  • The M4 Sherman, officially Medium Tank, M4, was the most widely used medium tank by the United States and Western Allies in World War II. The M4 Sherman proved to be reliable, relatively cheap to produce, and available in great numbers.

    Beautifully made tiny wonders. I am fond of making these tiny armour tanks and found your videos most knowledgeable. Thanks alot. Hope you will keep showing more of these small scale armour tanks.

      As I said, I have made this very same kit. But I had the same problem with the tracks being a bit short. Would you care to share with me your Plan B to solve this issue. Thanks a lot.😅

    Wonderful video! M4 sherman is one of my favourite tanks and I think you built and painted it perfectly. may I ask what thinner do you use for Tamiya xf colors for paintbrushing. I don't have the airbrush so I don't really know what ratio should I use. I bought Tamiya x20a thinner since I heard its really good to use with xf paints.

      Thank you very much! When I paintbrush Tamiya paints I usually use the Tamiya Paint Retarder for Acrylics. I put 1 drop of retarder for around 8 drops of paint. If you want to use the X20A thinner, I usually thin in a ratio of 2:1 (paint:thinner) for airbrushing and I use any leftover mixture to paintbrush any mistakes I made when detail painting. However, the mixture is very thin so paint brushing with it may take a few to several layers (depending on the color). Maybe a 4:1 ratio will work if you plan to paintbrush with it, I’m not 100% on this thou. I hope this helps!

      @@KumaModels Thanks a lot for the informative answer. I'm currently making Tamiya 1/700 Japanese troop and submarine transporters and this will help me a lot. The only thing I forgot to ask was if I can apply clean coat (i bought Mr. hobby semi-gloss clear coat) using only paintbrush. As I said I don't own airbrush so I'm afraid I cannot use washes without applying clear coat first.
      As for the ww2 ship you are currently making my guess would be any IJN light cruiser like Agano.

      Oh I see that’s cool! Hmmm, I think it will be difficult to apply the gloss coat using only a paintbrush. Mr. hobby has gloss, semi-gloss and flat top coats available in spray cans if you want to use them. For the ww2 ship I’ve already finished it, It was the Prinz Eugen!

    Is acrylic paint used in weathering track and lower hull?

      Yes I did use Acrylic paint for the weathering.

    how exactly did you make the tracks longer?

    • @KumaModels
      @KumaModels  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are similar to a rubber band so I just glued down part of the track to the wheels, then carefully stretched the remaining part then applied glue again.
