Cool collection based video, always go physical when you can with the music you love. As much as I like the more "vinyl" like presentation of digipaks they do end up fucking up more over time than jewel cases, so I end up switching the discs over to jewel cases or binders anyway.

I used to be a big fan of digipacks, but not anymore. If I have a choice I will always go jewel case.
The worst are the really thin ones which do not even have an inlay like e.g. some Nuclear Blast ones (Angra - Omni or Memoriam - Requiem for Mankind come to my mind). Or the ones with booklets attached to the case.

I like the digipaks a lot when they are made well. My biggest problem with cd's is wtf are they doing when it seems like you are gonna break the cd just to remove it? Some come out nice, but there needs to be a higher standard with the manufacturers of these things.

SoWN was def a superior album but long time fans weren't as receptive since Charlie wasn't on vocals. Also, the image of California behind the Tool CD was meant to show you the before and after of The Big One i.e. the major earthquake along the San Andreas fault that's supposedly inevitable.

I usually dont mind digi packs but I hate when they dont have the plastic holder for the cd I hate it when the cd is in a sleeve I'm on the side jewel cases but i think digi packs can be cool sometimes

Totally man. I’ve got so many cool looking vinyl records and I’d love to nerd out about them. It would be fun to do!

People don't like Sounds of White Noise because the band went away from thrash but the biggest reason is No Joey. I have always like it.

Great and interesting video! Lots of relatable stuff mentioned here when it comes to CDs and their shortcomings, lol. What is the name of that Star Wars themed Black Metal band? Couldn't catch it from the video, but I need that in my life.

I loathe digipacks too. I literally order any metal album in the Japanese edition just because their version is not a shitty digipack. Thier jewelcase and cd is also better dense quality, not cheap and flimsy. And on top of that of course, the Japanese edition typically has the bonus track(s).
