      Is more like a car into ice physics.

    • @kaeaja
      @kaeaja ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@victuz Incidentally, physics in space isn't really that different if different at all. See it isn't that physics are different in space, but it is more so that space lacks something heavily prevalent in an atmospheric environment, friction as well as air resistance.
      It's like sliding around on Ice, the lack of friction and or otherwise air resistance to create friction, causes you (or in this case the R-352 Sepia) to slide around in a turn if you don't first correct for your forward momentum, which, ordinarily in an environment that has Friction you don't have to since you have resistances to help you.
      So Space works under the same laws of physics, just the only difference is that in space you don't have Friction providing a counter force to help you move.
      This is actually why movement for an Astronaut in a Zero G environment is so fun (or at times annoying) simply moving your arm can make you move in ways you were not expecting unless you anchor yourself in a way to counter the force your own arm is exerting upon you. To put it simply there is something called "AMBAC" or Active Mass Balance Auto Control which is a system in place that helps a craft (or person in a proper suit or knows how to do it with their own body) maintain its orientation and control over itself through a series of thrusters that work together to provide counter force so you as the pilot can maintain proper control of the space craft. In modern space craft these would be RCS thrusters or (Reaction Control System) that activate to help prevent you from say rolling more then you intended or turning more then you intended to in a Zero G environment.
      As for AMBAC? Try this, while sitting in your computer chair, hold your right or left fist against the center of your chest, and then snap your arm out to the left side of your body (say your right hand and snap it out to your right) when you do this you will notice that you've caused your chair to rotate in the opposite direction (if only slightly), this is a small way you can simulate how Force and Counter Force would work in a Zero G environment, this happens due to a inadequate amount of counter force within your environment that would have otherwise prevented your body and chair from rotating in the opposite direction, but if you brace your left knee against your desk and do that same motion again with the same arm, you will prevent that rotation all together. There are ways to do this without needing to physically brace yourself against something but that in a Zero G environment would require a coordinated effort through more then one limb on your body to control your own force on your own body, since our bodies lack RCS thrusters, we would create the counter force we need in a Zero G environment through our limbs.

    Electrosphere was an... interesting take on the franchise...that said, I hope PA never make another mainline entry like this, keep it (relatively) grounded and retain the real-world aircraft, save any direct sequels to this game for spin-offs.

    •  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, now a days would be the perfect time for a sequel or another entry like this because of the rise of AI, so it is more relevant today, this game was too advanced for its time.
