There is a mod named Serene Seasons which adds Spring(Normal), Summer(Normal), Autumn(Turns leaves orange), and Winter (basically makes the biomes snowy.)
I think a nature themed update surrounding this would be nice. Things like some new animals and ambient sounds would be nice. They hesitate on big updates because it could complicate the game, but this update would be mostly ambience and I think people would love that.
I would actually like more food sources that isn’t from animals... or that if you could bake more than just cake and bread... makes farming more fun I think

The refusal of vertical slabs is so dumb. Also they don't have to add a ton of furniture but the least they could do is add a simple table and chair in the style of the doors and trapdoors. Mojang really be like "you want this? Too bad."

I think if a red dragon would be added, it'd go great in a Nether Fortress. Like in a secret room where it's trapped and protected by wither skeletons and blazes. It'd make them so much less boring.

I think that this video sums up how much Minecraft has changed on the dev team. They don’t want death in their game, but they allow you to feed cookies to parrots and kill them. They also think spiders crawling up a wall is scary, and although it may be creepy, it doesn’t give me a heart attack like the Warden does. Anyways, I thought that this was a really interesting video, I hope that Kasser is able to gain a larger audience and make more content for us to enjoy!

Ok taking anvils from villages is like taking a brewing stand from villages, plus anvils aren’t usable properly until you get enchantment tables and its the same with potion making, not functional until nether. Mojang needs to rethink some things. Also no voice chat is a no for me, we have discord for that.
It sounds like Mojang hates the game they work on. They’re so annoying with their logic and if we all protested or made a petition they’d still ignore our pleas.
I like to think to add dragons, they could create a new dungeon like an abandoned castle or a dragon lair in caves. The dragons that spawn in the dragon lair could be untamable and hostile, but killing it would leave behind a dragon egg which would hatch into a tamale baby dragon.
I honestly think that furniture is better suited for mods/addons. I kind of understand how adding furniture would lead to lack of creativity. If they add furniture, most people would use those instead of thinking outside of the box. I've seen a lot of furniture builds in Minecraft using the limited blocks that the game has to offer, and they are more creative and innovative than those modded/addon furniture. Same goes to colored wood since it would lead to a lot of players using 1 type of wood and would care less about biomes. Limitations has its strengths and weaknesses, and I have to agree with that. Yeah, it would mean less variety but it opens to a lot of innovative and out side of the box ideas, improving your creativity and imagination. That's why I would still use stairs, signs, doors, item frames, and trapdoors to make chairs since I find it to me more creative and would test my innovative skills and creativity rather than a preset furniture. But that's my opinion and thought process. I'm sure I'm not pleasing everyone but I welcome you to refute me.

I will repeat it a thousand times because you only see the bad part removing the fireflies prematurely was due to 2 factors: + were not officially in the snapshots + there was a group of people who reported the firefly issue to Mojang and they agreed so comparing fireflies with parrots is quite silly since they are different cases, the parrots were already added but the change was for the same reason, they were informed that parrots cannot eat chocolate cookies, but since they are already added they changed it for seeds, with the fireflies not being added to the game because the change was to directly remove them

I still think the firefly cancellation over that was an excuse. It was cancelled because of the lag caused by the entity and lighting updates it caused.
I was thinking about that Red Dragon Idea: why not make it a rare, tamable mob that comes in dozens of colorations? The Dragon would look similar to the Ender Dragon, except it would walk and fly in either form of travel. It could also have numerous melee attacks, like a bite or a swipe attack. The latter would be swiping entities with its claws, dealing a massive amount of damage. It would be a really powerful mount to add to the game, but that's exactly why I think it should be a very rare one. Just like the Dragons we're used to, these tamable Dragons would breathe fire.
Regarding pigman, it's actually a suggestion by a user named Micleee which Notch liked and rewarded the user with Bacon cape (which was taken away because other players wanted personal capes), Pigman doesn't get implemented as the idea got replaced by Villagers which was added in Beta 1.9. Tbh, you should've done a better research with these instead of giving an incomplete description and history.
P.S: Also the Pigman was not related to the failed pig which became the Creeper, like at all. HOW ON EARTH DID YOU MESS UP YOUR RESEARCH THIS BAD?? WITH CHATGPT??
Mining helmet will never be added to the game due to it being too modern while there's a spelunker armor in minecraft dungeons which literally consists of a helmet with a candle sticked onto it

Well ideas, and just possibilities which surely are await by many (though to use it to it's fullest we would have to get possibility of placing objects with half a block ofset from the grid - like double door at the middle of building which has odd weidth or to simplyfy - in the middle of 3x3 tunel (either only on horyzontal line or even alo vertical). Frankly I even once had an idea to but some kind of elven wooden gate... but sideways to make a perfect demonstration of how well the vertical slabs could work (didn't do it yet though)

Don’t forget about sharks which they didn’t want to add because they don’t want real life hostile mobs. Which I kind of understand but you got silverfish which are hostile in game but not in real life (I know there are also spiders but I think it’s because they are actually mutants due to their size. I know bees are also big but spiders are big enough to have skeletons ride on them). You also got the polar bears which first of all are the most dangerous animals in real life. And second, are actually hostile when they are near their cubs. My base is near a snow biome and almost every time I go in there I’ve seen polar bears with their cubs almost all the time. One time I had to transport a villager and have the time I’ve been attacked by polar bears. It’s so annoying. Anyways, I would really love to add sharks into the game. They would look nice in the ocean. They don’t need to be hostile or anything because real life sharks are not hostile like in movies. They only attack when they are hurt or smell blood. So they could only attack when provoked. Or they can add a sea monster like creature in the game that looks like a shark.

They are wolves, not dogs. There's a difference. Through evolution, decades of wolves feed by food made by humans they got soft, not adapted to live in wild to the point of todays dogs.

Apparently hyenas can eat bones, but tbf mojang is very inconsistent with what they choose and don’t choose to add to the game, fireflies were removed as there’re harmful to frogs but not lava cubes? Spiders climbing is too scary but wardens, withers, endermen etc aren’t? Vertical slaps would limit creativity, proceeds to add wall, half slab, stair variants to most building blocks
Yeah, minecraft looks to be set in the 16 or 17 hundreds, they had mining helmets then. Even if it was just a normal helmet with a tourch on it

Them removing fireflies still makes me mad and it felt like they were grasping for straws just to appease a handful of people.
Ok taking anvils from villages is like taking a brewing stand from villages, plus anvils aren’t usable properly until you get enchantment tables and its the same with potion making, not functional until nether. Mojang needs to rethink some things. Also no voice chat is a no for me, we have discord for that.
You know for a fantasy “medieval” game like Minecraft it still baffles me that we don’t have access to magic or spells in the game.

A lot of this makes me mad at the developers for not adding some of this stuff.
It sounds like Mojang hates the game they work on. They’re so annoying with their logic and if we all protested or made a petition they’d still ignore our pleas.
I like to think to add dragons, they could create a new dungeon like an abandoned castle or a dragon lair in caves. The dragons that spawn in the dragon lair could be untamable and hostile, but killing it would leave behind a dragon egg which would hatch into a tamale baby dragon.
Frogs eating fireflies is too much, but frogs eating magmablocks is somehow ok???

I honestly think that furniture is better suited for mods/addons. I kind of understand how adding furniture would lead to lack of creativity.
If they add furniture, most people would use those instead of thinking outside of the box. I've seen a lot of furniture builds in Minecraft using the limited blocks that the game has to offer, and they are more creative and innovative than those modded/addon furniture.
Same goes to colored wood since it would lead to a lot of players using 1 type of wood and would care less about biomes.
Limitations has its strengths and weaknesses, and I have to agree with that. Yeah, it would mean less variety but it opens to a lot of innovative and out side of the box ideas, improving your creativity and imagination.
That's why I would still use stairs, signs, doors, item frames, and trapdoors to make chairs since I find it to me more creative and would test my innovative skills and creativity rather than a preset furniture.
But that's my opinion and thought process. I'm sure I'm not pleasing everyone but I welcome you to refute me.

Geniuenly feels like Mojang has a lot of weird and kind of silly rules tbh. Their excuse for not having painted wood is that they just don't want to do all the slabs and stairs for some reason, their reasoning for no sideways slabs is "it limits creativity", and their reasoning for not having handheld torch is probably just "erm we want you to place torches"
Oh so we have a dragon, undead pig creatures, flying things that cry and shoot fire, you can avoid fall damage on a horse or in a boat but fireflies are where we cross the line
Mojang just ignores our ideas and do their own ideas, which is why Minecraft is not really as popular as before.

removing the fireflies prematurely was due to 2 factors:
+ were not officially in the snapshots
+ there was a group of people who reported the firefly issue to Mojang and they agreed
so comparing fireflies with parrots is quite silly since they are different cases, the parrots were already added but the change was for the same reason, they were informed that parrots cannot eat chocolate cookies, but since they are already added they changed it for seeds, with the fireflies not being added to the game because the change was to directly remove them
Irl Parrots can avoid eating chocolate unless you force them to eat chocolate.
And frogs are stupid enough to eat Fireflies.

I compared the frogs eating fireflies to parrots eating cookies cause it’s kinda the same story: fireflies are poisonous to frogs; chocolate is poisonous to parrots. I was just saying it’s silly if that was their only excuse for removing fireflies from the game when they could’ve kept them and not have frogs eat them like they did with the parrots.

I was thinking about that Red Dragon Idea: why not make it a rare, tamable mob that comes in dozens of colorations? The Dragon would look similar to the Ender Dragon, except it would walk and fly in either form of travel. It could also have numerous melee attacks, like a bite or a swipe attack. The latter would be swiping entities with its claws, dealing a massive amount of damage. It would be a really powerful mount to add to the game, but that's exactly why I think it should be a very rare one. Just like the Dragons we're used to, these tamable Dragons would breathe fire.
Regarding pigman, it's actually a suggestion by a user named Micleee which Notch liked and rewarded the user with Bacon cape (which was taken away because other players wanted personal capes), Pigman doesn't get implemented as the idea got replaced by Villagers which was added in Beta 1.9.
Tbh, you should've done a better research with these instead of giving an incomplete description and history.

I think there are some good points made, but the video does a couple of things wrong:
1st: It uses mods / mock-ups from other peoples videos and mods without giving credit, but also making it seem like it's actually part of the game (just give credit to whoever made the mod)
2nd: You says Mojang won't do a certain idea in the game and instead dislikes the idea WITHOUT ever showing a tweet, comment, or even proof that this opinion has been said from Mojang. An example of this is at 7:00 where YOU say the development was DELAYED, although Dinerbone STATES it was NEVER promised so that's just clear misinformation you're spreading one way or another

Well ideas, and just possibilities which surely are await by many (though to use it to it's fullest we would have to get possibility of placing objects with half a block ofset from the grid - like double door at the middle of building which has odd weidth or to simplyfy - in the middle of 3x3 tunel (either only on horyzontal line or even alo vertical).
Frankly I even once had an idea to but some kind of elven wooden gate... but sideways to make a perfect demonstration of how well the vertical slabs could work (didn't do it yet though)
yes, I wanted to build some real life buildings, but my creativity was limited by no vertical slabs. So I gave up and didn’t play Minecraft for a year, well done mojang.

Don’t forget about sharks which they didn’t want to add because they don’t want real life hostile mobs. Which I kind of understand but you got silverfish which are hostile in game but not in real life (I know there are also spiders but I think it’s because they are actually mutants due to their size. I know bees are also big but spiders are big enough to have skeletons ride on them). You also got the polar bears which first of all are the most dangerous animals in real life. And second, are actually hostile when they are near their cubs. My base is near a snow biome and almost every time I go in there I’ve seen polar bears with their cubs almost all the time. One time I had to transport a villager and have the time I’ve been attacked by polar bears. It’s so annoying.
Anyways, I would really love to add sharks into the game. They would look nice in the ocean. They don’t need to be hostile or anything because real life sharks are not hostile like in movies. They only attack when they are hurt or smell blood. So they could only attack when provoked. Or they can add a sea monster like creature in the game that looks like a shark.
