What's up guys very informative. I like the tool that is made to fit the top of the fuel sending unit. The other way seems like a pain in the ass to get the pressure ring off the other way. Cool video. Man can they put anymore plastic hoses to put back together the pump.

Btw that pick tool set is often around 1 or 2 dollars at harbor freight, anyone reading this should get themselves 3 or 4 sets and just keep them stored anywhere you might need them lol you really dont need to buy anything better than that set for regular picking stuff. If youre doing shit that needs leverage then you might want a better set for that, but these picks are great for the $
Hey guys love the video. Quick question. I did the swap and the dw works great but it blew the fuse in the engine by for the fuel pump. I was going WOT switching from 4th to 5th when the fuse blew after 3 days of driving on E85. Have you guys had any issues with the pump blowing a fuse?? I'm fbo E85 2011 mustang gt. I switched to a 20 fuse. It was a 15. Should I be worried about it blowing again? Should I be worried about causing stress to the wiring for the fuse system??
it shouldnt blow a fuse. if its blowing a fuse you have an issue with the wiring shorting out or something maybe blocking the pump so its having to work harder than normal.
Would it be possible to go into more detail about seperating the two halfs of the fuel sender assembly? I got all three tabs pushed in and I still can't get it to seperate, it feels like there's something else catching under the middle tab.
@@automafiaracingManaged to get it! Turns out theres that little black H shaped piece thats plugged in tightly to the lower section holding me up. Got it installed along with your ported intake manifolds, gt throttle body adapter and MU52 injectors along with an e85 tune, going to be fun!

Hi I have an issue I recently ran into. I have an 05' V6 I recently procharged. The pump primes, car starts and runs fine. But after driving around for awhile it's decides not to have fuel pressure and I have to cycle the key to get pressure back. I did use a DW300 pump. I also had the exact same issue with an 07' V6 I no longer have. That car was NA but also using a DW300. I'm at a lose for what could be causing the issue and it's very odd that I had the exact same issue on 2 different mustangs using a DW300.
How are these in a super charged application. i have a 14 roush and just put a cai and 82 mm pulley. my tuner is telling me i dont have enough fuel now.

I just purchased this pump for my 08. the install instructions say that upgraded wiring is needed and a fuel pressure regulator, or switch to a return style system. did you install this pump? how did it work?
@@automafiaracing reason I ask is because on my 06 GTO I’m running dw400 with a boost a pump because My GTO doesn’t have enough juice to power this pump. That’s why I asked if this car need it.

Yes you can. The injectors need a tune the fuel pump does not

It's a siphon basically because it's a saddle tank

Its a different pump/install kit but for the most part its similar yes.

You shouldn't need a retune for a dw400 as long as everything else is the same
