Wow, you deserve a medal for bravery, courage, strength, resilience, and all other noble traits. I salute you. May your heart be filled with joy and head with comfort and peace. What a beautiful baby. He is blessed to have such an amazing mother. Bravo to you!
I love your channel. I just found it. I had a prolapsed cord with my twins, and it really is a medical emergency that if could be avoided, should be! Luckily I got taken care of right away and have healthy, thriving twins. Five years later and I just had an unmedicated VBAC. I also just turned 36, and surprisingly my family doesn't feel complete yet. You being pregnant at 44 and having a healthy child is amazing. I feel like possibly trying for a fourth and final child in another year after I turn 37 and your story reminds me not to give into the fear mongering should we decide to expand one more time. The journey to conceiving can be long and full of ups and downs as it took awhile to conceive our third child and there was heartbreak involved, but it is so well worth it in the end! Congrats on your 9th. You have a beautiful family.
My midwife has 12 children (1 at home with a midwife and 11 of them unassisted home births) and her last is 1 years old and she had him at 45. She may conceive again. We must NOT be afraid of bearing children and trusting our bodies.
You poor thing that sounded horrific! Both my labours have been traumatic I had to have the vontouse and stitches with my first. And they wanted to induce me with my twins but I saw my sister get induced with her baby and it was horrible to even watch so I ended up going for elective c section which also ended up with problems I lost far too much blood and was dipping in and out of consciousness I dont remember alot of it but I remember there was loads and loads of people in the room for what felt like an eternity and one of my little boys wasnt breathing properly and was taken to special care baby unit. It was all really scary but after 3 days both babies were together and healthy we had to stay in hospital for ages and they both needed jaundice treatment but once we came home we all thrived and everything was finally fine. I'm really glad to see your both healthy and on the mend again :) congratulations his name is beautiful xxx
All that waiting in the hospital would have sent my anxiety through the roof even without all the intervention. I take my hat off to you with how calmly you can talk about what you went through. I'm so glad you and baby are fine and can put it behind you now.. Ps william is a lovely classy traditional name xfrom Victoria x
It was very challenging to stay patient when they were taking so long to discharge me but I’ve kind of got used to it over the years 😏 I’m glad you like his name 🥰 I hope you’re enjoying your newborn too xx
I had an emergency csection with my twin boys after going into labour - I remember sitting on the table having a contraction and having to sit still so she could put the needle in. The things we do! William is gorgeous. I have a William, it’s my favourite boys name.
I feel absolutely inspired... love to all the kids ... I have 2 kids dream to have two more doing all the needful.. I will be 40 in oct feeling hopeful watch you and thankyou for sharing your experience..
Thank you for sharing! William is beautiful and so are you! I’m so sorry your delivery wasn’t what you’d hoped for, and for the disappointment you experienced
What a beautiful boy! It's an intense birth story. I thought it was going to end in a c section. Glad that didn't need to happen for you, and that he started breathing. I know this is a great old, but still... Congratulations
Thanks for sharing! And I’m sorry to hear that your experience was not an easy one and that you’re going through a hard recovery. I wish you and your family a lot of grace and that this will be turned into love. I think your story really shows a lot of the fears I also have about hospitals and medical interventions and just the way doctors often talk to us and make us fearful and disempowered. I hope everything went well with your little ones kidneys. Will stay tuned!
Wow! So traumatic. Thanks for sharing your story. I’m pregnant with number 10 and number 9 was an induction (with all the waiting around at the hospital as well) that was a bit traumatic overall (cord around neck, doctor pulling baby out, pulling blood clots out - with no epidural etc.) I was scared to get pregnant again because the last was so hard. This time I have done a lot of praying and prepping and trying to understand birth better and how to do it better (if possible). It’s just funny that I never got around to it till number 10! I’m due in 5 weeks so hoping for a better experience than last time.
It is funny how we keep on learning more with each pregnancy, and each labour teaches us a bit more. I wish you all the best with the birth of your tenth baby, stay calm and positive 💕 xx
I'm laughing at the placenta part. 😂 We just had our first son, after 5 girls, 6 days ago. I had an unmedicated labor with pitocin. Oh my my, worst pain of my life! I didnt expect it to be that bad but had to go along with it because I was already at 10CM and ready to push. I wasn't on pitocin but maybe 15 minutes before I was ready to push. My baby boy was my 2nd lightest baby too. He was 7 lbs. 4.5 ounces. My smallest baby (girl) was 6 lbs. 14 ounces. My baby boy is 6 lbs. 13 ounces right now. But he will gain it back with me exclusively breastfeeding. He spent 2 days in NICU so I wasnt able to nurse like I wanted to. But now that we are home I can cluster feed.
I'm so glad you are both well and things turned out beautifully ❤️ My first borns placenta shot out too 😅 it was an experience! He is absolutely beautiful. Well done Mumma xx much love to you all xx
Congratulations. Good to hear that your both OK now. What a long and hard labour you had. Such a beautiful boy.Have you watched A tribe of many, your birth stories are very similar. They also have a large family. Look forward to your next video. X
Congratulations, first and foremost! Though I dread to hear the second part. Poor you Alex, but you've done it! Wishing you all happiness and healing here on in X
oh, my goodness, I am so sorry to hear how challenging and uncomfortable your labor was. It really reminds me of one of my own emergency inductions, right to the point of baby being born sunny side up. Bless you, dear. I am so pleased to see little William safe and sound and so lovely
I hate people telling me to breathe while I’m labour 😬 I’m pretty sure I’ll be blue if I wasn’t blinking breathing 😂. I’m so so pleased that all went well in the end and don’t feel disappointed that it wasn’t how you had planned, I suffered from ptsd after one of my births because I got so hung up on the fact it wasn’t how I had planned. He is absolutely gorgeous and such a perfect name Xxx
@@largefamilymama I’m so relieved to hear that, take care and massive congratulations again ❤️. I have 8 weeks left till my section I’ve never had an epidural or spinal before so I’m incredibly anxious about that. Xxx
Wow. Anything that could happen happened hey? Wow. It sounds hard to get through and so different from what you wanted and what I would have wanted but you did it. Well done. William is so beautiful. I have fond memories of all my births, even the ones that weren't the way I would've hoped. I look forward to hearing about your postpartum time. Lots of love❤.
Hello William 💖 your birth sounded like my daughter with her first baby her womb collapsed on the baby and the midwife at to pull the baby out there was blood everywhere but both mum and baby where okay in the end I have been thinking about you so nice to see you and adorable William take care 💞💐🎉
Pitocin contractions are horrific as well as the process of being induced. My epidural Pitocin labor was more painful than my natural labor. It took me 18 hours for induction and it could have ended in c section which I didn’t realize at the time. It also caused stress to my baby. You were probably just having prodromal labor and would have had a wonderful home birth without any interventions if you had been left alone. So sorry you had to go through this. I am so thankful you and your husband felt calm. It is much best to stay calm.
watching you is making me feel so much better about being a first time mom at 36, thankfully everything turned out okay for you guys! He is so cute!
Congratulations!! May I encourage you some more.
I had my 5th at 36, 6th at 38, 7th at 39, 8th at 40, 🤭
I'm here hoping for #9 at 42 🙏🏾

Im sorry to hear about your experience! So brave. Thank god for modern medicine, we must never forget the dangers on unassisted pregnancy and birth
I think unassisted birthing is natural and shouldn’t be something to fear.
@@largefamilymamaI agree. I am FAR more concerned with modern medicine!
I never understood induced labour and the pain is soo bad unbearable compared to natural labour I thought I was going to die that's how bad it was
I know what you mean, it’s flipping agony 😬
Pitocin contractions are horrific as well as the process of being induced. My epidural Pitocin labor was more painful than my natural labor.
