Congratulations Colin!
I admire your patience, I know I would’ve put coax on it and tried it out today.
You really did an excellent job from the beginning ideas to where you are today. I hope to work you once you have it up and running. 73 Steve
Too much other stuff to do. I needed to know everything was going to work ok.
Thanks for sharing Colin, obviously taking into account you have family items in the garden, so you have to prioritize things, so obviously all the kids stuff must go, radio always comes first mate hi hi. Time putting it up doesn't matter too much, its time on the air working dx I can't wait to see.
Well done mate 73.
Thanks mate. Get.a decent session soon using it.
So well thought out and executed Colin. Look forward to the next instalment. Regards Mike
Thanks Mike. Looking back its been a great project, even with all the frustration.
Really nicely designed, Colin! Well done - You have me tempted.
Go for it!
thank for showing how long it will take to put up and tear down .
Your welcome. I've seen many claims but not backed up with anything.
Excellent Collin. Thanks for sharing. Best regards 73 Sm3tek
Thanks Lasse 👍
Excellent work Colin. I’ve been looking forward to this video for a while.
Thanks, been a long time coming.
That’s a cracking job colin 👏👏
Thanks mate. Not heavy duty so need to access easily.
Great job Colin! I like the reels I did all of mine on one reel pretty fast compared to a winder.Need to get back to mine soon!
Your right. Much quicker and no chance of tangles. I have another idea for a different centre post. I've not seen one specifically how I imagine this one. Stay tuned.
Great work and build Colin. Not too sure if the size of a bag you need. Maybe a golf bag, gazebo bag. Just for ideas.
Fantastic job 👏🏽👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽

The Gazebo bag is a good shout. I haven't searched for one of those.
@@MM0OPXFieldRadio afternoon mate or even something like a Christmas tree bag 👍🏽

Thanks mate. No point though when you have a operating location like yours.
@@MM0OPXFieldRadio your kidding, even more of a reason, just been working the last hour on 15m working into Japan.
Cant wait to see what you get with that antenna, when you get bored send it up North hahahaha
Well, wish to by it:)
If only. I dont have the time or inclination. Its a good DIY project for anyone.
Colin, do you ever watch “Escape to the Country” on the BBC? Escape the small garden and give the kids their play area free from antennas and RF. lol. Another great video thanks! I am going to send you some TH-cam links to my QRP portable backyard station on lake Hartwell here in South Carolina. Enjoying some ARRL field day contacts this weekend. 73 Michael N9XY
I know it well Michael. My wife used to watch it all the time. A half acre field would be fine for me at the side of the house. Look forward to the links.
That's a nice build - well done.
Do you feel like a spider when assembling that thing? ; )
Never thought of myself like that but could be.
