At the end of last summer, facing my 64th birthday, a knee replacement, and possible prostate cancer, I went out and bought myself a Honda Navi. (I know, it’s not a Grom or even a real motorcycle.) That little bike has made such a change in my attitude about life! A ride after work or a weekend spent cruising around is guaranteed to lift my spirits and clear my head!
A Navi is definitely a real bike! Two wheel therapy! Ride on Brother.
Expectations lead to disappointments. Do not expect anything and you will not be disappointed. Only expect to control your actions and reactions. Wishing you and your family a happy and prosperous new year.
Optimism makes me vulnerable to disappointment.
Made me chuckle 😂👍
Test a 300 Vespa! The only problem is the other bikes will start being ignored... A fun, happy and engaging ride every time!
Very interested in one of those
Great video Dick, and sorry for you loss my friend
Thanks for your note.
You? Negative? Absolutely not. I’m honoured to know you and can honestly say that without fail you light up the room/ride. You have a can do attitude that’s not bravado or willy waving . Simply positive.
I’ve not enjoyed’23 and I know we are not alone in being disappointed at our lack of saddle time over recent months and the fug that brings.
Here’s to ‘24. I’m hoping for lots of those informal rides as well . I get it. Monkey does the same 😊
Best wishes for the new year to you and the family 😊😊😊
Thank you sir. The same to you and yours. Looking forward to more rides in the new year!
Feeling a little down? I recommend listening to "Happy Happy, Joy Joy" by Stinky Wizzleteats. Works every time.
I wouldn't say no to a Niken: too expensive in Thailand. Lovely little Grom: very cheap in Thailand.
Happy New Year. Nick
Commiseration on your losses bud, keep up the positivity,
Im hoping to give myself a new little bike in 2024. Wish me luck it happens as i keep promising myself!
I hope it works out. Let me know what you get when it happens.
The slopes of Everest are littered with the frozen corpses of optimists.
Don't see you as negative; more a realist with some interesting view points.
Doesn't the Enfield Classic 500 fill your informal riding niche???
I’ve got a Monkey 125 and a Bullet 500. You’d think they’d both do that thing but I find the Bullet just more of an occasion, an event. Can’t quite describe it properly. I get where Dick is coming from.
Looks like Somerset…. The slopes of all the highest peaks are littered with the corpses of those that were, perhaps, unprepared, lacking in the skills etc etc etc :: Passion is the antithesis of depression: Take care bike brother //^\\
You're too much more intelligent, or sensitive, or empathetic, or something, than those around you & rips in life smash you down. Go find an smarter, or wiser, or lonlier person to guide you or else, man, or else. Haha - ask me how I know....
