countries hardest hit by the pandemic, and it makes sense that an airline that wants to be seen as an advanced, fancy product would want you to wear as much PPA as they can convince you to wear.
I travel by vistara from Patna to Delhi the crew on the ground was bit rude but still I have fantastic experience on the air. The company needs to focus more on crew behaviour than the services they provide services which is almost equivalent to Singapore airlines.

It's true Air India 787 are in a bad condition I flew them three years ago and it felt like traveling in a broken plane. I remember a family holding their baby Infront of My emergency row seat and the baby peed all over the floor in front of my seat and the cabin crew were so sloppy about dealing with the urine on the floor in front of me. Also air India did not deliver my Kosher meal . Air travel definitely needs to get their act together. I'm glad I'm flying Vistara in two weeks time LHR to Atq hopefully we can win an upgrade to premium economy. #vistara #vistaraair #vistaraairlines #airindia #india
We were having, Asiatic, East West, Damania, modiluft, nepc, sahara, jetairways, air Deccan, paramount, vayudoot, indian airlines, alliance etc. Where some of the airline doing good in 90s
The Air India Dreamliners were ordered before 2007 and Vistara ordered them after 2017 so there's more than a decade gap between them so you really can't compare their hard product!
I do not intend to argue with you, but do have to make a point. The actual physical age of an aircraft is almost meaningless. Aircraft age is mostly determined by the number of takeoffs and landings it has. The reasoning is to large to discuss here, but you should research the rationale if you are truly interested. Each aircraft will go through a specific type of maintenance to ensure its airworthiness remains in an all but new condition. The interior maintenance and upgrades are the responsibility of the airline itself. If Air India's cabin conditions are less than satisfactory, it is totally the airline's fault and has nothing to do with the age of the aircraft. Anyway, I hope this helps you understand somewhat how things work when it comes to passengers' experience when flying an airline. Again, please do not take my comment as being provocative. Please consider it to be informative. I hope I helped.
@@Guerry-3 Nothing to argue here, the current state of Air india is due to the government ownership and the callous attitude of passengers traveling as well as the unaccountable staffs. Hopefully TATA will get it back to it's previous golden standards.
@@bombayaviator863 the aircraft should have been retrofit if dated, that’s how it goes for other airlines. Of course AI is a corrupt cesspit with funds being misused so we all know that can’t happen

The fact that they already knew he was onboard and checking up on the flight with him (in economy class which is totally not something that would occur to the regular passenger) however, does diminish the reliability of the review...
This is my 2 cents.
Honesty at its best. Keep up the good work. Love from India.♥️❤♥️
I love the spirit mate, keep dreaming big my friend :)
@@JoshCahill I look forward to having you onboard our A350-1000’s delivery flight from Tolouse to Mumbai, sometime in the 2030s 😁
yo true man when I first travelled in spicejet I told to myself to never fly in a plane
Hope you succeed and one day
We are of same age and we dream big
I truly wish you the best, sir. But, I have no idea how you will be able to pull off such a feat, unless your company is supported by the government or some huge conglomerate, such as Cathay Pacific. For currently and especially in western cultures, where travelers are only interested in inexpensive flights and care less about service, I do not envision your airline receiving much financial support from passenger volume. But then, I am far from being a businessman. Nevertheless, "I call it like I see it."
Notwithstanding my doubts, I do wish you the best. There is not much that I enjoy more than seeing someone succeed.
The pattern of Josh's Vistara videos:
1st: 👍 Good
2nd: 👎Bad
3rd: 🧐 Interesting
Keep up the good work
“Sam Chui PR Shitshow” beautiful golden words
"I received the whole Sam Chui PR shit show"
Hahahaha, good one!
Great to hear that you're in Sri Lanka right now. 🇱🇰 Welcome back!!!!
Spice jet, that word itself makes me laugh.
Yes to the US
No. The 777s will likely be transferred to their cargo arm for cargo operations. Spice jet doesn’t have the capacity to run long haul flights to the us with low cost airline facilities.
You are a very straightforward person Mr. Cahill and a good air travel vlogger. I enjoy to see your reviews especially Indian ones.
My fave india airflight is only 1...jet airways and no one else again thx for the vid Josh waiting for more vids
Well good news is jest airways is gonna come back with a new interior on their 777s
Great video as always cahil i love how real you are with every video I appreciate that:) keep up the good work👍
you are the only airline critic i subscribe to. Why? Because you are much more objective and eloquent. You don’t have ridiculous headings like “Don’t Fly United” or “Avoid American” or “;Horrible Delta Flight”. Plus they are all reporting from either business or first. I very much like the fact that you fly coach a lot
Tip to avoid getting recognized by an airline's staff - wear a fake moustache, mate. Works every time, and we'll enjoy it too.
RIP when they ask your BPass..
I do understand the face shields a little bit. I'm certain you know India was one of the countries hardest hit by the pandemic, and it makes sense that an airline that wants to be seen as an advanced, fancy product would want you to wear as much PPA as they can convince you to wear.
Cyrus Mistry be like wtf he called me the other individual 😂
Hi , So happy to have you back❤
💞 Amazing video 💞 Lots of love from India 🇮🇳
Keep up the good work ✈
Indian arrival procedures are insane and changeable at any time.
Loved the introduction before the vlog... Welcome to India 🙏
I travel by vistara from Patna to Delhi the crew on the ground was bit rude but still I have fantastic experience on the air. The company needs to focus more on crew behaviour than the services they provide services which is almost equivalent to Singapore airlines.
That's extremely disappointing to hear mate, because I have always had a good experience with them.
@@EtherealMisconduct yeah mate but it's like one day maybe coincidence. It may occur in India.🤣🤣
So amazing you had the opportunity to interview and meet the ceo and top manager at Qatar Airways #qatar #qatarairways #vistara #vistaraairlines #vistaraair #singaporeairlinea #singapore #doha
Anyone notice a "free bird" guitar solo .
i love how u describe India in ur intro of videos
soo nice of u josh
Your efforts make us smile.
Thank you Josh for this wonderful videos.
I loved the guy next to u. We need more next to u passengers that are this chill. Good video josh. Also u are a little annoying 😅 i still love u
What a nice guy..Seat mate. 👍 You should ask more customers their review or experience that "don't have a camera" on them or know who they are PR.
"the Sam Chui PR shit show" never a truer sentence spoken 👌👏
The Air India Dreamliners were ordered before 2007 and Vistara ordered them after 2017 so there's more than a decade gap between them so you really can't compare their hard product!
Bhai, bohot airlines jinke fleet 15-20 years purana hai, woh bhi maintain aur upgrade karke rakhte hai. Air India has been spoilt by all governmenrs
@@amishagarwal3151 Absolutely true, government is the reason of the current state of Air India which I agree 100%
United 789 also doesn't have a loo at back, only in middle for economy.
Low cost carriers are doing hell good in India. But for International market, India is yet not ready....
Air india is coming
Thanks for this video Josh. Quite helpful. I'll be flying PNQ-DED via DEL next month on the same airline. It will be my first time flying Vistara. Let's hope it turns out to be a good one 🤞.
Josh is too young to have experienced the joy of flying the long defunct Indian Airlines with their flight crew of grumpy aunties.
Glad you enjoyed your time in our country :))
no way, was that freebird at 7:30 ???
These westeners were given special treatment earlier..now they dont get any special treatment...With very low cost ticket how he will get all the facilities... In his country he wont get ticket as low as in India...
In fact in my country fares are even cheaper 😂🤦♂️
I had travelled from London to Delhi via Vistara and my experiance was better than Air India. Service and inflight entertainment is better in Vistara.
For me, nothing beats Indigo ...beside the gentle and friendly behaviour of the ground staff and In flight crew, (On the major routes and Airports at least )it is the punctuality rate which takes the cake..98%...
India! ❤️
Vistara was a great airline. But has declined a lot. Recently on Delhi - Lucknow I found that they did not serve Taj SATS sandwich anymore. Infact the sandwich did not even have a FSSAI stamp.
Because it is banned by Government.
I was recommended your latest Vistara in my utube feed.
Im now trying to watch the full series in order. Good stuff!
14:39 if anyone can see jodhpur in the map then i live there and really amazing to see my city in the map😂
Hey, love your videos, something you could try was making videos more often, because to be honest people deserve to watch you more...
With love from India.. 🥂🥂
Looks like they’ve done some renovating at Terminal 3. I haven’t been there in years but I don’t remember it having tile floors before
Nice flight review. The were so few films to watch although it's a quite long flight. Love the cabin, it's new and beautiful
'The full Sam Chui PR shitshow' 😂 THANK YOU!
When I heard "Freebird" as the boarding Music at 7:29, it reminded me of GTA: San Andreas.
I used to fly the DC-3 at GTA San Andreas
@@aslamnurfikri7640 yes, it's called the "NEVADA", in San Andreas. i was just flying it, lol.
@@adityahariharan581 Nevada is Juank Air, if am not wrong.
Josh. Interesting report.. The guy taking the row behind you is just doing the same thing you did on the Aeroflot flight :)
Naaa I got the crews permission to move on Aeroflot after all :)
Constructive critisism is always necessary for any service to improve,i am sure vistara takes it positively
00:4 At first i thought that was the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore then I realised it was Taj Mahal
…and then I told you that it is the Jama Mosque in Delhi 😅
Great to see your love for India
Lots of love from india keep it up 👍
Most of these crew members are overworked.
Treat them well too.
I can't wait for that Air Asia one. They have been messing around for years. Several reports were filed. Flying Beast was the biggest one cause he is a big TH-camr. I hope your one will finally get them on track
***Indeed, When it comes to beauty it is Dubai NOT Mumbai!***
Dubai's airport looks like a crowded Souk! Mumbai's airport might not have the size but it is so aesthetically pleasing
@@amishagarwal3151 hahaha that's actually funny.
YESSS FINALLY I HAVE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS ONE!!!
One tip for anyone flying an Indian airline flight that is not full or has empty rows take it and I mean take it or someone else is going to go ahead lay down flat on a long haul flight (for ppl who are not familiar with flying Indian airlines)
Hi Josh, I just realised I might have saw you at the airport. I wasn't sure if it was you, so I didn't approach.
I was there to drop of my mother at the airport at T3. (She was flying to Sri Lanka via Emirates) The boarding for that flight was next to Vistara's Check-in
Could I also ask what day were you flying to Delhi?
Welcome to India 🇮🇳 my friend 🙏
Loved your video Josh. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Loved it. x
Hey Josh I really appreciate your honest reviews. Tbh, i wouldn't wanna sit next to a vlogger. I'll be annoyed, my patience's very low lmao. However we indeed need people or vlogger like you so we can make better choices for our travels. Keep up the good work! 👍🏽
Appreciate your honest feedback... and trust me, you would barely notice me. Most of the flight I'm asleep and if I speak, I talk into the lav mic and you wouldn't be able to hear me. Have a great day!
"..the same Sam Chui shitshow.." lol i truly laughed my ass off at that!
Me too! Lol 😂 Sam is a joke. Josh is the real deal 👍
Hello Josh I’m really looking forward to these Indian flight reviews ! This vlog is a fantastic start 😀👍
As you state, a nice hard product. Can't believe that no tea or coffee is available on an international long haul service though!. Happy travels Josh
Vistara onboard experience has been on point every time, however, their ground staff can be very indifferent sometimes... especially in Delhi
Eagerly waiting for your Indian series with a flavour of enriched honesty 😄🤟 !
BTW The dreamliner also flies to Tokyo :)
Not anymore
Stunning video Josh lots of love from India 😊😊
I was not happy at all with the title of the video as it directly indicates it was a bad flight ( you cant just add ?) which was not the case, it might be pretentious but still as they knew you were coming, it was a good experience for you. It portrays a negative image of the flight.
Just so you know, the face shield was not Vistara’s decision. It was required by all airlines flying into India (at that time).
This is possibly The Josh Cahill video of the year. I remember commenting on one of your videos where people were constantly asking you to come to India and fly on the Vistara Dreamliner and saying that they need to chill out because this is not the right time XD(due to high COVID cases in India)
Also really looking forward to the Star Air video because I have never seen a Star Air aircraft in person and I don't know how their product looks like!
Now time the watch the video
Your the best youtuber and aviatior in the world by the way the for visiting my country which is India😀
I really liked my flight to Frankfurt - also used Air India - comparing both Vistara is by far better and can compete with many other airlines - the board entertainment is poor - everything else 😊
