When the CD is inside a cardboard digipak, I use rice paper sleeves to protect the actual disc. They cost about £6 for 100. If you protect your digipaks with clear outer protective sleeves too, they will remain in pristine condition just like an LP cover.

I started out putting my digibooks and digipaks and card sleeves into protective plastic sleeves, now I even put my jewel cases in sleeves to keep em from getting scuffed. Replacement cases are getting harder to come by.

That's a good idea actually. Yeah there's a finite supply of cases now, as i can't imagine they producing many nowadays
