I feel like we also pick our tarot readers intuitively and we choose the one that will bring us the messages we need. 'Cause I definitely feel like I'm not comfortable with some readers tone of voice or how fast / slow they talk, hands movements, laughs, how they put words into sentences, what decorations they have on the table and so on, so on. That is not something you analyze consiously and base your decisions on, but something you pick up intuitively and decide if this reader is YOUR person or not. You are mine

I agree with using less cards! I saw a reader who literally used like 2/3 of the deck for one reading! I was like damn, can you really not tell what is going on yet? Haha And she was like “wow you have a lot of major arcana cards!” And i was like well yeah duh, 2/3 of the deck is on the table lol
I LOVE the drawing - it shows the loving care you believe in that supports a reading, of a reader and his/her guides (and maybe of the querents and their guides as well). Agree that everyone has a unique dictionary of signs and symbols!

I like to do it sometimes just because I don't actually know all of the meanings of the cards & sometimes it clarifies a few things to me. But overall I'm just lazy and it's often confusing x) And I really agree with everything you say, for learning in general ^^ Oh and I see justice with my wild unknown tarot deck as duality (there's a sword on the picture & two cats, one black and one white but they both have opposite eye colors) idk if thats even supposed to be part of the description. Wow. I've actually been holding back from reading. My psychic mom told me that I'm prophetic and that I'm clairvoyant like her, but I've just been scared and putting it off so much because I never have the time to master it. When i first started with Tarot, which i enjoy to do readings for fun, i was scared of doing my own readings because people said i shouldnt, that when i draw my own cars they will say what i want. The thing is, if i dont do my own readings, how will i learn how to read it? Its not like i have someone available all the time. So i just grab my cards and draw them for various reasons, even if i dont get a clear message, i can still understand what a card means.
I really needed to hear this. I’ve been reading for about 7 months and I started by studying the traditional RW meanings. As I have practiced more some of the traditional meanings don’t resonate with me. I will just trust my guides and say what’s on y heart. That just feels right to me, if I don’t then the reading feels forced. Thank you ❤️

Omg, Kino! Thank you so much for this! This is really helpful and it makes me feel more confident to learn how to read tarot. Right now I'm using playing cards so I can't read through imagery yet but I'll make the most of it until I can get my hands on a real tarot deck. Also, I agree with you about readings with a lot of cards. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed with how much cards a reader uses bcos I feel like the message won't be as concise as I want them to be but yeah.
