N idiots of the AC community though its the worst of all, but Infinity, AC3 American port n THIS is truly the worst of the worst AC games the entire community should be hating on more than AH whatsoever really
3:49 : as a European gamer, words can't describe the dismay and sense of loss of translation when booting up AC3 EU version for the first time in 2000 and being thrown into a game with zero story, context or even introduction to characters. The introductory walls of text of the NA version at least existed for you guys and gave a vague sense of context... We didn't have that luxury. Imagine the first mission where you're instructed to fight enemy planes belonging to "General Resource"...I was like "Okay, this general sounds like a bad guy! Probably a high ranking general who defected with some of his men? maybe i'll learn more about him and his goons in future missions". Oh boy.... AC3 EU version is a disgrace, a rip-off and a terrible game. Praise be the fan translations teams from Nemo and Load Word Team, who avenged my childhood.
I remember first learning that the EU version didn't even have those text walls (Back when I made my AC3 Retrospective I thought the text walls were at least in both of the international versions). So when I learned that, I was like "What???" Thank goodness for the fan translation efforts indeed!
Funny, I remember enjoying this game when I was young and I tried getting back into it again only to realize it was that bad... nostalgia blinded me 😂 The young me must have been a different beast since I remember being able to dodge everything and clear stages with ease.
WOOOOOO THE GAME IVE 100%ED. Also while the GBA isn’t known for its stories outside of RPGs, it does have some very good ones. Mega Man Zero 3 and Zero 4 come to my mind but I’m sure there’s many others.
Ace Combat for gba was bad in gameplay way imho. Much better was Airforce Delta Storm: realistic planes, ability to control height level and use it to dodge rockets, different levels with interesting missions and, most important, sane difficulty. Don't take me wrong, I've ended AC3 on max difficulty on all endings and A rank, but in AC advance I couldn't make it to the end of the first level.
8:44 Hey hey! You and me both. Although, my reason for it is because its the first AC game i ever played and had me hooked onto the franchise since.
If you want a better top-down flying game for the GBA, i'd recommend Airforce Delta 2. It outperforms this half-assed game in every category.
This should have been like star fox 1.
Hell maybe star fox 2.
This was my first and only ace combat game until 7. Ended up S ranking every mission.
It's... Okay for a Gameboy plane game.
Average AC fans hate AH. Real fans hate Advanced.

@Derivedwhale45 at least this games were playable
Honestly, General Resource is less a corporate conglomerate and more a new form of nation-state.
Damn. There are more handheld titles than I realized.
I remember as a kid I never made it past the first mission. It felt impossible to beat.
8:47 good choice, Zero along with 3 are my favorites
“We are human company yes”
- Human Soft
a good chunk of the next vid should be dedicated to the music ,props for playing this unkown game for me
Dude, AC is my favorite franchise and i must say it, i've completed this game when i was a kid(HEAVY REGRET)
I would love to see an Ace Zeo Retrospective
I completed this game in around 90 minutes or so. Had a good laugh.

@@ThunderousFolf well, I think that I made a similar comment back then on your AC3 retrospective video (what a masterclass of a video btw) ahahaha

A game that gave me red flags was Frontline: Fuel of War. I returned that game the same day I bought it.

Lol i have a sealed copy of this game
ACZ is the best one.
Air Force Delta on GBA is THE better version of this shit, nuff said :D
My favorite thing about this game is the random headcanon that Ace got his TAC name because he was asexual.
