This was one of my most requested videos and finally I have filmed a Tarot guide in a nutshell. No rambling, just straight forward information that hopefully will help you to guide yourself into the correct sources of information and speed up your learning.
I share my complete guide for all beginner witches (and anyone interested in card readings) who are learning this craft and want to get the results as fast as possible.

I suggest instead of googling the meanings, just sit with each card and write down how it makes you feel (sad, happy, stressed, etc.). Your intuition uses what you already know. If you do this it will stick with you way more than if you were to look it up!

This is a really good advice, but I think better for oracle cards. The tarot cards have standard meanings that have been the same for centuries. But the oracle cards differ from person to person and it’s more connected to the person who owns the deck 💜
this tip works better for oracle cards, you cant be as lenient with tarot cards when it comes to anything other than choosing which deck to get
@@larac.8281 the standard meanings have actually changed a whole lot over the centiries... tarot cards don't have meanings, they have possible Interpretations. It's good to know some of tbe "standard" interpretations but it's way more important to understand *how* to interpret tarot cards and how tbe cards communicate their messeges.
@@ultravioletpisces3666 this is what confuses me. I agree with what you said and this is how I have been using tarot, I listen to my feelings and my intuition first, I’m also an intuitive writer, so when I pull cards and write, I can write whole stories and the meaning of the same card can be so different in different readings. But then I watch a video somewhere on TH-cam where someone says “these witches on tiktok are so fake, they pull a Tower card and read it as “new exciting opportunities”” and I start doubting myself, which makes me want to switch to oracle cards for good and never get back to tarot again. Because I believe that what your intuition tells you is the right reading, and we all know what the Tower mean but why not also “new opportunities”? I love that!

that awkward moment when you did your own 3 card reading on "shall I move with this person" at the same time and your reading came out super dark and depressing
You should probably move on then, hopefully you feel happier especially if your cards said they made you feel sad or like dirt, good luck!

This is the most straightforward explanation I have seen yet. Thank you for sharing this with us. I have been practicing for a few months now but I feel like I'm not making as much progress as I would like. I get very overwhelmed and get scatter brain. I was getting wayyyyyy ahead of myself and doing an advanced spread; I really appreciate the 3 card spread suggestion. I cant wait to get started in my new journal 😊
I know you commented months ago but I just wanted to make suggestions for you! I was able to connect and read with my tarot deck within DAYS when I started. I watched Vincent Pitisci explanations of the cards using numbers and keywords and it helped SO MUCH! Also the book The Easiest Way to Learn the Tarot Ever by Dusty White is gold and comprises a bunch of daily exercises that are so so helpful! There are so many resources out there and I am still reading books but those two literally got me started and I recommend them to everyone. Vincent Pitisci also has books, and I really enjoyed Genius of the Tarot as well. Hope this helps and enjoy your tarot journey, it truly is a magical one!! oxoxoxox

Love this vid! Very openminded. Like there is no "right" way. Just do what feels good and learn the meanings. Love this. Ofc there are rules and stuff but it's not very like complex if you just use your intuition and feelings.

As someone who didn't start out with rider waite, and got RW later...
The rider waite deck should be every new reader's first deck. I really was able to learn the meaning with that deck, and it became my favorite decl
I started with rider waite deck and I didn’t feel connected with it at all. Didn’t find it pretty, didn’t feel called to work with it. Still have it because a lot of people on TH-cam say to start with it, but I almost never use it. I loved the Steampunk deck a lot and been working with it for years.
@@dashaborisova3084 so true. i don’t think there’s anything as the “right” tarot deck. wherever you are in your craft, a deck will never work unless you feel connected to it

In using my mom's tarot cards, and she recently started learning German and got them in German. I can peak some, but the description is in German, and it co fuses me.

I love my Rider Waite deck. I have 20+ decks now and its still my favourite and will probably always hold special meaning. There is something in the way Mary Hanson Roberts depicted each card that really speaks to your soul! I always get such clear messages with it. Loved your video!! Tfs♥
