Lara is amazing! Definitely listen to Je Suis Malade from the same concert.
I saw her live and she made me feel every emotion known to a man. I was drained and could have slept for days after it lol. Her emotive abilities are so outwordly and her mastery over her voice is crazy. "Je suis malade" with eng.subs from the same concert is my suggestion for next react. I heard her sing this song live and I literaly sobbed.

Thank you for your reaction to this song by Lara. I agree with you on what you say about how she gives expression, vocally and her physical presence. It's all done with ease because she is totally in touch with the story, especially emotionally. If one should take one song at a time LARA followed by Dimash, it will become very clear to what extent she has influenced Dimash.

A long time ago I decided, iIF I could listen to only ONE song for the rest of my life - it would be Lara Fabians Adagio.

She is my female favourite singer ever, Dimash follow her a long time, they have lot things in common, multi-linguages, multi-instrumental , Igor Krutoy as compositor, song writer, and the italian songs, she is a vocal mastery, great breth control, make easy singing what easy is not.... we can say the same talking about Dimash. Lara gets to my soul like no one else. This is a love song to the powers of inspiration to not abandon her. She's not just a phenomenal singer she is a brilliant songwriter and composer. Her melodies are so complex and intricate without ever being showy. And she's an amazing human being. Thanks for a great reaction!

That's exactly how you say: Lara makes what she does look so natural that it seems kind of easy.

Lara Fabian ... where do I start, she is possibly one of the best female singers on the planet, when she penned the words and the music for Adagio she must have been struck by a stroke of genius.
The original music was written in the 19th century by Tomaso Andolini and the perfection of his original score is hard to not notice. It was done by Stefan Hauser ( of The 2 Cello's fame ) and the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra in 2017, you can find it on TH-cam, I highly recommend this video.

You can't help but smile and shake your head in wonder when you watch Lara perform. Mademoiselle Zhivago and Papillon are my 2 new favorite albums.
I just found a brand new, unopened copy of her Mademoiselle Zhivago project, including the concert, on Amazon.fr and got it in the mail two days ago. It makes me ridiculously happy! It's truly a phenomenal album and concert!

Today I was messaging a native French speaker who's English isn't good, so I ended up doing it all in French! Gutsy move, eh? LOL! I actually prefer Lara Fabian's version of Adagio over Dimash's. Dimash tends to sing to showcase the ranges of his voice rather than it being a joint showcase of voice and song.
For Lara it is not a version, she wrote it in Italian first and English after
Dimash’s Adagio was for a tough competition in a foreign country amongst professional singers with 30-40 years of experience on stage

Yes, Dimash tries to incorporate high notes in songs to show the range of his voice but by doing this Dimash misses what Lara brings to her version, passion, nuance and color to the song. Lara and the song compliment each other. Dimash's version doesn't do this. Again, this is my opinion.

I just heard on your channel her singing ‘Je Suis Malade’ & now this. I never heard of her or her music until today. I know this is from 2000 (Montreal, I think) and no disrespect to the great Celine Dion but in my opinion this beautiful lady, Lara Fabian has the most stunning beautiful haunting singing voice I’ve ever heard , yet in my 55 years. If I could only choose to listen to just 2 voices , female and male on a deserted island : Lara Fabian & Mario Lanza . 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️ I GOT TO BUY THIS CONCERT ON DVD 📀 IMMEDIATELY.

Totally nailed Lara as a singer.
Not talking about the obvious voice and breath control that any person able to hear would detect.
I am talking about sharing. Lara is not the only artist to do so, but she’s definitely all about sharing emotions, especially with her audience.
Also whenever she’s singing with other singers, and specifically not seasoned/experienced ones, Lara will always adjust her voice so she’s not taking over the other singer, because she wants to make her peers shine.
That’s her way of life in general apparently.
Also, at 4:00, "She’s not moving too much” and then at 5:30, Lara rocking her body. That was funny.
But Lara also loves to dance. You’ll find out on other videos.
And of course, the same face for each first viewer of that video at 5:00 when Lara is sustaining that note.

My favorite female vocalist of all time. I can’t vocal singers and coaches never heard of her before. She’s been performing for almost half century. She’s up there among the legends, ie Celine, Mariah, Streisand, Whitney , but what makes her superior is she can emote and belt in 12 languages!!!!! That’s not a misprint. for a rendition you MUST watch ( publicly or privately) . She wrote it and in the youtube “ Broken Vow” she initially explains how the inspiration came upon her. The rendition is from the same concert that she performed Adagio ( this is my favorite Lara Fabian concert of all time). It’s her final song and it brings me to tears every time I watch. It’s about betrayal but also about forgiveness. ( please click the one posted by marcopanji... this is the one where in the beginning she briefly explains how the inspiration for writing the song came about. ).

She is also buddy’s with Gabriel Henrique from Brazil. While, Gabriel had a brief stint on AGT, and he preformed Jacob Bank’s song: “Something Beautiful” on the show. I would love you to react to a live performance from him of “Something Beautiful” that he released upon his return & he has a copyright on this version. In this release he has a mirror plate type jacket. Also, Gabriel preformed in Bucharest Romania with a Symphony Orchestra & Choir. There are some world class performers where he was allowed 3 songs. “O Holy Night” , “O Happy Day”, and 1 other song that escapes me at the moment. Sorry. Maximus Records signed Gabriel strictly for his Christian Portuguese Music perhaps 2 years ago. The World has taken note & I feel like a parent almost. Gabriel flew his parent’s himself. Something else is happening with Gabriel. I recently discovered Lara myself, stunning voice with emotional performances.

Don’t know where you live but she’s in NYC 9/16... I’m thinking if driving from Pa. to see her- very rare to be in the US
There was a long time that after this song I felt sweaty. I recommend here always trying out Hiba Tawaji who sings perhaps a bit less well than Lara but her songs are often very romantic, full of emotion, imagination and colors. (´Khalas´ or ´Bghannilak Ya Watani´ are almost classical music)

this genre of music has traditionally not been my cup of tea, speaking of the torch song ouvre popularized by the likes of Celine, Whitney and Mariah. Lara has changed all of that for me, particularly her songs Adagio, Je Suis Malade, Caruso and Je T'aime. Whereas with the others it always felt to me like the song was there as a stage for those singer's particular vocal pyrotechnics, with Lara it's the other way around - her voice talent is there to service the song, not look at me, look at me! When I experience her singing, the thought that keeps running through my mind is there is a real Artist, emphasis on the capital A.

Cant help falling in love by celine dion 1993
One of my favorite female singers. It's just my opinion but I personally believe her career was intentionally derailed in America. (Remember her debut US hit "I will love again"?) She blew all the current singers at the time away, which meant the recording companies would lose money on their current investments like Celine Dion. Nothing against Dion, but I don't think the 2 could coexist in the industry at that time. If you listen to both, they can sound quite similar to each other. Another casualty was Terry Stafford sounding incredibly similar to Elvis Presley. Stafford disappeared quickly as well.
