    I installed a DW 400 in my procharged 2013 mustang gt and went E85 remotely tuned by Blow by Racing. I’m very happy with it.

      13SS LOL how much boost are you running with this dw400? I’m thinking of doing this instead of a return style. Trying to keep the power in the “safe” gen1 range so a fuel system won’t be ideal yet for the power I need

    Good morning, I wanted to ask how many psi the fuel regulator goes for my 2003 4.6 mustang. It has a high compression fuel pump and 24lb injectors but I don't know how many psi to set the fuel pressure regulator.

    I’ve got a sai li return style fuel system and I ordered 2 of the dw400 fuel pumps and the pump you’re showing has the siphon spot on it and the 2 pumps I ordered do not have the siphon spot on it and I will not be able to use them and your video does not show what plug and play kit exactly needed to order, the link in the description only goes to their main website I cannot find those pumps whatsoever

    what exactly is the purpose of the fuel sending unit on the passenger side of the gas tank? I have already replaced the fuel pump but still having spratic fuel issues. I have a 2012 mustang v6

    Do you know the size of the feed line? My twin dw300 fuel pumps didn't come with any extra fuel lines for the fuel pump for 07-10 mustang gt 500 thanks

    Hey man I’m having issues with my pump it’s not sending fuel to the engine. I’ve tried seeing if the connector is sending power to the pump which it is. I took off the test tube cranked the car over and wasn’t getting any fuel to the motor, the car only has 13k miles how can this fuel pump already go bad it’s only been driven on the weekends

    Hi Saw your video and looks straight forward. I'm looking at going to E85 on a 2013 GT with an Edelbrock Eforce pushing 10 psi boost. I've been told a return style fuel system, Id1050X injectors and tune will be required. I see you are installing this on a procharger app. I wondering if this should be enough for my application

    Awesome video man, it was very informative. I got 2 questions, first did your car smell like gas after finishing this and if so how long did it last? Second did u have to upgrade your fuel lines too or were the stock ones big enough for the DW400?

      If you spilled fuel it will for a little bit. Just be careful not to drip any on the carpet, cause that will smell as well.

    Can I install this pump in a stock 18 mustang gt? Does it need a tune? I am doing headers and ported

      No tune if its just a pump swap. you need the tune for the headers and intake though,

    Good video, but you skipped one of the important parts! After you cut the piece where the pump goes in, you didn't show how it was held in place ,how it was oriented, etc. these details cost a LOT of time if not familiar with it. Other than that GOOD video!

    Hey Erik, getting a Procharger soon for my 2017 Mustang V6. if I have a Procharger running a 3.85 pulley, 52# Injectors on 91, do I need a DW400!? I have longtubes, highflow cats, 73mm throttle body and ported intake manifolds.

      If you ever wanna run E85 you will want to have a big fuel pump. :)

      Erik Radzins one last question. Is the P1X overkill for a 2017 V6 Mustang? It’s my understanding that it will flow better and have less parasitic drain than the P1SC1. Also what pulley would it come with?

      Nope, sounds like you might not have the tank ring all the way seated.

      @@raga1s The factory pump I think around 275-285 Lph not sure but the Dw400 was quick plug n play sit-up with the 1000cc is enough to put around 700 rwhp without bap if considering bap definitely would be more room to push. At the moment running TVS 2650 from HARROP down in Australia, 683 rwhp on pump 98 Ron

      17ROUSH sam my guess is yes. I’ll be doing this as well just need to get with a tuner that will tune a boosted application without a fuel system. I would keep it under 750whp with just a bap and dw400

    I have a 2011 GT putting 500hp to the wheels with a supercharger. Eventually I want to bump that up to around 650 on 93 pump gas. My fuel pump went out and was wondering what fuel pump would you reccomend for 600+ whp?

      Send DW a message and see what part number they got for you. Otherwise the stock pump with something like a VooDoo booster will get ya there

      Have someone push down on the pump lid... then pound the ring around. :) Then its easy as pie!

      Just a word of caution; if you're using a metal screwdriver to chisel the ring off and on it can produce sparks which is not ideal when working around fuel vapors. It would be better to use a brass punch as your chisel device.

    I have a roush kit on my 17 gt and I’m making about 680whp but u want to run e85 and turn up the boost 750+WHP - 800+WHP will this dw400 & fic 1000s get me up there or will I need a fuel system?

      800 wheel, you should be looking for a full fuel system.

    So I can run E85 with boost using that pump and injectors ? , I have a twin turbo 2018 5.0 but currently pushing 696 to the wheels using 93 octane was wondering if I need to go all out and buy an expensive fuel system or I can do it with this pumps and a Booster

      I talked to Palm Beach dyno about it they said they can tune my Vortech kit on my 2018 gt with this pump and id injectors on e85 . Hit them up and let me know what you go with because I’m about to order that set up soon .

      I got it to clip on. It was just hard to snap on. Did you get any lights on your dash when you bypassed the oem regulator hose routing? I do have the blank, just wasn't sure whether or not to keep the oem regulator hose routing within the hanger.

    Hey Erik i had this pump installed by a shop and running my procharged 2015 mustang gt on e85 now. The problem i'm having is the car is struggling to start despite me cycling the car in the on position...it does always start but has to crank alot longer than i prefer...is that normal with these?

      Nevin Barley I’m sure if you call DW they will insure you that a check valve shouldn’t be needed with there pump.

      @@Pistol755 thanks and i Just spoke with Mark at deatschwerks. It turns out some cars work fine and some cars do have the hard starting issue. He said they are working on a new pump with a check valve built in but said i could add a russell check valve on the outlet line; that would just require cutting up the factory lines.

      They supply a new sock, and it just goes on the same way the stock one does. Slip fit.

    Can someone tell me what is the purpose of the siphon line is and if it needed? I am trying to install a walbro 525 but it does not have a anywhere to connect it to.

      If you don't connect that line, you will only get 1/2 tank of fuel. you have to have the siphon line, to get fuel from the other tank.

    BTW the pump does not work for 2011-2014 Mustang. Those years require 9-403-1046, not the 9-403-147 that fits 2015-2018.

      Different part numbers yes... but the same "pump" and basically same install.

      It is the same pump body, but they are not interchangeable. The s197 pump will not work on a s550. S550 will not work on a s197. Go to DWs website if you don't believe me. Pretty easy to see the different fittings on the top of the pump.

    Installed the pump in my '12 GT with a VMP Gen 3 blower. Fueled up with true e85. Guess what. Pump will not support my engine. Tried it without my JMS bap. Ran out of fuel. Hooked up said bap. Turned it all the way up to 21 VDC and still ran out of fuel. Looks like I will back my fuel down to e65 or so. Heck my '17 pump with the JMS had enough fuel at e54. May just go dual GT500 pump and be done with it.

      You may have a kinked hose, leak, or restriction. I don't know what power level you were at, but I have personally done mid 700's now on E85 with it. I thought MAK performance made 800 wheel, but you would have to ask them. I run my JMS at the 18v setting.

      I may in fact have a defective pump per DW. It will blow a 30 amp fuse. I had to rig a 40 amp. I should be at 800whp.

    A good tip is not to have a freaking light next to your fuel tank while removing the pump .. it can catch on fire ... Big no no

      Not if you aren't changing anything else.
