Love that the driver had the guts to let it scream all the way to redline instead of short shifting every gear afraid of 'blowing the engine' or going too fast like a lot of other people do. As long as everything is up to temp, and you're being safe about it, just kick your foot on the throttle and hold on. That's what the rev-limiter is there for ;)
Honestly I get tired of people complaining about the interior, looks fine to me, it even has a hud. People just complain about everything nowadays

To put C6Z performance in perspective, the ZR1 has another 133 horsepower (638 vs. 505) and another 134 lb-ft torque (604 vs. 470) but lapped the Nurburgring only 3.05 seconds faster (7:19.63 vs. 7:22.68).
3 seconds is actually pretty huge...
@@mia1shooter I mean, considering the nurburgring has really long straights, I am quite impressed the car with way less hp was only 3 seconds off
@@mia1shooter it should be a bigger difference, driver have had something to do with it. 3 seconds isn't that much on a track of that size. It is alot on a normal GP track say though.
@@joefriesen5296 Have you ever driven the Nürburgring? I have, and three seconds is a big difference on that track. At an average speed of 96 miles per hour the C6ZR gaps the C6Z by about 422 feet. That's almost 1 and a quarter football fields. That's a huge difference, my guy. The C6ZR is one of the fastest cars ever made, and the C6Z was nipping at his heels. C6Z will go down in history as the best corvette ever made - mark my words!

The c6 z06 even today is still an amazing car. Few can beat it. On top of that it is a great platform to modify. You can either make a fast speed demon of a car or a track racing monster. =)
2005-2009 great years for cars
It's amazing how you buy one of these with low miles for under 40k. It's a performance bargain. Yeah the interior might be a little crappy but who gives a shit when you have a ls7 under the hood.

At least that interior has a nice design and styling, that's all I care about. Plus, thanks to parts sharing, if something breaks, I can get it from a cheaper Chevy. Underrated excellent. The truly formidable C6 Z06.

Lol ive been looking, am going to buy a 06 or 08 Z06 but the only price ranges ive seen are $38,000.00 to $45,000.00 with low mileage, which is only what im going to buy because its almost like a new car when you get them with only 10,000 miles on them. Like a lot of guys say its a good deal still for that engine you get.

Why does there sometimes drive someone with you? I'm guessing it's with the expensive dealer cars someone of the company will come with you, and in this case the car is from a person whose lending it to you?

SkrawnyJonny Huge price difference between a 10 year old Vette and a GTR. You cant really compete with the Vette at this price point with any other car.You can get a 10 year old vette with 400+ whp or a 15 year old Porsche 911 without a turbo that is only making 300 hp at the crank for about the same money.
But the gtr will never over heat or have its engine explode like the new corvette if we're talking new money.
Just saying the gtr is a new player. The vette has been around. You can't say that the gtr will not overheat. Besides it will probably start rusting before the engine blows
Actually the gtrs have been around since the 70s. And the came back in 90 with the r32. Then r 33 then r34 and now the current r35. can you explain how the gtr is " new to the game " and tell me about how unreliable the rb26 direct injection twin turbo rb26dett is. With it being around forever and everyone swapping them over ls engines. And tell me about the rust issues also I'm sure if you looked underneath a 25 year old r32 I'm sure it would have slight rust due to the age and time it was built and build materials but if I looked under earth a corvette. Malibu. Impala mustang it will be covered in rust in every part of the car. Sub frame. Diff. Control arms. Other suspension bits. But go America right ?

Hawk Performance HPS brake pads? That's a downgrade, as the HPS can't handle track duty. Not too bad a brake pad for a daily driver though.

The Corvette Z06, I like this Muscle. The SuperMuscle car ;) Have much power at the wheel for C6 Corvette. I would say not for drive it. Just the Viper, I would say no.

I am Canadian, and i am fan of Muscle cars, and is know te Corvette is Supercars but i say Super Muscle Cars cus, Corvette is a Muscle and very fast (my enlish is bad) so i said Super Muscle Cars..
Although it doesn't look bulky, it is an American muscle.

A lot of ppl talking about how wonderfully cheap these are... There's a reason. one being that the valve seats drop randomly at whatever mileage makes no difference. Result? Engine gets wrecked. Typical GM product. Get what u pay for.

Jesus christ, what were they thinking with this interior? I like this car but that overly cheap and, well, shit interior would stop me from buying it. Luckily the new corvettes are great from inside the car as well.

It's very functional though, speedometer and techometer can be read at a glance and the steering column doesn't obstruct.
