Robert Morris is not sorry for what he did to her, he's sorry that he got caught. Base on that phone call he never acknowledged or apologize for the hurt and pain he cause her. You can see the narcissistic in him when she talk about what she lose he start talking about what he lose. What he need to and don't understand is that everything he went through was due to his action as an adult that he had full control over. Everything she went through and is still dealing with is due to his actions that she had no control over he cause the situation she did not.

What Robert Morris did was abhorrent, but the fact that her parents allowed this to be swept under the rug was worse. They were responsible for protecting and defending their daughter, but they failed at both. They chose to remain in good standing with their church community at the expense of their daughter's dignity.

This is why I don't trust ANYONE in "ministry." The assistant pastor of the church I attended had an affair with my now ex-wife for 5 years. I was busy working full-time and going to school while helping her to go through medical school. That kept me so busy I didn't notice anything. But when I started questioning their relationship they both started a heavy dose of gaslighting me. And when I stopped taking the psychological medication for bipolar disorder...they told me I was bipolar...she quickly divorced me. I lost everything, my children, I was left homeless and was kicked out of the church. No one helped me. The whole affair became public in the church about a year after the divorce. Even the music minister was involved helping to set up their hotel rendezvous. Everyone rallied around the assistant pastor's wife and began the process of "restoring" him. But no one came to support or help me in any way. Not even so much as a "we're sorry." I had lost everything. I have two children who don't know the truth and will not talk to me even after 25 years. This is why I will never trust someone who is in ministry again...especially after their performance with the covid debacle. Preachers were all cowards and ran, using Romans 13 for a smokescreen for their cowardice. I am done with man made American "Christianity." I long to fellowship with believers who are under persecution in China, Burma and India.

Had she not recently told publicly it would have continued to be swept under the rug. From the age of 19 I believe I heard in an interview, Cindy and her family have on countless times gone to Morris, other pastors and elders and spoke about the truth of what happened to her. This because these churches were bringing Morris in as a guest speaker, etc, and none of them did anything to bring this truth to light. There are "many" along the way that should have brought this sin/crime into the light, but they didn't. Can you put an amount of money of 44 years of enduring what happened to her and witnessing a man that for all intensive purposes seems to be basking in the limelight of being a Godly man? 2 million if she even gets that is a small price to pay imho. Repentance should look like Morris taking responsibility for his actions of abusing a 12 yr old child and making monetary restoration to her for his crime; being that he is not able to be charged criminally.

In a recent video, you claimed that pastors with grievous sins can be restored to ministry. Whilst misusing the verses by Paul about the qualifications of leaders and elders.
Scripture is clear. Certain sins that bring discredit to non believers disqualify men from serving as leaders, pastors and elders for life. And not only this, this Robert Morris situation shows another aspect. That when men have certain grievous sins, they can't be ever trusted if they have fully repented. You don't know if these particular serious sins can resurface later. The Bible is clear. Certain sins disqualify for life. And you were wrong in that video Corey.

@@smartchristians Corey, with all due respect. When Paul says that leaders and elders are to have a good reputation with outside and above reproach, that clearly implies that some sins disqualify for life. A former paediphile can never be a leader in the church. There are sins that are common in all of us that no one ever expects a pastor never to have committed. If you've gotten drunk, taken illicit drugs, lost your temper, lied, stolen etc, none of these disqualify as "above reproach", because everyone has committed some of these.
But if you're a convicted rapist, domestic violence abuser etc, you never should be a leader.
The fact that this Morris scandal has resurfaced decades later is proof of the wisdom and veracity of the scriptures teaching on this matter.

We know he repented because the definition of repentance is to turn away and never do it again. After 35 years we have proof.
Thirdly. The real issue isn't with Robert. While he sin was extremely bad it was no worse than King David's sin and God forgave him
The real heartbreak is that Christians are refusing to forgive Robert like God has.
Fourth Cindy is not a girl anymore now she is 50 years old and suddenly this looks more like blackmail than reparations because if she hasn't dealt with it by now the money won't make any difference.

Has there been any other young ladies come forth? Why did she wait so long to broadcast this? Who knows what suffering another goes through? Who can say and why are so many ready and willing to judge others? No one but the two involved and God will know all the facts and until we do maybe judgement should be in the Lord's hands. Is forgiveness no longer found, or practiced? Again let those with no sin be the judge.
If one has to be totally blameless, sin free, whatever, then no one is qualified. We have all sinned and fallen short. Dirt will keep coming out on others, Should we judge another because ours hasn't been revealed yet? If God can talk through a jackass, He can speak through anyone.
