This is 100% live. You should watch more of her as you’ll see that she has excellent technical proficiency.. She has sung in 12 languages, and there are videos of her singing without the mic, which will give you the full picture of her vocal power and range. Also, Adagio is originally a classical piece composed by Albinoni. Lara wrote the lyrics to this version which Dimash covered. As far as I’m aware- they’re good friends ☺️ Anyway I enjoyed watching your reaction, and I’m now a new subscriber 😁

The original composition is Adagio in G Minor for Brass Ensamble. Lara originally wrote the lyrics in Italian. A live Italian version is so powerful as it is in the language of the composer.

Quant à ce « fameux » Dimash que je ne connaissais pas et dont j’entendais parler tout le temps, je l’ai écouté et en effet c’est un performer, un gymnaste de la voix, il en fait trop, je suis d’accord avec Sebcemoua ; il balance des notes dans tout les sens, il improvise constamment mais au bout du compte il ne véhicule aucune émotion et ça devient pénible au fil de la chanson.

Not really to compare a man and a woman as both these singers sing this song great. No need to disparage one singer over the other both are great and the composer of this song must think they both are great to sing his songs. Dimash and Lara have many more things in common rather than differences. Both took the same song and fashioned it to suit their voices as well as interpretation.
I am glad you 'discovered' her at last. I would recommend you to react to her Je Suis Malade, Caruso, You Are Not From Here, and Perdere Lamore from the same concert From Lara With Love. Her singing is not all about high notes but the message of the song that she delivers while performing will give you an experience of your life. she is that theatrical and believe me, you would be mesmerized as I was 10 years ago.

I loved that little puff exhalation at the end, and when she did that 3 head drop...drama. She was born in Belgium then lived in Canada, but she embraces her mother's Italian heritage. I love the velvety smooth, yet powerful voice. She is a star. I see fellow Canadian David Foster embraces her talent as well. It's exciting to see the contrast between Lara and Dimash styles. Pour information, Lara Fabian est bien Belge de naissance. Sa mère est italienne, aussi parle-t-elle couramment l'italien. Elle a immigré au Québec dans la vingtaine, et elle y a vécu de nombreuses années. C'est au Québec qu'elle a débuté sa carrière et qu'elle a percé, ce qui lui a ouvert les portes au niveau international. Elle est ensuite retourné vivre en Belgique.
Elle est l'une des artistes francophones ayant le plus de rayonnement à l'international... Outre tous les pays de la francophonie, où sa musique joue, elle est connue aux États-Unis (où avait lieu le spectacle duquel le vidéo auquel tu as réagit a été enregistré). I love seeing people react to this video, Je Suis Malade is also phenomenal. But people overlook that she wrote it, along with a version in Italian (her Mom is Italian). She calls herself a "songwriter with a voice". Not too many divas write their songs, let alone in multiple styles and languages.
Lara Fabian is classically trained. The melody of this song is Adagio in G Minor for Brass Ensamble. Lara wrote the lyrics first in Italian and then in English. Her performance is different than anyone else because in some ways it is HER song. Even though it is attributed to an Italian Classical composer, Lara is the first to give it human voice and words.
Lara did Adagio first then Dimash redid her song. They were both stunning. I wish they would sing together, would be Heaven on earth!

I really like your reaction videos and am now subscribed. Lara is, for me, the greatest songstress of my lifetime. I would like to add these few comments - first …. Lara WROTE this and many other songs she sings, therefore any other performance of this song is that performer's "VERSION" of this song as the writer has the vision of the creation performed. There is most assuredly "covers" which are preferable to listeners but those covers are "VERSIONS" of the original - second …. Dimash is a Devotee of Lara and in fact was in attendance at a Lara Fabian Concert I attended in Moscow while there on business several years ago, and in several interviews cites his love and admiration for her ( he is sublimely talented ) - third …. my cousin lives in Montreal and was an assistant engineer at the recording of this show … there were NO audio enhancements added whatsoever …. she is just that good. fourth ( on a personal note ) - I wonder just how popular she may have been with better management. Celine Dion had her husband Rene who was relentless in his management of here career; Lara didn't have the same advantage. Celine is a fabulous singer and I love her repertoire but Lara is technically nearly perfect and has better resonance. Please keep up the great videos ( maybe stopping the videos a little less ) and thanks for listening. P.S. if you want to watch a singing performance beyond any other watch her perform " je suis malade " recorded at this same concert...………….she LIVES the song !

Lara fabian is originally from Italy. Her parents emigrate to Belgium. The intro is not Oriental it comes from a region in Italy called Campania it's a very common technique in the tradition of Neapolitan singing.

Dimash has a very annoying thin supportless belts. His voice lacks support in general..and it get worse as he mix higher. Also he strains in normal tenor notes. The most overrated vocalist right now.
