Thanks for sharing colin, and i do admire your determination on this ant. I think it must be a project for its own sake, and not so much for dx time on the air. Personally i would have simply put up a decent vertical ant, which i think would have closely matched the on air results within a S point or two, or i would have simply bought a hex and got on the air hi. Good luck with the final results, and i hope adter all your hard work, i can get you in the log. In comparison Pete M3KXZ/qrp got me tonight on 20m cw. Take care colin, congratulations on your work. 73. Ps : due to ill health i might have to leave the hobby , so lets hear you soon.
Hi Brian, this antenna is a challenge to build nicely and I like these challenges. I probably enjoy building antennas more than I do using them. We are all different. Thats a real shame if you have to have to give up the radio. I just dont have the time in the morings for radio. I do have a weekend to myself on the 27/27 July. Lets see what conditions are doing then 👍
Your hexbeam building videos are fantastic!
Thank you. Hope you have a go.
Great video colin job well done 👍🏽 73
Thanks 👍
Getting there.
Great video, following along as I am building my own 15-6 version of the Hexbeam.
That will eventually follow for me too after this one.
Nice job Colin.
Thanks Cal 👍

Very nicely done Colin, I have the mastrant in my cart nice to see actual size. I may also use the S hooks I think I used them an an early version.
It's well worth it Chuck. I know some of the Commercially built Hexbeams use this too.
Good night, Colin. Excelent video. Greeting 👍😀
Many thanks!
Save some time. Throw a wire in a tree. Get on the air and have fun. 73. De Michael N9XY.
Very true Michael. I do enjoy the designing and building more at times though.
