My first time editing so much footage in 4K and I was wondering why everything was slow. I was about ready to throw my computer, but I found this tutorial yesterday and sheesh it did wonders! Thank you so much!
When you are ready to export you don't need to click the proxies off with the blue button, as the Gal says. Premiere will always use the full resolution files for export no matter how this button is toggled.
Yes. At 7:00 she also selects "full" in the Program Monitor before exporting & says so! These have nothing to do with the Export. It is extremely misleading.
I tried doing a 4K vlog once. Of course, I was under a time constraint. It was the most painful thing I've ever been through and I eventually ended up scrapping it and starting over in 1080. I might have to try again though armed with this. Thank you!

Very helpful. Shooting in 8K and trying to do some frame zooms and pans. This proxy system will make this easier to do! Looking for 4k and HD final output. Need the 8k to allow the frame zooming.

Come on,, if you need a laptop for 4k you can get it in 1.5k and if you need a desktop then for 1k

Without your little video I'd never found that little "Toggle Proxies" button! Thanks for that. Ideally it should be there by default @adobe
