Great video, i love springers, got the HW97k, HW80k & AA TX200HC all superb i wouldn't swap them for any PCP
I have just added an HW30S to the collection and it's also a beauty :)
@@mattscountry363 The HW30 seems to have been largely overlooked by airgunners in the UK because it's smaller and not full (UK limit) power. It's actually a really nice and accurate little rifle, I like it so much I have two.

I have a HW97 and a HW100 bullpup PCP. The PCP was well over twice the initial cost of the springer and then I spent another £350 getting it tuned but if I'm shooting just for the joy of shooting it's always the springer I reach for. I have it set up with a fixed 10x44 MTC ViperPro and I can spend hours just popping at some little gongs at 30~40m. Nothing beats the PCP for pest control but it's actually really boring to shoot, the springer is a constant delight. Oh and THE single best way of improving your PCP shooting is an hour with a springer. (Got my eye on an Air Arms Pro Sport for my next big buy.)
Utterly agree.. shoot a springer often so you keep the skills . My mates are at the range RIGHT NOW doing exactly that with an HW95 and an HW57....lucky gits
@@mattscountry363 I'm even luckier, I have a 40m range set up in my garden so I can literally shoot from my back porch. My 97 is out there right now, I'm cooking tonight's curry but when there's five minutes I shoot a couple of fives at my target. Heaven.

BSAs are pretty good but, frankly, if you can't afford an Air Arms TX you get better value by going German and buying a Weihrauch.

Hi Jacob. In England Wales , no not for guns under 12 fy lb muzzle energy and also not for air pistols under 6 ft/lb. But Scotland does have a requirement for all of them to be licensed. Complex tbh . I cant drive north to Scotland with my Shotguns on my regular certificate, but taking my Airrifle to Scotland requires paperwork.
