1. Don't use too many cards. Use 3 cards + 1 clarifier for each card 2. Use common sense but not too much. It's difficult to read for yourself. Be open, crazy shit can happen. Don't be too logical. Stay open minded. Ask your guides to show you cards for certain situations. 3. Don't assign only 1 meaning to a card. Cards have multiple meanings. 4. 1st thing that comes to your mind is usually the right meaning. 5. Ask something that's going to happen in near future. 6. Hypothetical readings.

@@karlasinc ahh you’re so welcome :)) i felt the exact same way when i was starting out a few months ago! i sort of found i was getting more and more familiar with the cards slowly as i did readings where i referred to websites :) also fully unsolicited advice, but!! i found it super helpful when i was first starting, to learn the main meanings of the four different suits (pentacles = career, money, endeavours and projects; cups = emotions, feelings, family, etc.) because they do help to guide you in your own memory and interpretation of the cards. sorry for the block of text ahaha good luck :’))

Just order the Angel deck tysm 😊 you were immensely helpful..For me I started with cards in my early 20's..but only ever read myself, as a person with psychic insight ( hate labels) find its a way for me to help maybe convey the messages I get in a different way. I read for myself as a way to think, and talk to my guided. Sometimes I don't get a thing, but when I am truly connected, there are so many messages. This Bias is the issue with self reading for me. And the mood, anxiety etc, of course. Sometimes I just take a picture, I put some notes about the question, so I can come back in a time, and understand the true meaning. Or come back to read them when I'm in another state of mind.

this is a modern interpretation which I learned from one of my favourite readers. it's because the 7 of swords is about deception or hiding, and the internet has to do with personas. no one is entirely themselves online and we cannot have all the information about somebody. now that i think about it this is similar to Neptune in astrology, it traditionally deals with deception/illusion but in more modern interpretations can take about social media, acting/cinema, etc.

I’m curious: if every time I receive a reading on any topic (job, home, family, love, karma, my day, my past life, literally anything) with any deck from any reader including myself, it seems to be the same group of cards in similar arrangements all clearly outlining a love situation I recently experienced - am I just unable to see anything else in the cards or can spirit actually just keep sending you the same message over and over again no matter what you ask if it’s something you’re needing to process?
I agree with pulling 2 to 3 tarot cards because less is more. I also agree with the fairy tarot by Radleigh Valentine as the best deck for beginners. 😉 👍
