as a Roller Derby fan, it was great to see Mike and Judi.

"Spirits" is appropriate. He lived in Lakeville, CT before he died. One night he was so drunk he tried to break into the bank in Lakeville, thinking it was his house. I've heard the story about his apartment in NYC where the nameplate read "Torn Page" (he was married to Geraldine Page).
The amazing Rip Torn was very versatile actor.
Always LOVE the “Torn and Bleedin’” story! (The actual spelling of Larry’s surname, of course, being BLEIDEN.) These two guys went WAY back and practically grew up together!

Garry Shandling told a great story about Rip: He went to see Rip to get him on The Larry Sanders Show". Rip went into a long meandering speech about never doing television then suddenly stopped and said "Oh hell, lemme see the f*cking thing". He read the script for the pilot then said 'I'm in".
Rayburn is obnoxious as a panelist .
