I often think how fortunate I was to have had mike and the mad dog and Howard on 92.3 to get me through my work day. All the bullshit aside, these guys made radio great and I looked forward to hearing them everyday. As I little kid, I remember my old man listening to wfan.
Same, grew up to my dad listening to Mike and the Mad dog and Howard in the late 80s early 90s, when I got my first car it's what I used to listen too while all my friends all played music 😆
I miss the old show. Neither guy is anywhere near as good alone. I'd listen to Dog a little, but I just can't shell out money to listen to radio. Mike's the only choice for New Yorkers who don't want to pay.
For a guy with such an arrogance and ego, why is he giving his critics so much airtime? He should go to the Jim Rome school of arrogance and ego which says never acknowledge critics or if someone who leaves the show he is never to be mentioned/remembered again...

Or you could realize that Mike's pompous, arrogant attitude towards his listeners, his callers, his partner and his behind the scenes workers has finally caught up to him. When you get down to the short hairs, Chris and Mike really did not like each other on a personal level. Professionally, I believe they respected each other, but Mike always felt he was the bread and butter, no pun intended. Mike still makes more money than Chris to this day, but Chris is the more popular figure pop culture-wise and that does bother Mike. Name me the last time Mike was on Letterman. EXACTLY.
If russo is doing to so well then why is Sirius in financial trouble-yes the quality of the show has gone down, but Mike is still a Class Act more then I can say about Russo.
