We all get the meaning, because we know that the whole thing is "There but for the grace of God, go I." Sometime recently, I was watching tv and one of the actors was trying to decide between keeping something he had, or trying to get something a bit better. He said, "A bird in hand." Because we all know the ending is "...worth two in the bush." Anyway I just wanted to mention this stuff, because it looked like you were correcting what Eiran said as if it was wrong, but it's a technically valid and acceptable form of communication.

When I very first started reading tarot over 18 yrs ago a friend of mine told me to throw the book away. The book with all of those meanings. That was the best advise I ever got. What I did to learn the tarot was every morning before I started my day I pulled a card asking what would happen in my day. I would come home and write down what card I got and everyone that stuck out to me in that day. Even the stuff that didn’t really matter. I also went with what my gut was telling me about the meanings. This is what worked for me. I hope you are able to tap into your higher being

For those that don't fully understand what is being advised here, it is that your readings should be more instinctive and intuitive, rather than a simple "text book" interpretation. This works very well with runes, pendulums, and any means or devise that requires the user to "speak" for them. No, you can't just make something up, based on your own imagination. You do need a basic knowledge of what the card, rune, or symbol is generally accepted to mean. However, how, exactly, those pieces fit together will vary from one person to the other, and one situation to another. And that's even if the same sequence comes up for different people.
I've been reading meanings for a while, trying to remember and i feel like no cards mean the same thing. It's like everyone has a different interpretation of the same card. When you read the booklet that generally come with a deck, it's never the same description. Makes it very hard to learn.

I had a brain flash when I was watching a video of some card decks and one deck the book didn't say "meanings" it said, "possible interpretations." And I thought, the cards don't have (set) meanings. They have possible interpretations. It'd not like a code where 1=A. You can't just match the card to a meaning. You have to interpret it.
Valentine Lister Very much. I use to do readings a while back and I just interpreted what I saw and felt in the cards and usually was 99% accurate. I never read the card meanings at all. I’m just getting back into tarot now.
They do have set meanings, for tarot is created with a purpose of telling perticular story. But, in any picture so as in tarot, you can find and create possible interpretations.
I agree with you SO MUCH! When I started reading cards (more than 10years ago) I was a "natural" and I had the best readings without knowing the meanings behind the cards. As I started studying them, reading became more "rational" and that's the wrong way to do it. Divination is all about intuition!

When I was taught to read tarot almost 30 years ago, I was told to throw away the booklet that explained meanings and instead, view the image on the card as a scene I'm looking at through a window. What is the scene telling me? Apart from that, understanding the meaning of numbers has been beneficial.
I think that's a good idea because each artist design a deck with different inspiration and meaning. For example, my 10 of cups look a tad different from deck to deck, so I like to see what each card is trying to tell me as opposed to memorizing what 10 of cups mean in general. Plus what message are jumping out that day that the universe wants me to focus on? I believe it's important to lean into what my intuition in picking up on
The cool thing, is that you can apply this with pip cards too! Why are the pentacles placed that way? Which pentacle represents "you" (or the one being read), why are the other pentacles placed that way around them? I absolutely adore how well thought out tarot cards are.

I really like this because I've always seen the seven of swords differently than it is described. It seems everyone sees it as deceit or representing cheating. To me, it looks more like grabbing what resources you can before it's too late; as though, if your house suddenly caught fire and you had to run out with all that you can carry while looking back at what you had to leave behind. I just got my first tarot deck ("The Essential Tarot" by Chloé Zarka Grinsnir) and I saw a review for the deck that said "Don't read the book that comes with it for the card meanings, get a journal and shuffle the cards and each card that comes out write down the meaning you feel from it in the journal before reading about the meaning of the card online/in the book"... and I believe that's a great advice because it makes you trust your intuition a lot more and you don't have to force external influences and ideas to fit into how you see the cards.. It's better to look at each card and write down what you think of it and feel from it and letting that be your definition for it first then researching on the cards after to just help with some clarity.. I agree with your video!

The lady in the video recommended instead of learning the cards - take the major arcana and just take a look at each card - write down which details you see and what you associate with the card and the symbols in it. In the next step you are called to check which cards of the majors you already experienced in your life - as it is the fools journey. Next step is to take a journey with each card - that means really meditate with the card. For example go into the Fool card - meet him where he is, visualizing you are in the card with him. Walk with him. Ask him who he is and what he has to say. So journey with each card. This honestly helped me a lot to get a better understanding of the cards and the archetypal symbols in it. So, tarot is a symbolic medium for hearts and minds to meet and open up. An art form where the artist mirrors some aspect the other may not see or be able to express. I had a reading when i was 23 and looking to leave the armed forces. That reading stays with me still. totally agree with you. When I first wanted to learn there were so many meanings for cards I just didnt think all of them could be right. Now I use symbology and numerology of the cards to divine what each mean and as you say my readings are accurate and I put that down to learning by not learning the meanings 🙏🙏

Anyhow, you can choose any verse in the Bible and claim it supports a belief (a narrative). Let’s remember that the council put together by Constantine to piece the Bible together... were Romans... the same people responsible for murdering Yeshua. Romans put the Bible together to control the masses, not to teach true spiritual and divine connection. For example, If you are participating in communion, you are participating in a sacrificial blood ritual. All is not what it seems and truth is stranger than fiction. Judgment and fear come from the lower realms, and supporting that narrative, you are pushing a dark agenda.
These hardcore Christians didnt even realize that they practiced or copied witchcraft rituals from communion, even lighting a candle for a birthday wish. 🙄

I had a brain flash when I was watching a video of some card decks and one deck the book didn't say "meanings" it said, "possible interpretations." And I thought, the cards don't have (set) meanings. They have possible interpretations. It'd not like a code where 1=A. You can't just match the card to a meaning. You have to interpret it.

Valentine Lister Very much. I use to do readings a while back and I just interpreted what I saw and felt in the cards and usually was 99% accurate. I never read the card meanings at all. I’m just getting back into tarot now.

I agree with you SO MUCH! When I started reading cards (more than 10years ago) I was a "natural" and I had the best readings without knowing the meanings behind the cards. As I started studying them, reading became more "rational" and that's the wrong way to do it. Divination is all about intuition!

When I was taught to read tarot almost 30 years ago, I was told to throw away the booklet that explained meanings and instead, view the image on the card as a scene I'm looking at through a window. What is the scene telling me? Apart from that, understanding the meaning of numbers has been beneficial.
I think that's a good idea because each artist design a deck with different inspiration and meaning. For example, my 10 of cups look a tad different from deck to deck, so I like to see what each card is trying to tell me as opposed to memorizing what 10 of cups mean in general. Plus what message are jumping out that day that the universe wants me to focus on? I believe it's important to lean into what my intuition in picking up on

Why are the pentacles placed that way? Which pentacle represents "you" (or the one being read), why are the other pentacles placed that way around them?

Police were called to Sinead’s aid after she posted a similarly emotional post over the weekend, with the 48-year-old star claiming that she had checked into a hotel in Ireland under a different name and had taken an overdose.

I’ve been interested in Tarot for quite a while now and this guy is the most sensible articulate voice on the subject I’ve ever heard.
I really like this because I've always seen the seven of swords differently than it is described. It seems everyone sees it as deceit or representing cheating. To me, it looks more like grabbing what resources you can before it's too late; as though, if your house suddenly caught fire and you had to run out with all that you can carry while looking back at what you had to leave behind.

I just got my first tarot deck ("The Essential Tarot" by Chloé Zarka Grinsnir) and I saw a review for the deck that said "Don't read the book that comes with it for the card meanings, get a journal and shuffle the cards and each card that comes out write down the meaning you feel from it in the journal before reading about the meaning of the card online/in the book"... and I believe that's a great advice because it makes you trust your intuition a lot more and you don't have to force external influences and ideas to fit into how you see the cards.. It's better to look at each card and write down what you think of it and feel from it and letting that be your definition for it first then researching on the cards after to just help with some clarity.. I agree with your video!
I’ve been learning to read tarot and have been struggling to learn the meanings. When I see the cards, I don’t resonate with the technical meanings of the cards as defined in the little booklets that come with it.

Eli - Not sure it's a synchronicity so much as your computer/phone has been listening to you. For example if you mention/write/listen to a topic around one of your gadgets you'll notice that topic will magically appear later on your phone/computer. It's called Big Brother and it's got you taped.

I also once watched a TH-cam class about Tarot (in Germany language). It was a bit similar to what you mention here.
The lady in the video recommended instead of learning the cards - take the major arcana and just take a look at each card - write down which details you see and what you associate with the card and the symbols in it. In the next step you are called to check which cards of the majors you already experienced in your life - as it is the fools journey. Next step is to take a journey with each card - that means really meditate with the card. For example go into the Fool card - meet him where he is, visualizing you are in the card with him. Walk with him. Ask him who he is and what he has to say. So journey with each card.
This honestly helped me a lot to get a better understanding of the cards and the archetypal symbols in it.

John you are a liberator from the machine of mechanical mind. A violet in the shade of a great forest, I see the sun shine on your sharing. So, tarot is a symbolic medium for hearts and minds to meet and open up. An art form where the artist mirrors some aspect the other may not see or be able to express. I had a reading when i was 23 and looking to leave the armed forces. That reading stays with me still. I look forward to watching more of your videos and perhaps turning my daily personal readings (20 yrs and still using the book) into something shared.

Although I learned the base meanings of cards and I learned to look at the picture details or what sticks out / intuitive readings is the way I prefer - he’s so on point.
For me the emperor card is "everybody wants to rule the world" and "Vida la Vida" (that was when I ruled the world)

Now I use symbology and numerology of the cards to divine what each mean and as you say my readings are accurate and I put that down to learning by not learning the meanings 🙏🙏

That is truly best way to read a spread, that's where I am right now with mixing my intuition with the essence of the card and it's relationship to the question and the cards next to them if! The card needs to be combined. Love this approach

1stly you're clearly uneducated on this topic fom what I am seeing. You're basing things from what you are told or taught to immediately think of instead of doing actual research about the topic. You're basing things from uneducated people that are teaching others.
But secondly? It's ironic, really. You say to not imitate the detestable ways of the nations, and yet that's what you're doing. The entanglement with the ways of seemingly immediate judgement is understandable, as it's passed down generation by generation. Seeing you're entangled with misunderstandings you may not correct, I'll forgive you on that.
You shouldn't judge by the book's cover or what other people say, but instead understand the book you're looking at and read it. I don't need to quote the Bible on these things, but if you wanted I can give you a good session within this comment section.
I mean, respecting others beliefs and understanding them, isn't that what God wanted us to do? Loving and understanding each and every living being, and letting them do what they want as long they won't harm others?
Those actions you speak of with witches... I'm not a college teacher so I won't dive too deep into that, but think of it this way: You know now that God hates the fact that we would wish bad upon others and kill others for the sake of their own gain. They wanted that specific part practice gone, it wasn't part of it in anyway as it just some added words by the devil that they others fell for. And it's more or less gone, so what's there more to correct?
God doesn't need compliments to see if someone is a good person. They'll send the good people to heaven, not the ones who try to add the sugarcoating to the one they're following/praising.
