Lara Fabian is THE master when it comes to using all techniques together to tell the story as written by the composer --- what makes her so special for me is that she allows, even encourages her audience to join her to travel into that journey of the story.
That was a great reaction and informative. Love it. Lara, our then young Queen, shows how it is done. I don't know what to say she is the my Favorite of all time. More Lara!!!!!!
@@AaliyahCapili Your singing sounds beautiful!! Study her, Dimash did. Most of the young generation of extremely talented singers dominating TH-cam right now list Lara as a, or the, key influence for them. I call them Lara's children. Lara is the Queen, long may she reign.
It's so beautiful to see you watching Lara Fabian sing. You are very young and this woman has a lot to give to young performers. I don't know anything about singing, but you have to watch his emotionality, his presence on stage and ESPECIALLY, his pronunciation of words, whether in French, English or Italian. It's so important for those listening to you to understand the words you sing. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Thank you from Montreal.
Thank you, Aaliyah for your wonderful reaction to Lara Fabian. I have been a fan of hers since the nineties. No matter how many times I hear her, I become emotional. Best of luck in your musical career.
More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 4 languages fluently (french, italian, english, spanish) and has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks. She often co-composes the music with the composer. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia). She was raised in both countries so she speaks both french and italian as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). in 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary and the song you just reviewed is from this concert ( and also Je Suis Malade). But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Asia where she became an absolute superstar thru her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace" used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera topped the charts for months. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban, … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA is now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs (that she performed originally ; she also wrote some of these) Out of my mind I can list: • Adagio, • Mademoiselle Hyde, • Know, • Love of tired swans, She also wrote the lyrics of his song « Your Love ». She covered « Love is like a dream » before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva) And they performed Ti Amo Cosi together with Aida Garafulina. This is a song that she performed originally with Dmitriy Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy who came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs: • Floor Jansen (Adagio) • Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime) • Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie) • Morissette Amon (Broken Vow) • Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace) • Cakra Khan (Broken Vow) • Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow) • Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade) • .... Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara. If you explore more of her songs, you will soon be hooked, I'm sure.
@@pierreraymond5202 yes Pierre indeed, and Barbra for the same song, and shirley bassey for adagio for instance. I mentioned these earlier. But I kept my list at the end focused on the new generation.

She didn't turn to Europe just because of that bs from american industry: she was already famous in francophone european countries since almost the beginning of her career and "Lara Fabian" (the English record, that has nothing to do with her debut albumbin French) was released in several non-francophone european countries and in Brazil (and probably in other places).
Hi. Lara's native languages are Italian and French. She speaks both since she was 3 years old. Then she learned English and Spanish when she was 10 years old. Currently she is able to speak and compose songs in Italian, French, English, Spanish fluently. But she is also able to have a little conversation in Russian, Portuguese (she evn co-wrote a song in Portuguese with perfect accent, as a Brazilian I can say, the song it's called "Meu Grande Amor", which means My greatest love), and Flemish (Flemish is the native language of her father, she was born in the Flemish part of Belgium country, her daddy if from there. But she was raised in Italy till her 5/6 years old. From 8 to 18 years old she attended the Brussels Royal Music Conservatory in Belgium. She learned how to sing, play piano, guitar, write and read music core, her teachers were Master in bel canto and opera, but she decided to focus in the pop style, even though she is able to sing in operatic style, and she uses her bel canto skills in her pop songs, with her perfect breath control and pasagios. She is able to hold C5 and D5 in chest voice for over 20 seconds, without strain the larynx. Vídeo bellow shows she singing in 12 languages. Thank you for one more reaction of Lara's. th-cam.com/video/MZ3GxqlPzwc/w-d-xo.html

Will you please react to Lara Fabian & Mario Frangoulis cover of Cole Porters So in Love from Kiss Me Kate? I would love to see your thoughts. Mario also have an amazing voice and is classically trained and has a beautiful cover of Knights in White Satin in Italian!
You can find Lara singing the aria "Addio del Passato" from Verdi's "La Traviata" on TH-cam. I like her live performance at: "Lara Fabian - Addio del passato ( Live - En toute intimité - HD 2003 )" Yes, many of her fans would indeed listen to her singing the congressional record...well, OK, maybe not that...but Piave's libretto for La Traviata is certainly much better :-) (and actually makes sense)
First of all don't take this as criticism or like i know better which i absolutely don't! Anyway you're one of few singers/vocal coaches/musicians who reacts to this one that doesn't comment the last long note. Most who reacts think the performance would have been even better if she had on the same note she started so to speak. This was just a reflection not saying what's right or wrong.
looking forward to your next Lara reaction. But also, how about checking out Angelina Jordan singing Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT 2020? I'd like to hear your opinion as a teenager. Hundreds of people react to her but none of them with your youthful perspective.
Can I make a request for a song? Have you heard of the Norwegian singer Sissel Kyrkjebø? She is the national treasure of Norway and has a unbelievable voice. Her voice can also be heard in the 1997 Titanic movie. Could you react to her performing "The Old Castle"? th-cam.com/video/wI8t1F1teDQ/w-d-xo.html

Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. However, a dispute with Sony on artistic direction, and the determination of Celine Dion's production team to block her progress in the US, essentially ended the plan. I remember that when that album was released, she was being presented as the next Celine Dion.
Following that BS, she focused back on Europe and found huge success, later extending into Eastern Europe, then Asia where she became an absolute superstar.
Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban, …
Many other top vocalists of today have covered her songs:
• Floor Jansen (Adagio)
• Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime)
• Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie)
• Morissette Amon (Broken Vow)
• Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace)
• Cakra Khan (Broken Vow)
• Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow)
• Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade)
• ....
Today, she is 52 yo, and quite active! 😊✌
Thanks so much for sharing and for all of your recommendations, I truly appreciate it. I will definitely check it out too💕♥️💕have a wonderful day💕
Added to what was said, she also sings in Russian and she also speaks Portuguese.

You can find Lara singing the aria "Addio del Passato" from Verdi's "La Traviata" on TH-cam.
I like her live performance at: "Lara Fabian - Addio del passato ( Live - En toute intimité - HD 2003 )"
Yes, many of her fans would indeed listen to her singing the congressional record...well, OK, maybe
not that...but Piave's libretto for La Traviata is certainly much better :-) (and actually makes sense)
Thanks so much for your recommendations, I will check it out too💕
Hello Andre, thanks so much for your recommendation, I truly appreciate it. I will check it out💕♥️💕have a nice day♥️
First of all don't take this as criticism or like i know better which i absolutely don't! Anyway you're one of few singers/vocal coaches/musicians who reacts to this one that doesn't comment the last long note. Most who reacts think the performance would have been even better if she had on the same note she started so to speak. This was just a reflection not saying what's right or wrong.
Oh thanks so much Mr. Daniel for sharing your reflection, much appreciated♥️♥️♥️
Nice :)
♥️♥️♥️
Thx for Your comment!
Thank you too💕

looking forward to your next Lara reaction.
