this is the ZVEZDA 1 35 T90
The T-90 is a third-generation Russian battle tank that entered service in 1993. The tank is a modern variation of the T-72B and incorporates many features found on the T-80U. Originally called the T-72BU, but later renamed to T-90, it is an advanced tank in service with Russian Ground Forces and the Naval Infantry. The T-90 uses a 125 mm 2A46 smoothbore main gun, the 1A45T fire-control system, an upgraded engine, gunner's thermal sight. Standard protective measures include a blend of steel and composite armour, smoke grenade dischargers, Kontakt-5 explosive-reactive armour and the Shtora infrared ATGM jamming system. It was designed and built by Uralvagonzavod, in Nizhny Tagil, Russia. Since 2011, the Russian armed forces have ceased any further orders for the T-90, and are instead increasing their numbers of the T-14 Armata that began production in 2016 world of tanks

As much as it pains me to see great youtubers getting hammered with copyright I was glad to have this build brought back to my attention it's one of my favourites 👌 another showcase of your skills. I've had this kit in my stash for a good while after seeing you build it originally. The only other zvezda kit I have built is the t14 armata which was great.

Love the detail on this tank , some of the modern AFV's are a bit boring to build and paint ( Like stealth aircraft kits !) , but you certainly can't complain about lack of detail on the T90 !
Nice job, I'm around about at the same stage in my modeling, picking things up as I go along so watching your work turn out so well without all the artistry of those (amazing) other modelers on here really cheered me up! Keep on modeling!

Their t34s i had no issues with, the btr-80 however? Okay to put together, awful instructions.

This kit just needs a little TLC and a decent PE detail set. Good for the price, I picked this one up from a private seller who got a few at a model show last year from a vendor for $20 USD. Currently building Trumpy's T-90A MBT kit which has an insane parts count. Mainly the little PE disks that go on the radiation liner and the front, sides and the turret, which makes the build tedious and unnecessary. So far the Meng T-90A is my favorite kit of the T-90A kits to build.
I have the RC Henglong T90 in 1/16, very detailed aswell, and very realistic, but your job is awsome..

The online shops selling the kit have no pics of its parts, so i must thank you for the guide aswell as showing the kit bits :)
Have a weird idea..if im making a desert or mountain camo (havent decided which yet) ,think i can use bleached coffee for dust or pine pollen for sand ?
Pollen was sitting in alcohol for 4 months lol (tincture)
Coffee dust will sit for 7 days in bleach,then 3 in hydrogen peroxide to clean up.

Has anyone started producing detailed interiors for these kits, since the majority of these vehicles are seen fully open to elements with the upturned turret some distance away.

I was going to buy this kit but having seen this video its rather put me off I think the small pieces would be way beyond my eyesight & ability if I am honest it looks great & you did a great job as always Alex.

It depends on whT you're going for, if it is like a modern training scenario then none of that is necessary, if you're going for a war scenario, chipping and a few rust zones are needed, that's what i think anyways.

Wow, I have built a few Zvezda models but the details and plastic on this one looks horrible. When you zoom into that piece before the turret, it looked like one of those 1960's airfix kits. The bolt/rivet details looked like they were made of chocolate. It has vague looking circles that are really bad looking.
Thank you for the video and you did a great job of working it into a great representation of a T90, even if the kit wasn't much help.

Alex you painting very well but your gluit is drama:). Machin gun must be deep on that hole, laser covers are swaped left to right. Shtora system suspension is absolutelly wrong fited. Boty hatches are easy to OpenID And commander hatchback is moovable. Era armour must be above shtora suspension. Overall you need concentrate on manual more

What is the largest size of model you can buy?
1/16 is a large model, takes a load of paint to cover it and any mistake is amplified as its so large! 1/35 is plenty to be getting on with and to begin maybe 1/72 as it's not so many parts and good to get your skills kind of straightened out before going for it hard! Also the prices are miles apart, £150_£300 for 1/16 I've seen and £30_£130 for 1/35 compared to £15 _£25 for 1/72! Then it's paints and all your tools, unless your already modeling in which case I'm blabbering on!!!! Lol.

As long as you have fun doing it thats the important! Its easy to feel down looking at some "master builders videos" (not me) but i am still having fun at it! Thats what matters my friend... never give up! :)
I went through a low point in my life not too long ago and had some models stacked up and thought I'll never be making them again sad but a few years on I started making a 1/35 scale tank one day and the magic came back it made me relax and forget about other things and I'm still building them give it one more shot

This got to be one of the most frustrating model kits I ever made.
Great model but way to many parts for me. I don’t have the patience or hand steadiness to build such a great model.
i just finished an ESCI T72 1/35 it is was a night mare to puttogether. most of the time I was using filler and other times I just omitted parts. It is a bad mould and the diagrams are useless and do not match the model in the box as the arrows point to things that just are not there! I was going to buy Zvelda on account of them being Russian and their moulds better. The best moulds I have found are few and far between.

I thought the kit was fantastic when I built it in 2010, but it sits a bit too high so I dropped the suspension 3mm which requires some surgery to the link and length tracks
