So far, I have enjoyed this series a lot. This is now March 2023, so the trails have probably changed some. I did check the USGS gauge readings and they have been higher now that they were when you were there. Your comments are a great reference to use to compare readings in the future. On another subject, the Jeeps have handled to more technical parts better than the Toyotas in every instance. This is coming from a Toyota Sequoia owner. It's lifted 3" and has 33s and I run it because I sleep inn my vehicle and at 64, I just enjoy the security and the room. his still makes me want a 2012, or later Unlimited Rubicon.
purely awesome, IMO the best video so far of the 5 day series! Loved that you changed the music, it creates a more adequate ambiance to the technical routes.
Was that a valve stem on the 4 runner or side wall damage? if valve stem , one of those quick stem's could have been helpful. Y'all really did some technical stuff. I really like the map at the end showing the route. Thanks for sharing.
Just found your channel. Great stuff! Always enjoy seeing off-road adventures in other parts of the country. Mine features the Pacific Northwest. Now I need to catch-up on all your other vids! ❤️🐞
Luckily the glass was a easy fix - much better than body damage. I've probably run 80% of the trails in the Ozarks so I still have some more exploring to do.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures well that's cool that you still have places to explore. Really enjoying the channel and appreciate all the effort you put into it!
Not worried about the mudholes, but are there by-passes for the rockier sections? I will be there in a full-size pickup and some of those steps looked a little scary.
We ran this over Labor Day Weekend. It's normally dryer this time of year than what we experienced but heavy rains came through the week before. In the spring water levels would be higher than this. thanks!!
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Thank you. Our group wants to run this but would rather avoid the huge amounts of mud if possible. Do you have any recommendations on where to find routes to follow in the Ozarks or this particular route? Thanks, Joel
Another great place to stop is Mountain Fork Creek Falls, it's not too far off of Mountain Creek Rd on (FS94468A) and is a great place to swim and play around in the water. Also close to that is Sixty Foot Falls right off the trail and is pretty cool when the water is flowing good. If you're already in the area it's worth the stop.
Jared Hornberger yeah that’s an awesome spot. I love to camp there. Because it’s an out and back and it’s getting torn up by side by sides I didn’t want to include it on this route.
Both the roads into spy rock hollow have really gotten torn up over the years , being so close to Byrd’s, it’s literally worn out from the side by sides then the resulting erosion . I hope they leave both open , unlike the one in from the west from the pig trail. So was the northern end of Morgan mt. Rd blocked ? I know they were rebuilding a lot of it. Nice video. Thanks
Dave Lay yeah that area has gotten bad!! I was surprised how much it had changed since I was there last. The gates they had put in place a few years ago have now been removed which I thought was interesting. The northern part of Morgan Mtn was still closed from the massive mud slide. It’s much worse than I imagined and reminded me of avalanche debris I saw in Colorado. I’m really not sure if it’s repairable which is sad.
Matt I didn’t know it had a slide up there, it’s been a while since I’ve been through it . I bet they fix it like the slide off Richland that was so bad a few years ago. But that took a couple years to fix. I’m with you on the gates being removed I found that odd. I wonder if the SXS group had something to do with that ? If I remember right the southern gate had a opening for the 50” and under atv’s which very few sxs fit in that category anymore
I’ve got somewhat of a Frankenlift. Lol. 2.5” Skyjacker progressive springs and their M95 shocks, Rock Crawler adjustable front control arms, Synergy Track bar. I like it. Rides great!!
Samson Carr yes!! Watch my “Sketchiest Trail in the Ozarks” video. That one is west of White Rock. I really wanted to include White Rock in this series but just didn’t have the time.
josh catt that would be a big undertaking. It’s hard for the Ozarks because we don’t have long named trails. We just have shorter forest service roads.
I'm up in Southeast Missouri been off-roading all my life but just getting into running the trails in the National Forest. Are the trails you were on Forest Service Roads would they be on the visitor interactive map?
You may have said it and I didn't catch it. But is there a bypass for vehicles that may not be able to make the washout that you busted your window on?
Do most of those sticky spots have bypasses? I'm going in a couple weeks and I'll be alone. Gonna follow your GPX file from the west side where I'm coming in at.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures thank you! I have the new Bronco reserved and will be hitting this trail once I take delivery. Weather permitting. Seems like a lot of channels don't want to give locations on beautiful camping spots.

I did this trail 2 weeks ago. The spot just up from the Union School has gotten pretty rough! Made it in my 15 Jeep Wrangler

Thanks!! I changed the music on purpose so i'm glad it was noticed. LOL.
6:24 LOL! Keep up the great content! Can't wait to get out there.. maybe this fall.
😂😂 Thanks!!
I've never driven a Toyota offroad and after watching this video I doubt I ever will lol those down hill 3 wheeler spots can't be good for the heart
This episode had a high pucker factor for me. Enjoyed watching it! Again, I appreciate the advice you gave along the way.

Arkansas Offroad 👋🏼👋🏼
I know this place very well got my echo down to bear creek down a mule trail around 23:35 and my family has land around this area! Nice

I enjoyed this day!!

I like the technical stuff.
Brian Surdyke me too!!

OOAT Day 4 - 1 day on the trail, 3 days of cleaning the mud off your rig.
Matt Bleakley yep. That’s how it usually goes. 😂
Great off-roading
Christopher Martinez thanks.
This is soooooo cool
Thanks!!
That was a fun video to watch. Couple of cringing moments 😂 Thats a trail I would like to hit someday.
Michael Rowland it’s one of my favorites
Bummer on the door glass, but looked like some fun! Are there a lot of areas you haven't hit yet in the Ozarks or pretty much been on most trails???

Interested in what size tires you guys are running.....looks like everything from 33s to 37s but videos can be deceptive!
33s/34s on the Toyotas and 35s on the Jeeps.

Can you be more specific on the trail that broke your window?
Have you been on any good trails on the far west side of ozark national forest, close to the white rock mountain area?
Samson Carr yes!! Watch my “Sketchiest Trail in the Ozarks” video. That one is west of White Rock. I really wanted to include White Rock in this series but just didn’t have the time.

The2ndPatriot yes. There are bypasses around several obstacles on this trail.

The2ndPatriot thanks!!!
On day one I asked if I could get by with a leveled out Ram 1500 on 35s, you said yes. Still think so? If not, do these tough parts have a bypass?
Aleks Vicentic you’ll be fine. The harder parts have bypasses.
nice adventure! your map animation looks cool. what kind of plugin is that?
eburn71 thanks. It’s an app called Relive

If a mud hole is bad it will have a bypass. Be sure and have some means of recovery if you’re going alone. Have fun!!
Do most of these really technical spots have bypasses?...asking for a friend. lol.
Only a couple spots have bypasses. Mostly the mud holes.
Hey Matt.... Is this Fly Gay trail off of highway 23
whats the typical weather and trail conditions that can be expected for late august ?
High heat, high humidity, high bugs, low water. 😂

The camp site at 28:30 is it the one marked "camp and waterfall" on the Gaia gps info?

Freakin ads every 2.5 minutes. Very frustrating.
