  • Hello everyone and welcome back to a new video! In today's video we will start working on my 1981 Honda CB650 cafe racer build. This vintage Honda motorcycle was gifted to me on my birthday last year and I have had plans to build it into a cafe racer / brat style / scrambler build.
Unfortunately, one of the biggest issues with a 1981 honda cb650 ( specifically honda cb650 custom ) is that the frame has a weird "bend" in it. This makes it especially hard when trying to figure out how to mount a cafe racer seat hoop in preparation for a cafe racer style seat. Fabricating a diy cafe racer seat hoop / cafe racer frame hoop will be a bit tricky, but here at thebsrecord diy how to projects are our specialty. I think we can figure it out!
This vintage honda motorcycle build will be one of a kind, so make sure to subscribe and stay tuned! More content to come on this 1981 Honda CB650 cafe racer / vintage honda motorcycle build!

I just picked up an 81 Cb 650 custom as my first project bike to see what I can do with it. I'll definitely be following going forward. I have blown fork seals too so I'll know to watch of for those clips.

Do you know if the seat you bought will fit the Honda nighthawk cb650sc ??

    • @TheBSRecord

I'm not sure. I think the nighthawk used a different frame and gastank, so fitment is probably off a bit. Hope this helps!
