We consistently use Dragon Shield across all TCGs and use a wide variety of colors, but almost always matte as the have the superior shuffle feel. Thanks for the video. ❤️
i reviewed them and compared them in other video’s, which you can find in my tcg accessories playlist. but check this one for sure: th-cam.com/video/ddhvNnXqaKI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=N45Sw0_F7LbpUKMJ
Great video, I really enjoy watching your collection progress and the care you take with your cards. Great tips as well. I only collect foil legendary creatures, I know kind of lame, but I like them. I use ultra pro vivid zip binders and dragon shield clear classic sleeves. I don't double sleeve because visually, in the binder, it takes away from the foiling too much I find. How do you preserve/ collect foils, and do you think it's a mistake not double sleeving?
hey andrew! thanks so much for the kind comment! i really appreciate it and i am glad you enjoy the vids! 😁👊🏻 yeah, some call me lame because i collect antiquities artist proofs or old cards in general. let them talk and do what YOU enjoy! if you like foil legendary creature and that makes you happy, that’s awesome! i think double sleeving is important for the longterm protection of the cards. especially old cards, as they are sealed more or less air tight that way and last longer. when it comes to foils, i tend to double sleeve as well, to counter curling to some degree. it helps a bit. i store my foils in ultimate guard boulder deck boxes, the hard plastic ones, and i fill up the box to the brim, so the cards are pressed flat. there still is some curling going on, unfortunately, but that way i minimize it. hope that helps! 🙏🏻❤️
hey alex! yeah, still a long way to go with the artist proof set, but hey, you gotta work on something 😜! for inners i either use kmc perfect fit or the dragon shield inner sleeves. 😁👊🏻
I use the clear dragonshields for anything that is for display purposes, such as cards in binders or in a display on the wall, or just expensive cards that are in a box. I use dual matte colored sleeves for decks, trying to match the color to the vibe of the deck. Even if I take apart a deck, I will eventually build another deck that uses those sleeves. At this point, I have more than enough deck sleeves, but I do keep buying the clear ones every once in a while. They cost about 12$ US for a box of 100ct, but occasionally I will see them for 9$. Since I use most of those for set collections, I just include it in the cost of the set, same as the binder they are stored in.
that’s awesome, comforting orange! i donthe same with the matte black’s, but i really love the clear one’s! and yes, they are pretty expensive. i usually pick up a few everytime they are under 10 bucks too! great minds think alike! 😁👊🏻
One of my next projects is to go through my board games and figure out what cards need sleeving. Not sure when I'll get to this as I'm undertaking a far more extensive project now, but it is on the list. I buy in bulk -- recently 10k BCW sleeves for outer sleeves for my non-play display Magic sets. As I no longer play much, I have to decide the long-term fate of my play sets. The BCW sleeves will not work for these and I very likely will got the Dragon Shield route. Again, it's not the next project, so not sure when I'll get to it. Thanks for the review.
hey penguinlust! what helps me with my boardgames is eithe bgg->sleeves or a site called sleeveyourgames. there you can check which sleeves you need. sounds like you have a couple of ambitious projects, buddy! 😜😁👊🏻
hey there! thanks for the comment! i appreciate it! i do use inners, yes, but since i made the video i found the dragon shield inners to be a little too tight for my taste. somi switched back to kmc inners, which fit mtg cards well without damaging them 😁👊🏻
@NerdAndProudOfIt what would you suggest is more important? Sleeves ir inners? My kpop cards remain on their binder all the time, but they are beggining to lose their holographic effect! And I want to prrserve them better :(!
what kind of inners do you use, handheldgamer? i honestly have around 5000 dragonshield sleeve and they all are fine to double sleeve my cards 🤔. try kmc inners and dragon shield outers, that always works for me.
hey man! i do not have any marvel masterpiece cards, so i do not have the ability to check that. if they do have the same size as a regular tcg card like magic the gathering or pokemon cards, then i assume they fit just fine 😁👊🏻
@@NerdAndProudOfIt cheers for the reply. Very new to this and I’ve read that they are standard sized. I did notice they don’t have rounded corners so maaaybe perfect fit sleeves may be an issue. I ordered the dragon shield perfect fit sealable sleeves to test first then see what to do from there.
@@IQeratof course! and normally perfect fits are not a big issue, even with non rounded corners. be aware that the dragonshield inners can be a very tight fit, though. i suggest you invest another 3 bucks in kmc inners. those might give you just a little more room to comfortably sleeve the cards 👊🏻
pls let me know in the comments what sleeves you use and if you buy in bulk, like me!? 😁👊🏻

@@NerdAndProudOfIt 😆 Indeed.
What type of binder and pages are you using in this video? Looks really nice.
hey there omnilimbo! thanks for the comment! i am using a dragonshield codex binder. i mainly use those, as they are great!

Hi, really like this "double set" :)
I too use dragon shield but what kind of sleeve do you use for the "first sleeve"?
hey alex! yeah, still a long way to go with the artist proof set, but hey, you gotta work on something 😜!
for inners i either use kmc perfect fit or the dragon shield inner sleeves. 😁👊🏻

@ i personally would use sleeves, if the cards are in binders anyways. they are less harmfull for the cards than inners 👊🏻
I got 5 boxes and none of my cards are able to be double sleeved. Of courae i get the worst batch!
Where every aingle one is bad

Which outer sleeves should I use for one piece tcg I use one piece art sleeves
hey there! i believe the art sleeves are used as outer sleeves. you probably should consider adding inner sleeves. 👊🏻
Hmmm are dragon shield sleeves a good fit for Marvel Masterpieces cards? or it wouldn't fit them (either sleeve/double sleeving)
hey man! i do not have any marvel masterpiece cards, so i do not have the ability to check that. if they do have the same size as a regular tcg card like magic the gathering or pokemon cards, then i assume they fit just fine 😁👊🏻

I use the dragon shields but also use the UP Eclipse matte.. and the Rline perfect fit round corner V2.0
hmm, i have to check those out, solargod! 😁👊🏻
I like the Dragon Shield color called "Soul", it's a matt color I think.
thanks for the comment, alaksin! have not seen that one yet, but i’ll check it out! 👊🏻😁
The Clear Sleeves are insane Bro.
yeah, i really like them a lot 👊🏻😁
Dragon shields are the best🎉
imho, they really are, doom! good to see i am not the only one who thinks so! 😁👊🏻
Jesus you have a lot of backup sleeves. You're like a sleeves prepper 😂
i hate it if i wanna sleeve a deck or something and i can’t, jimmi! 😂😁👊🏻
